Just all round an awesome bar and venue. Food was excellent and the bar had a great atmosphere. Plus the bands were awesome, saw CLKWRK and All Hail Hyena and sounded incredible

This would be a great place to go if it wasn't -5°C. It was super uncomfortable, we were literally shaking we were that cold. Completely ruins the atmosphere. But it has brilliant decor, loved the quirkiness of it!

Awful service. Left at the bar waiting for ages . Picking up glasses with no attention given to customers.

A quirky place with different acts, went on a Friday and saw a wind band and a singer also. Prices are fairly high, was served a lumpy Baileys but they were very accommodating and provided me a new one when returned. I would go back if I was in the area again

A pretentious venue designed for the very young and reckless crowd. Almost impossible to get served. Overcrowded. A stage set out only for travelling bands or original writers. No room for the local musicians to entertain. Despite the back wall being splashed with signatures of all the musicians that once supported the venue when it began. Long forgotten. It’s what happens when you dump a city venue in the middle of a market town

Always a delight visiting AKA such a nice vibe of a bar, with great drinks, good atmosphere and fab live music.

Boring,staff dont make conversation to outsiders

We recently went to the Urban Brunch Bottomless Brunch at AKA and baring in mind it was a bank holiday and the sun was shining so it was very busy, but our waiter Callum was incredible! Some bottomless brunches I’ve been to in the past there has been such slow service, but Callum was on it topping up the drinks and making the experience even better-such a fabulous brunch!

Overall a okay place to have drinks with friends . Directed at a younger age group primarily but open to all . Not the cleanest bar I have been to sticky tables are plenty but it has nice environment and a mortal kombat arcade machine which is alot of fun after a few drinks outdoor smoking area towards the back and live music occasionally

I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. This is such a cool place in Banbury, compatible with some of London’s best bars. Great music, cool decor, friendly staff, chilled vibes and lighting, broad range of drinks and dog friendly. What more could you want? Please keep it up, this town needs more places like this.

Apparently it's been down Parsons Street for ages, but I've just missed it. Quirky and original fixtures and fittings. Friendly place, with music and cocktails.

Interesting décor. No coke, only pepsi max 😮‍💨 Nice selection of Camden ales on tap. My shorts glass looked as though everyone had handled it before I got to. Staff are pleasant enough though.

My recent visit to AKA {formerly Yates} was awesome the door staff, bar staff ,and clientele were exceptionally friendly. The pub caters mainly for students and young people, however although I am in my senior years I was treated with a lot of respect. The only negative about this venue is the bar tariff which unfortunately is a tad expensive, however with this being said I will most likely visit again

Stumbled across this cutesy, funky bar midweek while on a business trip. Always a bit weird going into a bar on your own but the staff were welcoming & friendly. Highly recommend the amazing pizza, don’t expect anything posh, served in a box & eaten with your fingers (how else should pizza be eaten) & tasted wonderful. If ever I find myself in Banbury I’d definitely be back.

Aka is my favourite pub in Banbury. Definitely stands out with its decor and atmosphere. Some evenings they also do life music. It's a place where you can enjoy evening with your friends over some drinks and food.

Such a terrible place. We were sitting and chatting when the member of security asked us to follow him. They were rude and even shouted at us. Don't recommend this place to anyone. Full of suspisious people and criminals.

Visited here recently for “Unlimited pizza and Prosecco” in a whole 2 hour sitting all I got offered was 4 slices of pizza! And even then it was whatever pizza they decided to make and you have no choice of preference. Apparently people who had paid for this service was a low priority for food despite it being “unlimited”

Very disappointed in the bar staff they are very rude and bad customer service manners .me and friends ordered around of drinks gin and tonic and was only getting tonic and when I went back to question them about it they was very rude to me and then refused to sever me all night

It took an absolute age to get served in this bar and when we did the attitude of the bar staff was far from considerate - their attitude was not empathetic to the customer’s experience but more anchored around their own convenience. Disappointing is an understatement. Won’t be returning.

My go to place when visiting Banbury.... usually have some live music on too. One issue is prices are a bit steep

Loved it. Good beer, my pint was off (flat and tasted like eggs) even though the manager didn't agree I still got a new beer free of charge which was really tasty. The people watching is something else, sooooooo entertaining, get a seat in a corner and watch the night unfold

Don't bother if you don't have track and trace! No option to write your name and number and don't bother making a joke about it the bouncer has no sense of humour!

Absolutely LOVED this place! It's quirky, has a chilled vibe and the bar staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We sat in the open window seat and spent an hour sipping our drinks (they have 100 gins to choose from!) and taking design inspiration for our upcoming new home from the fabulous interior! Will definitely return when in that neck of the woods 👍

Our group "Out and About in North Oxfordshire " Meet Up, regularly gather here for an AKA Friday Happy Hour...or two! We are always given the warmest welcome. Great pizzas, cocktail deals and dog friendly too!

Been there twice, the first the place seemed quite a normal pub, the second it seemed more like a place for young people as the evening went on. Full of different kinds of fancy furniture. On some evenings it is possible to find loud music and everything. Sorry I didn't like it much tbh, I would define it just "normal", but I guess it's up to personal opinions in this case. Would certainly recommend it for someone looking for some "evening" movement tho.

This place is slowly becoming a staple in Banbury's nightlife as it has a lot too offer such as live music regularly and an extensive list of drinks catering to everyone. It also has a lot of friendly staff who are happy to help.

Great place to chill with very unique drinks

It's a no-brainer really, but I think the secret to AKA's success is the fact that they actually take care of the musicians and DJs that play there. Happy musicians play better music, which makes people want to party, which makes them spend more money on alcohol... And given it's not even a music venue you'd think some other pubs might have figured this out by now too...

Quirky bar, good beer and music

Went for a birthday meal here and wasn’t impressed. Rude management staff, dirty cups and the cocktails we had were shocking. The daiquiri’s were NOT made right and were warm. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

If you do not know where to go in Banbury this is this place. Or for a date, night out or just a pint or some good coctail. People says that it is over priced. But for me is just high standard place where you feel good and will not meet random people cause it is not so cheap as they expect. The best things in life are not for free. See you there.

Amazing drinks and decent edgy atmosphere

Nice atmosphere and most normal drinks are on offer at a decent price. The pool table is a great feature, me and my friends always play while out for drinks. During weekdays when the bar is a lot quieter there is a really nice atmosphere in there. My only complaint is that some days it gets very busy and you can end up waiting over 10 minutes to get served at the bar.

Great cocktails and the rowing boat is one of my favourite seats. Very quirky with great cocktail deals
