Winners Chinese Takeaway in South Cambridgeshire

Not brilliant food and service is poor. Food missing and promised it would be re delivered. Waited an hour and still a no show. Just full of bull for excuses. Helpful though as made me realise it worth driving 6 miles the other way and getting good food and service.

Lively food BUT always something missing and don’t answer the phone when you call to follow up. Last time no chicken spring rolls, this time no cucumber or hoisin sauce to go with our duck.

Ordered from this business a few times and have used their delivery service. Food has always been hot and well cooked, my only complaint would be that the sweet and sour sauce is a bit too sour for my taste - but thats most likely on me not them! However delivery has always taken over an hour. For one order on a monday night I waited near 2 and a quater hours which was a let down especially as I was only just outside the villiage.

Staying at travelodge fourwentways in Abington, this is the only place that doesn’t charge exorbitant fees to deliver, it is by far the best Chinese I’ve tasted so far in the CB postcode area :-D I have ordered again for the n if they of posting this review! I hope the food is equally as good ! Highly recommended!

Ordered a large selection of food and was pleasantly surprised. The dishes were delicious and very fresh .. myself and all of my friends enjoyed everything that we ordered. Would definitely recommend this Chinese takeaway..

Weve been using Winners for years but lately not only have the prices risen massively with no notice, the food isnt as good as it used to be. It's a shame because it's one of very few places that deliver in the village.

Have been ordering from here monthly since March and it's been consistently good. Big portions, tasty and reliable.

1 star because I can’t give 0.Absolutely shocking service. Ordered 5 dishes and 4 were wrong, they redelivered and wanted to charge us again. Opened the new bag of food and it was STILL wrong. Phoned again only to be met with “I don’t understand” prices are shocking, not worth the salty slimey food we were served. Just found out it’s 1 star hygiene rating too.....

Ordered from Winners the other day (Xmas eve), Our order should’ve come to £40.70 according to the menu and they usually charge £6 for delivery. When I asked how much it would be to get the money ready I was told £50 exactly. I thought that’s more expensive than usual!When the driver turned up he said it’s £54. I said no I was told 50, he just said it’s a new menu and showed me the receipt and it had £50 printed on there and in pen someone had crossed it out and written £54. So as well as prices increasing since the new owners have taken over, the delivery drivers seem to be running a scam. I have contacted the company who said that they would look into it, but surprisingly they have ignored me. Avoid.

First time trying , food so expensive. Chips half cooked. Overpriced and worst food ever. DO NOT VISIT! Waste of money absolutely

Is this place under new ownership?? Always a little expensive, but food was always good. Just had a takeaway, everything 50p - £1 more expensive, the food was awful. Absolutely tasteless. We won't be using again. Sawston Chinese next time.

We had a small birthday party and we ordered chicken chow mian, crispy duck , pancakes rolls, chicken balls ,and more. It was recommended to us by our neighbours and it’s really fantastic. My favourite is the crispy duck and the spicy shredded beef. My kids love the cod and chicken nuggets!

After 2 hours wait, birthday dinner was too late. Quite a shame given the current climate and being a key worker.

We ordered half portion of the crispy duck and the satay chicken skewers and some fried rice and chicken chow mian. Everything tastes so good. We will become regulars from now on! Thanks!

Due to lockdown , could only order home delivery and decided to try winners takeaway. To my surprise, it was really delicious. Delivery was prompt and food is awesome. Would recommend !

To celebrate our anniversary, we tried winners takeaway ! Wow, the food was really amazing and I love their beef chow mian and the chicken with cashew nuts

I have just moved to the area and this is a very nice Chinese. The curry is very nice I have it all the time. It has one of the best ribs I have ever tasted! Yum yum. The only downfall is the prawn toast. I have had it twice now and I don’t think there is any prawn it in just fried bread! Regardless of the prawn toast it’s very tasty! More prawns in toast please

We have been enjoying their food for many months, but tonight's Chicken & Chips was the best quality we have ever received at a reasonable cost. We are fortunate to have a take-away of this level in our village.

We got an excellent takeaway from here tonight and all loved it. I had spare ribs and vegetables in sweet and sour sauce which were great, lots of lovely fresh vegetables in a honey type sweet and sour sauce. Daughter had onion rings, veg chow mein, son had sausage and chips, husband had king prawns with bamboo shoots and waterchesnuts and rice and all had great meals. We've had takeaways many times before from here and never had a bad one.

We have been going to Winners for many years,Do not know if changed chef.but ordered a curry last night,absolutely awful,not even the couler or flavour of a curry plus even the egg fried rice was missing the egg.Afraid now it has put us of returning.

Burger raw. Didn't realise until my son had started eating it. Hope he doesn't get food poisoning. Chip over cooked and a bag full of bits

Moved to the area not long ago tried few other Chinese takeaways before this one. Once trying this place won’t be going anywhere else absolutely delicious

Very happy with the food, cheap and nice. I had sweet and sour tofu with chips. The portion was big!

We are fortunate enough to have a take-away that provides extremely tasty food, with generous portions, and consistanty produce the same standard, at a reasonable price. Can be fully recommended.

We ordered sufficient meals for four people by phone and were given an expected delivery time. The meals were duly delivered on time. Not only was the food extremely tasty it had very generous portions in very good plastic containers. I am familiar with Chinese take aways in other areas and can honestly say that I have found none better.

Huge portions of very tasty dishes with very good service. Only downside is that they don’t accept cards,cash only.

Lovely food for really good prices, very large portions. Haven't found anything on the menu that wasn't tasty.
