The best restaurants serving Default food in Cherwell South East

Went here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The menu is varied with quite a few choices. It was quiet on the day we went. Food was good and service was ok.

Terrible customer service. We placed an order online and when we called up to chase the order as it hadn't arrived the restaurant worker was extremely rude and unapologetic

We ordered Chicken Breast Wraps and some Peri Chips, all i would like to say is that i wasn't dissapointed, the food was very nice and warm. we will definatley be ordering again.

We were visiting Aardvark Books and beginning to feel overwhelmed by the sheer choice on offer, so stopped for coffee and cake. You can sit in (surrounded by books) or outside, all very comfortable - good coffee and lovely home-made cakes - I had a traditional Victoria Sandwich and my other half had Lemon Drizzle. Our food and drink was served on an eclectic mix of vintage china ware and it was all very relaxed.

Admittedly, we were warned before entering that the till wasn't functioning, so we were asked to be patient, which, naturally we were. The younger girl got on with making drinks etc efficiently, but the older cashier was almost going into meltdown. Yes, it's stressful, yes, it causes slight delays, which we understood totally, but please smile or make a joke about it and don't make customers feel as if it's their fault. No one was impatient or grumpy in the queue. We all understood the situation, so make the most of it and speak kindly to your staff and customers please. As others have stated in their reviews, being told to wait by the till for your cakes and drinks etc, makes it cramped and uncomfortable, which obviously made the server more on edge. On the plus side, food and drinks were lovely. Just please smile, it's a service industry requiring a friendly face!

The atmosphere is good. Dine-in is a good choice and takeaway is not recommended as the sushi/sashimi is made upon receiving order and best to be eaten after they are served. Since they are not prepared in advance, the freshness will be compromised for takeaway order. Be prepared to wait as great food needs time to prepare. Worth the wait. The other foods on the menu are equally tasty. Must try them yourself. Great value for money.

Great service. Nicest pizza 🍕I think I’ve ever had - for anyone who’s interested it was chicken and pesto. So tasty and the base was light and crisp.

Excellent food and service. I took my family (10 of us) to celebrate my parents 70th wedding anniversary everyone had the roast which was very tasty and nicely cooked highly recommended.

Delivery driver was rude, ignorant and woke up my newborn baby after I already made clear instructions to NOT ring the doorbell!

Beautiful English pub and very friendly staff.

Great pub, friendly locals, good memories , fair choice of beer and wines, really should get to visit more often, don't sell tayto crisps though 😉
