Food was OK. Nice staff and you can rest before or after shopping

As someone who travels a lot and often eats in various supermarket cafes this has to be the worst experience I’ve had. I ordered breakfast for 1. It took an hour to arrive (see pics for time on receipt and shot of watch when food arrived). I had no warning that it was going to take so long to prepare one meal. Had I been advised of an hours delay I would not have ordered. When the food did arrive the eggs were overcooked. The bacon was so hard that I literally could not cut through it with the cutlery provided. A steak knife would likely have struggled. The ‘toast’ was basically bread that had been threatened with heat. Really a very disappointing experience and certainly will not bother eating here again.

Good selection of food and drinks, friendly staff, tables not 100% clean but this might be just at peak times when we visited. They’ve got a breakfast menu which includes a Full English as well as a Kids menu.

Took over half an hour for a breakfast and waffles, cafe had maybe 4 tables and the rest empty. Staff are untrained and dysfunctional. Never coming here again.

Good range of offerings at reasonable prices.

Go for breakfast/lunch every so often as I can normally get in and out in my 30m lunch break! Breakfast hot and fresh never had a problem not normally too busy either!

Terribly slow service, dirty tables

Always excellent service and the young man who’s manager is so polite and helpful to our young family. As a contract buyer and previous operational manager and many years of customer experience I know good service and he really is a shining light to Tesco. Food and prices very reasonable too.

They make a lovely full English breakfast

Visita por primera vez a Tesco Cafe y no fue demasiado alentadora. Compró un americano para ir por 2. 10 GBP. Bastante deslucido. El Café en sí no es tan agradable como otros cafés de supermercados en los que he estado y es bastante pequeño. Aquí se sirven desayunos de freidora y lo que se servía parecía bastante poco atractivo.

Clearly understaffed. Tables left uncleared, service slow. Food ok - servers doing their best.

I miss the old Tesco cafes, now it's Costa which is okay, but would be nice to have choice of getting properly cooked lunches or a nice morning fry up. However, it's very comfy and staff have always been good and quick.

Tesco café is a reasonable, pleasant place to visit. The food is consistent - consistently mediocre, unfortunately. The breakfasts are below par, my fiance has sent a couple back unfortunately, due to being undercooked. There are a few plusses - the staff, in general, are polite & friendly, others are not as welcoming, though, and it is clean & tidy. The con's - pretty pricey for what is served & the quality of said food, and the menu is very limited. Overall - a nice place to eat for a quick bite or bowl of chips. But, if you are looking for anything else, I'd recommend the Gog's café, which is a couple of miles away.

Jacket potatoes and burgers, save my life for eating pre-cooked food from other place else. Thanks! Sometimes would need a bit more cleaning tables. Friendly people.

Foods ok but the drinks are not good, especially the mocha, bland and bitter and the hot chocolate was like sipping flavourless boiling water dressed up with cream

Not enough staff. Cafe was only half full but they said it would be 25 minutes before they could serve me an all day breakfast.

Great place for a cooked breakfast, and a coffee. Friendly and efficient staff, and very reasonable prices. I always try get their for breakfast when working in the area . Just a pity other branches of Tesco have switched to more expensive and mediocre artisan coffee shops...

Good place for a quick coffee, plenty of seating available. Good location for a meeting especially if you want to avoid the traffic and don't need to go into Cambridge

Very friendly staff, they are eager to solve any issues (if any). The food is cooked per order with table service including if you just order drinks. This is a lovely cafe since the refurbishment and we'll worth the time. I am very happy to recommend this to friends :).

No fresh to order food served at 1pm .

Was ok for a cheap breakfast. Hash browns slightly over done and toast slightly under done.

Slow service 2nd time this week no one was on the till and had to wait.

Cheap, friendly, usually not too busy, reliable. More truckstop café than anything else, but that is good enough.

Great for breakfast, unexpected in a shop

Ordered JP and a latte. Told 30 minutes wait. I asked for my latte to drink whilst waiting and told No it will come with my food. I asked if I could have it now and told again no don't have time to make it. Despite nobody in queue behind me. Not as good as bar hill!

Me encanta visitar la cafetería para un desayuno frito. Gran valor @ 3. 99. El té viene en una tetera que llena 2 tazas de té. Lo único que cambiaría en el menú de desayuno es el tomate en lata. El servicio es eficiente usando un número provisto una vez que pagas en el registro. ¡Voy a volver!

Kitchen staff need to take more care in how they plate up and present the food. Poor presentation gives the message that you don't really care.

Fantastic customer service, the Manager himself was serving at the till plus making everyone's drinks, then he even came and collected the tray while asking if my food was okay!!! Staff member who was cooking the hot food also brought it out to the table. Seriously impressed!! Good food (had a breakfast) was very filling, very good value. A lot lot better since it had gone downhill, food and customer service 200% better, will recommend to everyone 😊 Thank you to the Café Manager and staff!!!

I took my son here for a quick bit to eat and it was really rather poor :( the staff couldn't care less, and were in no rush to serve anyone! the food wasn't great, and there was very little availability. If you make a complaint to Tesco I believe they just say it's nothing to do with them any more, a real shame as it used to be a nice place for a fair priced healthy meal!

Staff on service rude and near enough throw the food at you. Complained and was told the cafe is not actually Tesco???. staff not wearing name badges and will not tell you their names I wonder why!!!. also and spoke to each other in a language we couldn't understand. avoid this cafe at all costs . shame we all liked the old Tesco. Note to whoever runs this you are only as good as your staff!!!.
