The Broken Fork Kebab House in Cherwell

I visit my uncle in Bicester time to time and get our food from Broken Fork, is always very good. Love chicken doner, cheese burger and the pizza!! Probably the longest established kebab shop in Bicester and the owner is always there, very friendly as well.

Good chips, I get them reasonably often.

I absolutely love going to The Broken Fork! The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are really reasonable. It’s my go-to place for a quick and tasty meal. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t put 0 stars… I ordered my food at 6:20 pm on uber, my partner called when it was 20 minutes after latest arrival time (at 1 hour and 10 minutes)and they said the driver had just left. 40 minutes later he called again to ask for an update and they said the food had been left with hotel reception because we did not answer phone calls after explaining we had not received any calls the person on the phone got quite angry and hung up the phone. There was never an attempt to call I have perfect service and 0 missed calls, I went to reception and asked if they had received order and their response was “yes and you should 100% complain”. They said the driver would not give a name and said no name was attached to the order and was adamant about leaving it with them regardless, it had been sat in reception for around 30 minutes and was cold and sweaty when I finally managed to get my hands on it. I will never order from the broken fork again, the service is unbelievably poor and their unprovoked behaviour over the phone is disgusting.

Love the mixed grill kebab from here, no where else does this- at first look seems a bit expensive but very much worth the money a LOT of meat. Good with garlic and chilli sauce...

Very good quality, really upped their game since I last came. Meat and salad are fresh, good value.

Friendly staff and good sized portions, very happy with my kebab & chips, No need to get anywhere else.

I eat there once a week or so. Food always brilliant never had a bad meal. Boss man always welcoming and hands on. I would recommend highly

First time coming here and I must say it wasn’t a pleasant first experience. i saw 2 men making my brother in laws burger and they dropped one side of his burger bun on the floor they didn’t know I saw and so they picked it back up and proceeded to put salad in it , after me telling them I saw them drop it on the floor he said it’s fine and didn’t want to listen to me I was absolutely in discussed from seeing that and they obviously don’t care about there customers hygiene! one man was nice enough and told the other men to make me new buns 🤦🏼‍♀️ but one of the men clearly has anger issues and wants to give his customs dirty burger buns cause he then got angry and started throwing things around the kitchen. Other then this everyone agreed the food was okay but after seeing what I saw today I unfortunately can’t ever see my food being high standards so I won’t be coming back.

Thought I would try this take away as I'm working away from home and have to say I was happy with everything about the place. The staff are great and love a good laugh and make you feel very welcome and have a laugh with you. They don't take themselves too seriously. Very well mannered too. Food was great and loved their chilli sauce. Food portions are massive and keenly priced. Have now been a few times and will definitely be back and would recommend.. Good place guys keep having fun and serving good food.

Something has changed, been ordering from them for years. This time one meal was wrong and they all were different to what they used to deliver. I'm guessing they have changed ownership and not as good as it used to be. Probably won't order again.

The food is now an hour late. I've ordered from here before without any issues like this.

Always great. Big portions. Consistent. Never have to wait too long. Perfect takeaway.

The food is so expensive for the amount you get, you can go down the road and get double the food for half the price. Also chips were cold and tasted cheap

The donner meat had very little taste. The French garlic bread was over cooked burnt in places. The chips were stodgy as if they had been cooked for quite a while and been kept warm. Way too many onions in the wrap and kebab. Would think twice about ordering again

Read lots of great reviews however I can’t exactly say I had a similar experience. The chicken strips were like rubber, I actually left them in the end they were so tough and chewy. Pizza was ok but the kebab and chips were just bland with no seasoning at all, I’d avoid and try somewhere else.

The Burguer is amazing, fresh salad, good meat, hard to find similar by the time and price, my second time having the half pounder, and will definitely be back, (just the fried chicken was too oily and not crispy)

Always delicious, fresh food, delivered quickly and by really friendly drivers.

Food turned up cold. Chips cold and soggy. Burger, well, asked for 2 x half pounders, with cheese, one with salad one without. Salad, joke, no green fresh lettuce, no cucumber, red lettuce and a bit of onion. One without salad, burgers burnt/crispy all round the side. Cheese in both, just about. Will never order from here again.

Don't bother with this place, cold food nasty tasting kebad. Worst take away in bicester

Hot shot and spicy italian are the best pizzas!!

The food was hot and tasty. The potato was fluffy but the cheese was melted together and didn't mix in with the potatoes (maybe mozzarella?) The chicken pieces were nice but a bit smaller than I've had elsewhere. Overall I would order again :)

Wow what a horrendous food place

I got a mixed kebab and I must say it's very dry like its like iv put sand in my mouth it also smells funky and not even My dog will eat so will never be going there again

Ordered a donar kebab . Instead of carving from the skewer, served instead from tray which must have been there for a while. Absolutely out of order doing that. Will never go there again. Market Square kebab shop 100% better.

ALL Chips was very hard, and it was cold and had missing idea chicken Strips

Went with 4 four friends. 2 of which really enjoyed the food the rest of us didn't. My mixed kebab was dry and chewy, and the donner meat looked anaemic. The garlic sauce was very bland. Personally, I won't be going back.

Absolutely loved the kebabs!! The fried chicken was out of the world!!!!! And the quantity was great, accompanied by salads and the people there were super nice! Absolutely authentic Turkish food!!!!

Broken Fork just don’t get it wrong. Reliably fresh and hot. Main food is nice but the freshness of the salad really makes BF stand out from other kebab places.

Food arrived not as i ordered , i ordered food with salad and NO salad was added , very bland

Chips we’re rubbery and cod was over cooked,dry and what you would by from a packet.

The southern fried chicken was inedible, the chips weren’t much better. Chicken nuggets and burger were just about ok, but not impressed, such a shame as never had bad food from here before.

It said large but it was not really large. Just enough for 1 person. But it was very tasty. Well made kebab. Strongly recommend

The food from here is normally great, and the chicken burgers and kebab were good, but the chips tonight were absolutely terrible. Somehow they seemed both under cooked and baked dry at the same time

Absolutely disgusting both the fish and the kabab. I dont know, dodgy meat, old oil? So soggy, wet and the taste just horrible. Went straight to the bin and asked for refund.

Chicken was old, rubbery and dry, certainly not fresh. Fresh chicken has flavour, and succulent juices. The chips again were dry and rubbery.

Excellent as always. The delivery was a bit slow over an hour but a different face showed up so assuming just started and we never judge the book by its cover :)

Really great food and great service. I ordered the wrong food for my wife so reordered leaving a note to see if they could do it quickly. Just under 15 minutes later the food was here. Thank you! Would highly recommend.

They don’t read the notes you leave, I asked for just lettuce and I received all the salad, the chips were cold and chewy, the bread was stale and tough
