I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered vegetarian food on March 7, 2025, but I was served chicken instead of cauliflower. When I called to raise my concern, I spoke with a staff member named Omar or Umar. He did not apologize and kept insisting it was a "human error." While I understand that mistakes can happen, it is important for restaurants to take customer concerns seriously, especially regarding food preferences, dietary restrictions, and religious beliefs. I explained my situation, but he seemed dismissive of my concerns. This experience has made me question whether this restaurant can be trusted. I urge others to be cautious when placing an order there, as they may not always receive what you ordered.

Bakery claimed to be run by artisans. The price is the same as China town in London. The egg tarts are cold and lack flavour. The buns were dry and tasted old, not fresh. Maybe at 4pm, when bought they were old. Compared to the same product from London. They are definitely not good enough for the price. Obviously expensive compared to Hong Kong but the same price and not as good as available in China town where product is fresher. Not hard in texture as the buns are. Review does not allow upload of dry crumbly photo of bun.

This is a nice Costa with free parking, but there are a few issues which may affect some people. Firstly the parking can get very busy. Secondly this Costa seems to be in a Vodafone reception blackspot - probably other networks are OK as I've seen people using their phones, but for Vodafone you can't even get the Costa app open on your phone. It's also one of many Costas with very limited vegan options - just the Fruity Flapjack, and plant milks for drinks.

We went to the purley way restaurant for our sons birthday (6 of us) once we got seated we had to wait over 30 minutes before i had to ask someone if we could place our food and drinks order. eventually our waitress came by and took our order, then after another 30 minutes or more i had to ask if we was going to get our drinks any time soon , once again it seemed like forever for our drinks to finally turn up (flat) by this time we’d already been in the restaurant over an hour and each time we had any service i had to get up and seek it out myself. it seemed to me that every time I got someone’s attention they just deferred it on to someone else and then forgot about it i know it was a Saturday evening and would expect it to be a busy time to visit but when we arrived the restaurant was less than half full. The food was ok the portions were small i had a burger and chips and there was barely a handful of chips on the plate and the burger was a tiny misshaped piece of meat ( it did taste ok though i will say that ) To summarise our visit we felt that the restaurant was poorly organised , poorly managed, the food portions were small and a bit over priced but the food did taste nice All in all we wont be rushing back any time soon In retrospect we probably should have gone to the harvester where we know we have always had a great dining experience

Went in and ordered 4 burgers meals and when I got home, one of the burger had No bread roll. The burgers and chips were also cold and disgusting. Don’t bother wasting your money here.

We ate here on Sunday 23rd March, we have used and recommended it to friends over the past 20 years. We arrived just after 4pm and having been advised that bookings were only taken for after 6pm, we turned up expecting a wait. We were seated straight away and our orders for both food and drinks taken promptly. Our meals arrived within 15 minutes of our arrival. The menu offers a fair choice but since Covid it has been significantly reduced in items and I felt the food quality on our more recent visits, was not as good as it once was. The food is more costly than at our local Chinese Restaurant but that possibly reflects the higher London costs. The most obvious and I feel negative element to our meal experience was the staff. Although they were polite they were very direct and brisk in their manner, you certainly would not come here for the friendly greeting or helpful comments relating to your meal selection. That said, I would eat here again if in the area.

went to the restaurant on the top floor tried ordering food I wanted to know if I needed to order rice as well as the dish sadly man who was serving me could not understand what I was saying because he did not speak English and the man behind the desk also had bad English so I left and to eat down stairs

Never had such a bad experience at McDonald's. I ordered on the screens and had to wait at least 15 minutes. I got my order and everything was cold except the coke because it had no ice in it. The burger looked like it was from yesterday and the fries had no taste. The staff was friendly, but I come here to eat and the friendliness is secondary. I threw 3/4 in the trash.

Appalling experience, took my son for his birthday, left waiting at the entrance for 10 mins whilst staff just ignored us, eventually got seated given menus after 20 mins and watching other people get up and leave , after asking several times for drinks , we eventually got them after 30 mins of waiting - our food then arrived, the mains arrived at the same time as the mains, staff were like slugs apart from one who was darting around trying to appease the increasing moaning of customers - tables left uncleaned - it looks in dire need of an upgrade, the service was crap, the food was edible . Just . Please people don’t bother !
