We are from india ,Kerala 🤷‍♀️even the chef in our place will cook much better than you just a rice and 2 small piece of egg and uncooked 3 piece of chicken = fried rice😅 we expect more but its too disgusting the only near restaurant in papworth is yours that y we choose you .bai bai that was the first and last .never recomment 🤮

Pretty reasonable tasty Chinese takeaway. We don’t have much choice in Papworth so this is our only option for a Chinese. Food is normally pretty good but the salt & pepper squid is often chewy and over cooked. We eat quite early so I tend to order before they are open and it’s delivered about 30 mins after they open. Costs about £50-£60 for 4 adults. Good sized portions.

After moving to Elsworth recently we have twice had a Chinese from Cook 4u and the food has been excellent. Will certainly be going back.

Food was slimy and honestly felt off. Undercooked meat tasted off. Ended up binning it and getting KFC

I order from here because it's one of the only nearby delivery services I know of in Papworth. The food is great quality, arrives hot and in great time too. The Online website says that it takes an hour to arrive but it only take 30 minutes. Delivery driver is always nice too Very well priced too

Being a Papworth resident we've used Cook4U a number of times and always found it fine. Ordered a takeaway before settling down to watch the darts world final (not a darts fan but Luke Littler was a must watch!). The website said 60 minutes for delivery but the food arrived less than 15 minutes after ordering so bear in mind that the online app timing may not be accurate and the food might arrive a lot sooner than forecast, particularly mid week. Portion sizes are pretty big so one rice between two is prudent. The House Special Curry was huge and very tasty. Wife had Sweet and Sour Hong Style which was equally tasty. Overall, Cook4U is a great option for a lazy takeaway. Food is delivered hot, in good portion sizes, at a reasonable price and of a decent quality. Ordered a Chinese takeaway. It arrived spot on time, a Friday night, and the food order was correct. The food itself was plenty and tasted great. I have no complaints at all and would happily order from there again.

Had a take away Chinese meal. Arrived on time and they provided everything we ordered. The food was very nice and for the price was good. I’m not going to say the food was excellent, but I would happily order from there again. Give it a go.

Between 2 and 4 times a year, we treat ourselves to a meal from Cook4U. The menu is extensive, the food is good quality Chinese fare and the delivery service is very reliable.

We love this takeaway. Always polite, orders always correct, large helpings of tasty food. Great value. For a time they had a low hygiene rating, so we stopped going just in case, but now that's addressed we've resumed regular visits. Highly recommended.

We have used this takeaway for a few years now and it's always been delicious and a good service. However on Saturday 26th November it was a different story, when my husband arrived after ordering our food on the phone, it was very busy, the lady gave him our order but as he was leaving she'd realised she hadn't put the rice in. When we got the food out it wasn't the rice we'd ordered, we ordered special fried rice as that's all we like but they had given us plain white rice which was all stodgy so we didn't eat it!! Also the the sesame toast was soggy and the chicken balls were very dry as if they'd been cooked a while ago. So disappointing as we've always loved the food from here, maybe if they are that busy they should get extra staff in, let's hope it was just a blip🤞

We have used this takeaway for years and was fantastic but in the last year or so it really can only be described as awfull ,tasteless, and very bland, i suppose weve carried on using them for its great delivery but no more can we put up with paying to have a very below average meal,everything in tonights meal was like eating cardboard ,no taste whatsoever,and as for the "Crispy duck" well it would of been easier to eat an old car tyre! Sorry to leave a bad review but it had to be said we stuck with you but not anymore!

The WORST Chinese I have ever had took an hour and a half to be delivered and when it came I am absolutely shocked to how bad it tastes there is no flavour to any of it its actually disgraceful

Good asian take away. Red curry is very tasty as so is the house special chow mein. It is a bit difficult to find, so make sure you follow Google Maps directions. Website could be better by having pictures from the dishes, there is so much to choose from!

Unfortunately both my self and my wife got the worst food poisoning of our life - it was 3 brutal days, worse than our trip to Indonesia. Its a shame, as the food its tasty, but not worth the risk at all!

We had a Chinese from here with our friends as we have just moved into the village. All 5 of us are poorly with sickness and diarrhoea. Appalling!

We ordered from here as we couldn't get through to our usual. This is not a mistake we will make again. I don't think there was a single item which wasn't significantly overcooked. It was edible, but some items were barely edible. There was no meat on the ribs we ordered and, across several dishes, the sauces were bland, the meat was horribly dry and both noodles and rice were mushy. Slightly more expensive than our usual too. Sorry to leave a bad review, but have to be honest.

This is my go to Chinese, I work in Cambridge and live in Cambourne and choose this takeaway over any. The food is consistently excellent, with proper portion size. The staff are friendly and they deliver as well.

Very poor food. we had the starter for two, where the ribs were very dry and very little taste. one main course Chicken Chow mien just a few slivers of tasteless chicken and a very little amount of beansprouts; mainly noodles. The other main dish was prawn and Cashew nuts, the prawns were rubbery and had no taste what's so ever. Cooked OK but very poor ingredients.

Read a lot of bad reviews but had countless meals and never had a problem. From calling up to delivery to food is 5*. Have worked in catering for 30years plus so I’m always looking for a 5-* review or 5 food rating but always used cook4you in Papworth and consistently had an amazing meal every single time. People are very good at complaining when it’s bad but not so good at reporting good food. Don’t believe everything you read.

We used to use this Chinese however I was put off by the amount of garlic used, we decided to give it another go. They missed some items off the order and when I opened a container there was a used plaster inside!! I posted on my local Facebook group and it became very apparent that I wasn’t the only one. Others had found hair and plastic. Common theme on undercooked chicken balls too. I’ve given one star as it wouldn’t allow me to reduce it to a zero rating

Ordered a meal for four of us a few weeks ago direct with Cook4u however this evening we have booked through "Just Eat" for delivery. Originally the website said 45 minutes for delivery,. which was fine however at the 45 minute point it them went to 90 minutes. We are unable to contact Cook4u as they just don't answer the phone. Unfortunately the time has now elapsed again and delivery it estimated at just over the two hour point. This is not acceptable in this day and age for a Home delivery system and has put me off using them again in the future. As an update it had taken many calls on atto re dial to get through and the answer given for the delay was "The kitchen could not cope" it would of been better to actually inform one the delay at time of ordering that let the customer find out over two hours later ....... while still waiting for food ! :-)) food arrived 2:15 after ordering , on the plus side the food was great ... but the ordering system needs to be sorted out. I would say 5 stars for food and 1 for delivery / service.

Trying to get through to this place is ridiculous, my phone has been on permanent ring back for over an hour, I got through at one stage and was asked to hold the line, then someone just hung up me, that was over 45 minutes ago, still no reply ...Absolute joke, won't be bothering with this place again. This is the 3rd week running we can't get through.

Have ordered with this restaurant several times and have had issues with timeliness, but the quality makes up for 15 mins or so delay. Today, however, was unacceptable. Delivery took 2 hours and 15 minutes and the food was only fine. For the wait you'd expect perfection. When we tried to contact the restaurant to enquire about our food the lines were engaged. 7 phone calls and the line was always engaged over a 20 minute period.... Yeah! When the food did eventually arrive there was no apology from the delivery driver. Would not recommend and would never order again.

We have been a customer for years now. Great food, good choice very good value. The staff work so hard and are very friendly when you call. I would really recommend it.

Very good takeaway if you live in and around Cambridge this is totally recommended, full of flavour , well cooked and piping hot on delivery. Contactless delivery as well for those wondering due to the current pandemic we are in. Give them a try.

Twice in 10 days we've ordered via Just Eat including on my birthday, after having two good meals previously. Both times we ordered a couple of days before the date on which we wanted the food, and twice it's been declined but only on the day of planned delivery. This may be Just Eat's problem, it may be that the place is now closed but we don't know and it needs sorting out.

Didn’t know about this place until recently. Placed order twice since then, once for collection once for home delivery - both occasions food lovely and hot and the chicken balls are fab (so crispy) - really polite and friendly staff too

Order from here regularly and food is normally really good however last time I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls they were so greasy only managed to eat a few of them before I got a bad stomach. Will not be ordering from them again.

Nothing special about the food, just okay and they don't take payment by card which is inconvenient.

I grew up my best friend being Chinese and being blessed with eating great Chinese cuisine. This however was far from that. I guess they are not catering for the Chinese or people who know Chinese. What we ordered was very bland and I guess they have a market in a town were folk don't know Chinese and probably order chicken balls and chips. Massive shame as the other Chinese Thai place close by is really good. The seaweed was syrupy and way to much sugar and the seafood soup was shocking. What a shame for the money paid.

I've JUST finished eating, and rushed to come make a review. This was by far the best chinese I've eaten in my whole 32 years, the chips we're perfectly crisp, nothing was greasy, the delivery driver was very nice, quick and hot. I'm very impressed, and its not often I'm happy with delivery food these days. 5 STAR

It's a bit of an odd location, at the end of a road in a deserted business park, but the food was really good - fresh and tasty, with reasonable vegetarian options.

Decided at 4.40pm that we wanted a Chinese meal. First time we have used Just Eat on the web. They bought up Cook 4U who are in the village who opened at 5.00 pm. Ordering on line was so easy as was paying. Booked for collection at 5.20 pm received text confirmation and collected the order. Friendly and helpful staff. They did ask me if I wanted the free soft drinks that came with spending a set amount. Food was very good I would recommend Cook 4U and will use them again.

Orderd the food online they forgot the sweet and sour chicken and we didn’t get the soft drink you’re meant to get with spending a certain amount and no fortune cookies. Instead we get 2 bags of prawn crackers. The food was average not as good as the other one

New to the area and did not know about this little Gem. I would recommend for anyone in or near Papworth to try. The food was delivered very swiftly. Told 30 mins but only took 10mins (I do live 3 to 4 mins away). The food we ordered came nice and hot and tasted amazing. We will definitely be ordering from here again when we want a Chinese.
