We were visiting Aardvark Books and beginning to feel overwhelmed by the sheer choice on offer, so stopped for coffee and cake. You can sit in (surrounded by books) or outside, all very comfortable - good coffee and lovely home-made cakes - I had a traditional Victoria Sandwich and my other half had Lemon Drizzle. Our food and drink was served on an eclectic mix of vintage china ware and it was all very relaxed.

Excellent atmosphere and food. Coffee and home made cakes a speciality. Bought an interesting book as well!

The cafe is just a sideshow to the bookstore which is surprisingly quite large. Just typical cafe fare, where we only ordered tea, a slice of sponge cake that was fine and a slice of coffee walnut cake that was a bit dry.

We found the shop and cafe by chance on the way to our campsite, needed the loo so we pulled in here. Had lovely sandwiches, cake and coffee and it was all made freshly and tasted amazing. We were really impressed with the cost and will happily call in again if passing.

Visiting the cafe and perusing the books is part of our routine. The school holidays come and it’s a must-visit destination. Sheridan and the team are always friendly and efficient. Some ‘blue mountain’ coffee and a couple of Croque Monsieurs will put everything right with the world. Wonderful, tranquil location. We are lucky to have this bookshop within easy reach of Leominster.

We go here fairly regularly and love it. Always friendly service with not the slightest hint of pushiness. First class tea and cakes - coffee too! - and a tremendous selection of books to browse. We shall definitely be going back many times.

Just great. Have tea, soup and homemade cakes and browse an enormous range of second hand books on two floors. Like something from Harry Potter!

A great selection of interesting ethically sourced coffee and homemade cakes followed by an unhurried hour or so browsing the wide range of books. Although I didn't find the book the I was looking for, I came away with several other interesting ones. The owners know their stuff!

Fabulous selection of second-hand books. Wonderful Earl Grey tea and sponge cake. Tucked away but worth the trouble in finding it!

Very good cafe serving a good range of cajes, got drinks and toasted sandwiches. The toasted sandwiches were superb. Range of coffees on offer was very good and there was a Soya milk option. The hot chocolate melt drinks were the best I have ever tasted.

Tea and cake were just what were needed after a long walk in the surrounding hills. A range of cakes on offer from lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut and Victoria sponge. My eye was caught by the gluten free almond and blueberry cake, said to be lighter in texture. This is one of the few tea shops in the south of the county that offers Rooibos leaf tea - a big star for that. Cake arrived and after my 1st mouthful spotted a blue mould colour where no blueberries would have tainted it. Very disappointing and on returning it to the counter, it was very obvious to see blue mould on the remaining cake on the plate. Please take care in what you choose - there’s no excuse for serving cake that’s been sat out for too many days and going mouldy. A replacement slice of an alternative was offered and accepted but sadly didn’t quite do it for me.

Good home made cakes in a bookshop. Great selection of teas (leaf) and coffees (cafetiere). Perfect after a long walk in the surrounding countryside.

We visited Aardvark Cafe after attending the Scarecrow festival. 6 of us had a drink and cake each and we ate every crumb. Super tasty cakes! The hot chocolate with all the toppings on was equally yummy. Prices were fair. The only negative I have: It was a very busy day due to visitors to the Scarecrow Festival so the cafe was busy. There didn't seem enough staff waiting on, for the amount of customers, so service was slow. Some of our party had eaten their cake and drank their drink before others had even been served theirs. If there are events on in the village again, I would suggest putting on more staff to accommodate the custom.

The Aardvark cafe sits among a book shop. The shop sells all kinds of books for all tastes and ages. The cafe isn't huge but the food is nice. The homemade soup was delicious. They also had Gluten Free rolls to go with it. The food is simple toasted sandwiches etc and cakes. We enjoyed a couple of visits. Plenty of parking.

Been in a few times and the beer has improved. More choice of lager and better maintained which is a good thing if you're in just for a drink. Most people aren't in just for a drink, it's an eaters pub. The food is good but expensive. Had shoulder of lamb, three pints of lager and a desert and it came to £50. No complaints about any of it, service was good but that's what to expect.

Went for Sunday lunch and had a great experience all round. Food was great and value for money, as was the service from the staff. We even got a friendly wave from chef as we left after our meal. Will definitely be going here again.

It was a quiet Tuesday night late October but we were made very welcome. Menu is targeted and typical pub grub. It was well cooked and presented. Don't expect 'fine dining' but do enjoy a pleaant evening.
