Great place for regular drinks and food, love seeing the staff as really friendly and helpful. Jack, Becky and Chloe are great.

I have used this pub for many occasions and I have always found the food especially the mixed grill always cooked perfect, big shout out to the kitchen team. I am in a wheelchair and i absolutely love coming to this pub they treat me with very good repect and are very friendly and help in every way they can which i love and make me feel very welcome and the toilet facilities are brilliant too even when my club arranged to come here the Phab club they really enjoyed it so we are planning another visit soon. I truly love this pub i wouid definatly recommend it to others staff and atmosphere is great and i wish i could give more stars as it a excellent pub and and atmosphere

It’s been changed management a few times and had refurb on interior a few times, but still good. Service is good, and pub can be busy when football is on. For food I had the classic fish and chips which was good, warm and fresh. The drinks nice and cold. The interior was clean as well as the toilets. There is plenty of free parking - though you need to remember to enter your vehicle registration number on their tablet near the bar.

My visit to The Red Lion was excellent, the food the staff and the overall atmosphere was great. They were also showing football over various screens.

Last time I went, we were greeted by a man spitting into a potted plant next to the front door, which rather set the tone. The only positive is the friendly staff.

Popped in en route home after trying some other local pubs. Ordered at the bar and we were greeted by a lovely member of staff named Rachel. I have coeliac disease and she went out of her way to make sure I knew what was available to me. She recommended the gammon and after perusing the menu we both decided on that and it was really good. Prices were reasonable and the food was good. Really pleased.

Stopped in for a quick Tuesday night bite to eat. Food was quick, and service was great. Nice atmosphere for a Tuesday evening. Definitely recommend.

The food was out of this world and the service couldn’t get any better and the music was a nice touch as well as the tv showing live games.

Went there after visiting Blenheim palace. Had a young baby and a puppy with us, Annabel and Heather were really lovely and couldn’t do more to help!

Went in on a saturday night for a drink and was pleasantly surprised they had live music! Not many pubs have live music anymore so we were over the moon! Had a few ‘bar’ snacks before and they were definitely worth the money! We were served by chloe, she was fantastic and so friendly !

I didn't fancy cooking and washing-up a Sunday roast. The friendly staff were able to accommodate my family on short notice, and I had an easy afternoon.

Oxford United in the final Wembley, an amazing event, I took my mum who is not in great shape quite frail to the red lion where she watched The match on the TV in the red lion pub, along with an amazing meal and she had a dessert in the second half of the match, we were very well looked after by Chloe, a very enjoyable day.

I have been in this wonderful pub a few times with my family, the food was great and had a wonderful selection for all the kids, the staff are all welcoming and very professional, the cleanliness was overall good and we will be back soon

I came here with my family I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and the wide veriaty of food and drink was incredible, the staff was bubbly and kind so I didn't feel awkward they were also very professional ,the pub was clean and the tables were sparkeling,I will definitely be back soon 👍

Great classic sausage sandwich with a perfectly gooey egg compressed between two fluffy slabs of delicious bloomer bread. Can’t believe the chef even came out to ask if it was alright. Majorly impressed. Great cheeky stop off 👍🏼

Went for a family meal at this pub, shame the language of the customers wasn't appropriate for the atmosphere, a man in the bar decided to be his own DJ playing music really loudly on his phone. Burger was over-cooked, table and menus were sticky and grubby, from our table we had a direct view of the urinals every time the gents door was opened. The staff being friendly is the only positive thing to say, if it hadn't been for the kids being hungry, as it was a last minute stop on a long drive, we would have gone elsewhere.

Beware everyone who visits this pub. They do not let you know about the parking charge even if you are just collecting people who have spent money in the place. Run by euro car parks and you will find yourself with a hefty fine despite people having spent money there. Don't go there - plenty of other very decent places to drink and dine. TripAdvisor have recommended that people should not bother visiting this pub.

It’s a big pub with something for everyone. Sport on TV if you want it, but there’s plenty of space to get away from it if you don’t. Lots of separate areas make it perfect for a quiet drink or a big meet-up with friends. Plenty of parking, which is free as long as you remember to enter your reg number at the bar. Lovely, friendly staff, an open fire and a pleasant atmosphere. Great choice of drinks too. Live music on the weekends is excellent, but the place is big enough to get away from it if that’s not your cup of tea (although it is mine). In my opinion, it’s a pub that does food, rather than a restaurant with a bar. Having said that, the food I’ve had there has been pretty good too. It’s the staff that make a place good, and these guys have nailed it.

Been coming into the RL for a few now, the main reason for returning is the amazing service and professionalism of two of the Team there As far as I know its Rebecca and Jack...... They always remember my name and ghe drink type.they are both humorous and really hard working. Used to go next door but due to them both we now frequent the Red Lion Thanks guys

I have been to the red lion on a few occasions recently and been happy with my experience. The staff are lovely. Chantelle served me last and she has a great energy and it is always 'service with a smile'. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is a great atmosphere. One of my favourite pubs in Kidlington for sure.

Came to the pub for breakfast. Annabel served us made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us very clearly and with a lovely smile. Lovely cosy atmosphere with the fire going and food was spot on. Many thanks

Food was sub standard and cold , we had to send both roast dinners back as cold , potatoes with sea bass were hard . Had to send apple crumbles back twice as cold when it came out cold again we sent it back and asked them to be removed from the bill . A 20 % discount was applied to our bill, however the cold unappealing food spoilt our visit .

Avoid. The food was the worst I’ve had for a long time. I ordered the “smashed avacado on toast” - what I received was neither smashed avacado, nor toast. Instead I was served soggy, warm, cheap sliced bread, and highly processed guacamole that had been very thinly spread. I can’t believe a kitchen allowed this to be served and I’m not sure how such a simple dish could go so wrong.

Nice family pub. They really look after me here as I'm a celiac. They have a tablet that has as app called the glass onion. U can see everything available to u. They take pride to not cross contaminate any of the food.

Rebecca was very helpful when I booked a table for 8 and her greeting was friendly on arrival. The service she and Chloe provided was speedy and courteous. The food was great.
