The best restaurants serving Default food in Stevenage East of England

Ordered a delivery which came quickly and hot. Unfortunately, the sticky rice we ordered for £4.50 wasn't even enough to feed one person let alone three. From other places we only ever need to order one rice portion and we have plenty left over. Not so here. We are now having to cook our own rice so we can start our dinner.

Absolute joke. When order placed was told 1hr 20 been waiting 1hr 30 call up to chase order to be told it’s going to be another 1 hour. I explained I have got to leave for work they did not care said not their problem, they said they will deliver it regardless even if no one’s there. Really annoyed. Will not order from there again along with family and friends complete joke. This is not the first time we have had issues relating to delivery times where we have had to collect before. If you want food from there give them at least 12 hours notice. No offer to resolve blinking robbing fools.

We come to Stevenage a few times a year for an event and always eat here or get a takeaway. Can't recommend highly enough tasty food and good portions Jerk Chicken has the right heat and the boneless curry goat is really tender. We don't eat before we get to Stevenage now just save ourselves up! Had a takeaway delivered to our hotel today and it was awesome 👌

The guy said to me tonight we nearly shut but still had my order. Everytime me and my partner order here we are not dissapointed! Quality high quantity good service and taste off the charts! I am not from stevenage and this is the best place for chicken wraps in my opinion.

Ok, i was being lazy and thought i'd skip cooking and head to Fishermans Wharf Chippy and have a hostage in batter and chips. Errrr no.. sorry i mean "sausage in batter" ! (Kier Starmer would understand. easy mistake to make). The time was around 5:30pm and relevant. Firstly, the young fair haired lad serving was friendly, polite and keen to take my order. The sausage in batter was really nice, mainly due to the batter. It was crisp and tasty and not chewy and greasy tatsting as they often can be in any chippy, we all know and accept that about them. This really was a nice surprise, 4 Stars for the sausage ! The chips though.. They were withered, dry, chewy, overdone and tasted old, I am not saying they were but they tasted AS IF they were left over from lunch time and then re-fried for early evening customers. That was my impression and my first thought. The owner states otherwise and blamed it on seasonal potatoe availability and that he doesn't open lunchtime mon-fri so how... My thoughts on this given i was there 5.30pm that perhaps they were left over from the night before heaven fobid !! Just my opinion, just rubbish.

Have to say, this is the best looking and by far the best fish and chips I have eaten in a long time. It so nice to find a good fish and chip shop in stevenage so would highly recommend people to visit this place. It looks lovely inside the shop too. Clean and fresh and love d the sharks displayed on the wall.

This morning I bought a hazelnut latte from lovely polite baristas on platform 1 and 2. Will definitely be coming back again!

This is by far the best Greek in leicester, gyros are banging,customer service is on point and it’s in a perfect area right in the middle of town 10/10 🔥😮‍💨

I come here quite often with my friends and our kids. It’s nice they can go play and have a bite to eat. Recently added a little tv area with cushions and books which is a lovely touch. Prices are reasonable and homemade carrot cake is a must!

Brown Rice, far to many veggies in the food, not tasty, I had a Mushroom Foo Yong that was 50% full of bamboo shoots, House Special Rice was bland.

Cannot fault this place. Excellent choice on the menu, superb customer service, polite and helpful staff. Spacious restaurant so you feel relaxed throughout. Popcorn Halloumi is a wonderful idea and although they ran out of sirloin steak, offered the ribeye at the same price which was top notch. I was driving, so enjoyed a mocktail which was in a pimped up glass! Blown away by the quality and will definitely look to return. Wasn't a huge fan of the service charge initially, but upon reflection, a fair tip for the effort these guys put in!

Quick service, good food, but restaurant seemed quite plane and simple.

Went here after playing a local golf course for something to eat and cannot fault the food or the service me and my son both enjoyed our visit.

Mothers day completely ruined , 7 meals were ordered only 5 arrived ,after asking the staff where the remaining dinners were we were told the ticket for 2 meals was still in the till and the 3rd was ordered as a side dish ,that was a mistake by staff . After complaining about service the cook was rude as was her daughter who serves in the bar ,finally I was told that I would get the2 meals for free as it was their error but the cook wasn't happy about that and phoned the manager who said yes as it was the pubs mistake so we finally received our food 1 hour 45 minutes after everyone else which was slammed down on the table along with the cutlery

This was a very enjoyable find. Went there for the first time last week with my daughter and husband. The coffee was excellent and well priced. The food was very good and tasty. Service quick and it was busy. Obviously popular with locals, always a good sign. Going back again soon.
