We went to the purley way restaurant for our sons birthday (6 of us) once we got seated we had to wait over 30 minutes before i had to ask someone if we could place our food and drinks order. eventually our waitress came by and took our order, then after another 30 minutes or more i had to ask if we was going to get our drinks any time soon , once again it seemed like forever for our drinks to finally turn up (flat) by this time we’d already been in the restaurant over an hour and each time we had any service i had to get up and seek it out myself. it seemed to me that every time I got someone’s attention they just deferred it on to someone else and then forgot about it i know it was a Saturday evening and would expect it to be a busy time to visit but when we arrived the restaurant was less than half full. The food was ok the portions were small i had a burger and chips and there was barely a handful of chips on the plate and the burger was a tiny misshaped piece of meat ( it did taste ok though i will say that ) To summarise our visit we felt that the restaurant was poorly organised , poorly managed, the food portions were small and a bit over priced but the food did taste nice All in all we wont be rushing back any time soon In retrospect we probably should have gone to the harvester where we know we have always had a great dining experience

If you're looking for somewhere you can feel like you're in a movie, good news: tonight I found it. Bad news, that movie is The Sixth Sense and you're Bruce Willis; sitting at a table for over an hour without being acknowledged. You might eventually convince someone to take your order but nothing will come to the table so make sure you bring your own snacks if you're planning to be there for a while. Alternatively there's pizza hut or nandos across the road if you get hungry.

Food was slow and one guest didn’t receive there order at all, when raised with staff they said they would ask the kitchen waited another 35 mins before it arrived everyone else had finished. Daughter’s hotdog roll was so hard I could have used it as a bat, given refund no apology totally ruined our birthday celebration.

No one met us at the door, no one served us for ages, and the food was cold. I would not recommend coming to this TGIs. As a place I use to frequent when I was younger it's almost sad to see how bad it is now. We were waiting by the door for numerous minutes, seen by the glances of employees and yet not greeted for ages. When we finally got to the table we had no service for ages, not until we actively prompted one of the employees were we met with Any service. Our server was a nice man, I'm not sure the employees are to blame, but it feels as though they have little to no training. Once we finally got our food, I had little to no chips, and my brother's burger was cold and hard. We tried to switch it out but as he had take a couple of bites we would have to pay again, In Full, for a replacement. Our drinks were forgotten until prompted yet again. Although the food was nice, for the high high prices of £20 per person, this is borderline unacceptable. This TGIs as it stands, is a place to never visit.

We went out for a birthday meal. When we arrived we had to wait outside for around 10 minutes before someone greeted us at the door. When we finally entered it was completely empty with hardly any staff in sight. We waited 30 minutes before we was served. We then waited 40 minutes for our second round of cocktails. We called one waiter after order was placed but they had forgotten about our drinks. Then we called 3 other staff members because it still took a while to arrive. Some of the staff seemed ok but majority of them looked tired, unbovered and basically not happy to be there. My one star is for the wings which we thoroughly enjoyed, otherwise if I could I would leave no stars.

Went for lunch today was so dead was 1 waitress on shift making drinking serving and taking orders. Waited 45 mins for our food 20 of them mins we could see them sat on the hot plate in the kitchen which we asked twice were they ours. When came out all the food was horrible and cold. We 1st wanted a salad but was told they had no salad so no burgers or anything was just plain. The bit of dry coleslaw on my plate had been under hot plate so long was brown and dead. Kids had been waiting so long at this point for there food to end up with cold dry horrible lunch. Will not be returning was only 1 other table in there service was awful .

We have previously been to TGI Fridays and the service had been very slow. We expected that again this time, but we fancied it so we settled. We arrived and waited 10-15 minutes to even be acknowledged at the front, even though we had booked a table. We were finally seated, it wasn’t just at all and only 3-4 tables seated - already had there food on the tables. The staff didn’t acknowledge us at all and continued to clean tables around us, rather than coming to take our order. To which we counted 25 minutes ( may have been longer) with no acknowledgment, not even asked for our drinks. So we left and went elsewhere, and was served in seconds, in and out within 40 minutes.

Recieved a very poor service twice already. I came with ky family for both visit. The last visit thr worse. Came in for the unlimited sesame chicken We decided to dine in as a family and we ordered 2 sets of the bottomless sesame chicken. However, for the 3 hours of waiting, we only received 1 set each. After 30 minutes of waiting and not receiving it, we attempted to follow-up the order, in which we were told that service would ‘pick up.’ Yet, the order still took a long time to arrive, about an hour. We were then informed that our order had been given to another table mistakenly. We then later received our order after another 30mins. Rogth there amd then we asked for another 2 sets of the sesame chicken but that ended up taking another hour. With various follow-up, we were met with frustration from our waiters. Throughout, 3 other tables have been encouraged to not order the bottomless or the not order entirely, causing them to leave before ordering. We then spoke to the manager, Demi, who did not consider the problem and instead encouraged us to just take a discount, pay, and leave. She then was worried. more about complaints being put against her over the actual problem itself, showing her unprofessionalism. Other tables were also frustrated with their excessive wait times. If this bottomless deal is too difficult to cope with for one table, then it should not be a deal at all. If the Fridays at Croydon is struggling with staffing and training, then it must be a priority that should be sorted out.

My family and I had a wonderful dining experience at TGI Fridays today. The food was delicious and met all our expectations. We were especially impressed with our waitress, Olivia. Though she is new to her job, she handled everything so nicely and made us feel very welcome. Her friendliness and attentiveness greatly enhanced our visit. We wish her all the best in her career. Went in for dinner with my girlfriend, got taken to a small table with 2 seats. The restaurant was 3/4 empty, so we asked for a bigger table, as it would be more comfortable for us, and everyone gets personel space. They said no, all the bigger tables were reserved! It was 7.30pm on a Thursay evening, the restaurant 3/4 empty. Customer service is a joke! will not use again, will not recommend to anyone

Haven’t been for years. The front of house is run by children with no manors. The waitress showed us to our table without even a hello. Waiter was ok but forgot everything all the time. Food way overpriced and atmosphere dead. So sad, used to like TGI. Even sadder if it’s just the Croydon one that’s like this.

Just about heard a hello from the waitress then got taken to are seats, had are order placed and was served in a reasonable time, did not get asked once during the meal if i would like a refill on are drinks or if everything was okay ( staff non existent when food came and a point i would like to add that it was only my table for two and a table of four that were being used!) when table of four paid and left the staff member was more interested in cleaning the empty table than check we were okay and finished when we were already finished are dinner, when she came towards eventually i asked for the bill finally got a response of “no worries”. 60 seconds later she came with the bill and card machine, didnt get once of “how was your meal and how was the experience” (which we know was poor!). when card action was complete she just gave me the receipt put it on the table and just walked off without even saying “thank you for coming/enjoying your meal hope to see you again soon” she just walked off with the biggest strop on. I have taken photo and video of evidence that shows no staff around and customers! I will not be returning unless you can show proof that you can get your staff in line with good customer service.

Ordered appetiser and main to arrive at same time, hot wings and the Cajun chicken burger with red hot bites on top. The wings were barely warmed through and the bites on the top of the burger were cold, whilst the burger and chips were warm. Sent the wings back… 15 mins later I’m still waiting so I’ve asked they place them in a take away box along with my desert. An appetiser should be as such before the main, no doubt these will end up in the bin. The girl serving is great but it does seem like organised chaos unfortunately. I wouldn’t mind but I’m dining alone, god help the table of 14+ people behind me… the restaurant isn’t even at 1/3 capacity either!

They barely put Jack Daniel sauce on my ribs and charged £1 for an extra pot. It was kind of bland, didn’t even finish It as I usually would. I’ve been to a few TGI’s and this is by far the worst for cocktails. It’s either watered down or too strong. If you’re into strawberry daiquiri, it’s going to taste a lot blander than the other branches. Never coming back to this branch

My meal literally smelt like someone had a poo on it , I’m guessing it was from spoilt potato, I was offered a full refund for my meal or a remake I couldn’t bear to eat anything else there and now I’m worried that I would have food poisoning. Service was very poor, and often times no staff could be seen in the restaurant. Food often got missed, we ordered garlic bread with our appetizers that never came or never got noticed. In my experience that place should be shut down, I have eaten in other TGI Fridays locations and have never had an experience like this. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THERE TO ANYONE

The only thing we liked was the decor, the rest was really a joke and a disaster, to put it mildly. We ordered a table for 15 and the food arrived at 4:30 p.m. after an hour and a half. The children received wrong orders and they started eating them, and when we said it was the wrong order, she took the bitten fries for someone else and replaced the children's dish. The food was edible nothing more but we were afraid to eat after they gave someone our eaten fries, we waited for a piece of chicken for an hour and a half. Nobody even came to serve us. At the end, after eating, the shakes were supposed to come and we waited for them for another very long time. I already pointed out to the staff twice, unfortunately the service there is a disaster, the cost of cole slaw was £6 and it was in a box just like the sauce, literally the amount was smaller than single-use ketchup!! I do not recommend this place. I would also like to add that we waited for the bill for 40 minutes and twice they wanted to charge us more than they should have. Only after a long time was the bill updated correctly, when the waiter went to update the bill instead of coming back directly to us, he went to do other things and we waited another 15 minutes and it looked like this all the time, we told them that if someone didn't come soon, we would leave without the bill. Only someone came with the bill

Recently dined at TGI Friday and unfortunately, Our experience was less than satisfactory. While the food was okay, the service was incredibly slow. It took a whopping 20 minutes just for someone to come and take our order, and another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Throughout the meal, no one checked in on us to see if we needed anything, and I had to ask the waiter three times for the bill. Even then, it wasn't until I stood up and started walking towards the exit that the waiter rushed over to process the payment. It's evident that the issue lies in the shortage of staff, as this experience repeated itself during my subsequent visit. While I understand that challenges can arise, waiting over two hours for a small meal is unacceptable. Regrettably, I will have to think twice before considering another visit.

Took my with my nephews and niece here for lunch. We had the burgers and a hot dog from the kids meal. The food was not nice AT ALL. For almost an almost £20 burger I expect it to come hot, fresh and taste good. Our burgers were non of this. My niece was so hungry but she barley ate her food. That’s how bad it was. For the money we paid, the food was disappointing. I DONT recommend this place. I have visited a few times and I have been disappointed everytime!!!! This is why I am finally leaving a review. Please improve the food quality. The waiters were lovely though.

Waited 45 minutes for someone to serve us before getting up and leaving as a no one came to take our order. We were asked to sit at the bar on arrival, and waited for 10 minutes whilst the bar tender ignored us, actively refusing to make eye contact and to come towards us. We were finally seated, and since no one came to take our order tried to order drinks at the bar, only to be told that the bar tender would not serve us, and we must order through our non-existent server. We went to celebrate our mum’s birthday, and tried to wait the horrid experience out, but after 45 minutes decided to go next door to Imperial Lounge where the service was much quicker and more pleasant.

Went there for a quick bite and something to drink, took 20 minutes to clear a table we were told 5 minutes, no one served us. I had to go to the back to get service, and then the orders were either wrong or forgotten about. Took so long to get out of the place we missed our nieces birthday party because we couldnt get out to pay the bill. Honestly wouldn’t recommend. The wings are something out of an experiment and basically Iceland on a strip. Might as well save up those coins put money on the meter and put the same food from Iceland in the oven.

Some food was missing from the order, which i nearly paid until i noticed the bill. **Went for bottomless wings, which we booked a while back and was looking forward to it, then was told they aren't doing that deal for time being** Overall, it's ok for a 1 off but too over priced, might as well go to a wetherspoons :)

The staff were painfully slow. It took almost 1hr to get 4 drinks to our table and then another 30mins on top that for our meals to arrive, with no apology...!! Not to be outdone by the nasty rats running up and outside our window, past all the copies amounts of rat traps. Not for me!

Booked a table for 6pm arrived at 5 past there was 5 people waiting not booked a table we waited for around 15 minutes when I decided to call the phone to attract staff attention and the phone was turned down 5 minutes later someone came and seated the people in front of us who hadn’t booked we waited another 5 minutes even though there were many empty tables I Queried a large free table she said it’s for someone who had booked however there was no one seated there the whole time we were there we had to share a booth and a small 2 table for my daughters birthday we waited 10 minutes to order and 1 hour to receive food all at different times the first person served had almost finished by the time the birthday girl had got her food. My son asked for sauce when he started eating then got offered it once he was finished at £1.25 per pot. Once I got my drink flat funny tasting lemonade I said I’d like to change to j2o she offered to leave the lemonade then charged me for it. The rack of ribs is very small and they call it ultimate and charge an extra £6 everyone left unsatisfied with the portion sizes the fries were kids size when I complained I was told I didn’t cook it. This is abysmal when I asked for the manager I was told she is busy but has taken the extra drink off the bill rightly so no one had a refill but paid £3.95 for flat funny tasting soda water x4

Horrible experience, if I could give 0 stars I would. Had to keep asking staff for our next course, which was clear when it was brought to us that it had been ready, just not brought to us.waited over 45 minutes between each meal. When it finally arrived was so cold. My childs kids burger was rock hard.Then my daughter asked for water, it never came. Eventually we were ready to leave, and had to ask for the bill 3 times before it finally arrived. No manager around, seems to be a bunch of kids who just don't really care really. Very disappointed, money definitely not well spent as food is overpriced for its poor quality

Great experience, food was good and our waiter Rio was great. He was kind, attentive and helpful. We were a very large party and he handled the table very well. The other waiters were great also especially in singing the TGI birthday song for my daughter.

Honestly - I couldn’t think of a single good thing about this place. Service was so slow, it was cramped, and it’s too expensive for what it was (£10 for a little hotdog…). Took nearly half an hour to get food - was tempted to cancel and ask for a refund. Server seemed to mess up other orders, too - one guy had to return a burger due to cheese he asked to be removed (it wasn’t) and a lady was charged twice. Look for somewhere else - really isn’t worth it.

Delivery was a little slow for a Sunday afternoon but the doners were tasty and the portions good (especially the chips). HOWEVER, if you order for delivery, this company will spam you with text messages for life, using a different number each time. You have been warned!

Food is cold. Me and my friend waited almost 30 minutes to get our order, almost every order before us had something wrong with it and it was wrong, absolutely chaotic.
