The best restaurants serving Default food in South Cambridgeshire East of England

There was literally 30 people in the queue! Management obviously needs to pull a finger out and get more staff if needed. I walked out

One word *incredible* must try . Fresh cook front of you just like subway you choose each and everything for your food and its ready in minutes..

Had 2 roast dinners me & friend ,turkey & beef ,veg cooked well roast spuds very small but tasty ,portion was quite small, we thought portion for adult should ne bigger ,turkey nice but was pre sliced we thought .

I just just got a coffee from your cafe. I asked for a fruit scone and your staff member was unsure if you had any she then proceeded to feel all the scones with her bare hand before telling me there was one. Of course I declined to take one, not withstanding there is global pandemic it is completely unhygienic to handle food in that manner. Disgusting!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. The food is fresh tasty and delicious. And lovely and hot when delivered. The portion sizes are great and delivery is usually within 45 minutes. The staff are polite and friendly and very accommodating about adjustments to orders from the menu.

Ridiculous restaurant. You ring their telephone number with an answerphone saying we cannot accept your call!!! How about that for service!!!!! Never again

Very poor service. Never ever at this branch. The guy served as if he does not want to sell the food. I bought 2 sandwiches on Saturday morning (one was a chicken and another was a tuna). I asked him which one was Tuna. His answer was "I don't know, You have to eat it and check". Kudos to owner for keeping such a great staff for service. Pathetic!!

Tried the beef burger for the first time — it was absolutely delicious! Great portion size and definitely worth the price. Great service too! Will definitely be going back!

It was 8pm and my wife had sent me off to Tesco with a list of stuff I had no idea about where to look (apart from the blueberries). So, I disturbed a member of staff with a colleague who were on a computer. I asked where I could find one item. He stopped what he was doing and took me to where it should be. Empty shelf. He checked his hand held device and dutifully went to the storeroom. Unfortunately, they were out of stock despite the hand held saying they had some. I trundled off searching for the last item. Failed. Nabbed him again - straight to it. Top service. In fact, as I wandered off to pay, he saw me and asked if I needed any more assistance. First class - his name was Jordan. I hope his manager sees this and thanks him again for me.

Not brilliant food and service is poor. Food missing and promised it would be re delivered. Waited an hour and still a no show. Just full of bull for excuses. Helpful though as made me realise it worth driving 6 miles the other way and getting good food and service.

Family collected a vegetarian regular burrito and sweet potato fries whilst they got themselves a KFC. Being vegetarian El Mexicana has always been my favourite fast food option …. However, after their new shake up I will never use them again. According to my daughter who ordered food, there were so many limited options - no refined beans, no onions and peppers, no lettuce, only one sauce so couldn’t have sour cream and salsa which is the norm. Apparently burrito had veg chilli in it, but after inspecting it all I found was a few kidney beans. Ended up with a very small tortilla wrap with rice and black beans mixed with sour cream. No flavour, wet, no substance and a fraction of the size of normal. Size wasn’t a problem as it ended up in the bin! Sweet potatoes were burnt and portion measly. El Mexicana used to be the best Mexican and vegetarian fast food around, but unless they revert back to how they were I won’t go back. Disgusting food. Terrible options. Poor service. Poor portion control. Needs a major shake up!

Went in on a busy Saturday and the place was packed. Very friendly staff , was served quickly , tables were emptied and cleaned promptly. Most importantly was served an excellent well cooked hot tasty Big Breakfast. Chef obviously cared and the team worked with precision and at pace thanks to a talented manager who obviously knew how to manage and deliver a good service to customers. Definitely go upstairs in Tesco's and try this place

We called on spec after seeing a sign nearby on the main road. We were not disappointed. The reception by the licensee and his wife was warm, friendly and welcoming. Choice of tables in the bar or restaurant both very nice. For lunch time there was a good choice on the menu. I had scampi and chips. My wife had fish pie. Both were freshly home made, served piping hot and were delicious. Lots of both too. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The service was very attentive and really friendly. Real ale on the pump. I can recommend this gem of a pub. The only ‘negative’ comment was my plate had so much on it I could finish which irked me. Best onion rings I have ever had. Try it, don’t think you would be disappointed.

Lovely night, loads to do. TV in the room and a pool table downstairs. Good service, good food and lovely atmosphere.
