Wow, what a pleasure it is to write this review. My girlfriend and I had lunch in Jenny's on Saturday, our second visit there in a few months. Both times the food was perfectly cooked and presented, the staff were friendly and ultra efficient. Will definitely return next time we are in Banbury. Well done to everyone there!!!

Nice tasty food hot and not much a wait

I have been coming here for a good number of years always greeted with a very friendly cheerful staff I have a mobility scooter and the staff make sure that I'm well accommodated the food is excellent always hot no waiting time when they are busy their always smiling and cheerful

Fast friendly service is the norm here plus food is great. Came here a few months ago for the first time with our friends who come regularly. Just an ordinary cafe you see from the outside but the food is well above others in the area. We will be back thank you once again.

Chips were over cooked. Kids didn’t like the sausage bland as all hell. Overpriced for bad quality. No check back as well. Not many vegan options available either. Told the member of staff about our experience to be met with a blank look. Won’t be coming back

Chips doesnt count as a vegan option, food was over cooked and well over priced. The tomato ketchup bottles were clearly refilled as the bottles were disgusting but still full. Staff were rude as they come. After complaining they just stare at you. Do not eat here.

Staying at a B&B nearby that couldn't do breakfast and chose this place for it's solid reviews. Quite busy but very efficient and we didn't have to wait long at all for the food to arrive. Reasonable quality food, it was just what we need, a solid standby.

Food was excellent.... I went In this morning for the first time as it was recommended by a few friends... But I was highly disappointed to know what I ordered was ridiculously priced 😞 I ordered a standard "bacon, sausage and egg sandwich" and then realised I was charged *£6.50 * Absolutely extortionate, not happy!!!!! Least to say I won't be back.... Shame really as the food was fantastic

Visited Jenny’s for a much needed breakfast and was generally underwhelmed by it. The restaurant/café is pleasant and clean (always a bonus!). The staff pleasant and attentive, but the quality and price/value for money is very poor. I chose a veggie breakfast and then paid extra for a couple of slices of toast and a can of diet coke. This came to an eye watering £9.45, which I though was very excessive, especially when you look at the size of the meal: 2 x veg sausages (which were a bit ropey), a few mushrooms (which were very nice), 2 slices of tomato, a single hash brown, an anaemic egg and a spoonful of generic baked beans. I was still hungry afterwards and so called at a certain bakery chain and had a sausage roll too! Nice environment, nice staff, OKish food, appalling value for money.

We'd been to their franchise in Lincoln recently, so tried this one today. The food offerings were mainly the same and whilst the service was efficient, it wasn't friendly .. perhaps long hours ? Anyhow, reasonably priced food for what is on offer.

Wow... that's all I can say. I am truly blown away by the food served in Jenny's restaurant, it is absolutely delightful! I have waited 3 years to travel up to Banbury with my two companions, and after scouring the local area, we decided to dine in at Jenny's Restaurant. The servers were polite and helpful from start to finish, it is not often you find such brilliant staff! The atmosphere was incredible - the kind of place you'd take your family for a cozy rendezvous after being apart. The food came out quickly, but not suspiciously quickly that you'd question its freshness. With such a small scale cafe, you'd think the food was drenched in grease, but no, every bite was absolutely smashing. But I must say, the highlight of my meal was the banana longboat dessert. You too can feel like a viking warlord sinking an enemy ship as you devour the boat. How incredible! I will be telling all of my friends up north to visit the land of the southerners purely for the delights of Jenny's Restaurant.

Unfortunately I do not recommend!! 5-6 years ago I used to be there very often and I was very happy, but now it’s very dirty and waiter service is bad, they always make a mistake in ordering… I am very disappointed because I used to like to eat there. I do not recommend…

This place actually makes me appreciate that we have moved on with quality standards. As a time travel experience it was fun to go back to a time before I was born............see how people ate, smelt the smells......taste the taste's Not great............

Staff are always rushed off their feet but always go above and beyond for customers. Always the best place to go for a cheeky hot chocolate whilst in town.

Brilliant service as usual use it regularly and the remember drinks order even after lock down we went in and he remembered what we drink.

Nice place to eat with good food and friendly staff

Perfect, from the warm welcome, to the prompt service, to the really well presented piping hot food, which was a Full English Breakfast and a Vegetarian option, with toast. We also had two tea's which were served really hot and in clean cups (and you'd be surprised how often this is not the case in some establishments). The restaurant was clean, bright and spacious. Would highly recommend to others and my wife and I will return again in the future. The price is very competitive too.

Came here for a full English today wasn't very good it was very salty and tasted weird.

The whole experience was pleasant overall. The staff were friendly and took my order fairly quickly. Ordered a all day breakfast with extra chips and a drink. Didn't have to wait too long. The meal itself was ok. So items tasted nice and other were low quality (Sausage and baked beans) but the rest was quite nice. Plus a decent portion of chips. . But what really took the best bit was the price. Breakfast + drink and extra chips / toast. £8. Under a tenner. What a great find. Also on next visit will use the menu properly as missed the burger / panni page entirely. Overall a nice place to eat.

Great food, great service - every time!

Was in Banbury for the weekend with family and friends. We were staying in a local hotel and wanted to eat breakfast out. We went to Jennys. They were superb! There was 9 of us and all asked to exchange various items for breakfast which they happily did for us. The food came out hot and well presented. We were so pleased we returned the following day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

my name victor shane, my partners name is janet misselbrook we visit jennies twice a week, its clean friendly staff, good value, good prices,food is cooked fresh, you can set in,or outside,

I have been a loyal customer for as long as I can remember and trust me i will not return. Firstly, the minute i got my food had a black hair in my childs scrambled egg, so it wasnt eaten at all. then when receiving the bill it felt a little to pricey for 3 adults that had a meal and just a can of coke, so when I tried to find out if they had miss calculated things, the response I got was rude and very unprofessional and definitely abrupt he seemed very offended when in reality if I spend my money in a cafe I should be able to question when paying my bill. When in all honesty theres been a few occasions this place has picked prices of food and drinks out the air and changes it all the time. I was charged £1.60 for ONE slice of bread and butter. When on the menu it states TWO slices of toast for £1. When getting a chocolate milk shake for my little boy, who is 2! It was filled right to the brim which meant it was tipped all over the place straight away! No one came to see if food was okay. Also when staff are in the kitchen, you can constantly feel staff staring at you which isnt very pleasant when your trying to eat and have your own conversation. I'm very shocked at how I was spoken to today when questioning the receipt. Considering this pandemic and families are struggling, i asked because this was the first time i could afford going for food since lockdown and to be honest completely ruined the rest of our day. Food was pretty standard aswell, very basic. Wont be visiting again but good luck in future.

We were out shopping and wanted to eat and nothing pretentious so just walked in here. Met with a smile and told to sit anywhere, it was busy but plenty of space between tables due to the present ebola outbreak!! Girl promptly arrived with a smile and food ordered. We were particularily impressed with how clean everything was. Table washed and not sticky, the tell tale salt and pepper pots and ketchup were all very clean without fingermarks etc. Full English was great value and not swimming in oil. My mocha was lovely as was the coffee the swmbo had. So to sum up Friendly, prompt, clean and good value and great to see cash only instead of the usual cards only. Will return.

I don't usually write reviews but the service quality was so shocking I just feel that I have to. I have never taken notice of this restaurant café before but I went in after a business partner of mine suggested we go there to review some business plans. First off, my order wasn't exactly right so it was already off to a bad start. And then they had drills going and didn't seem to care or offer to move us outside, which we ended up doing ourselves because it got so unbearably loud, but it would have been nice if they had acknowledged it. I appriciate that its probably not a common occurrence however, they didn't seem apologetic at all and it was quite clear that we were there for an important reason rather than a catch up, which just shows how much they actually care about delivering good customer service. I wasn't overly thrilled by the cleanliness of the place either. All in all, I was very unimpressed and will not being visiting again, awful experience.

Always a cheerful greeting when you enter plus staff are very attentive. Wide range of items on their menu and food is always cooked to order. Good food pleasant surroundings and helpful staff, what more can you ask for.

After ordering 2 teas, 3 milkshakes and coming to pay we were told they are not doing it on drinks. Thinking maybe there was a rule for this we paid and went away. Checking online and found nothing that indicates this rule, your either signed up to the scheme or not thus they should be allowing it on everything exc booze or takeaway. Went back to them to give them the chance to resolve it, i told him they can claim it but the guy just shrugged his shoulders at us. Will not visit this place again!

They really know their stuff at Jenny's. A very extensive menu serves breakfasts, chicken, burgers, pies etc. at very reasonable prices. The staff are attentive and friendly. Good coffee too. Highly recommended.

We stopped off here as a half way point. Breakfast was good, just portions small, its not illegal to put more chips on the plate, average price for a standard breakfast with tea/coffee was about £7.50 2020 prices.
