I have been using The Flying Dragon for about 20 years. Every time no matter what you choose the meal is delicious, hot and reasonably priced. Can't ask for more than that

Visited here a few times, it is the only Chinese take away in Melbourne. Had one bad take away meal, in that it wasn’t overly hot. several other good meals.

First time trying today really do feel ill 🥶 after eating this food 😷

Best Chinese around. Everyone there is super friendly and I’ve never had an incorrect order in over ten years. Remember cash only, can use the the co-op who have a minimum spend of £1.

We ordered food at about 7.20pm for delivery to Royston and were quoted 'about an hour and a half' which we expected on a saturday night. Food arrived just after 9pm, hot, delicious, very good value and delivered by a happy, friendly driver. What more could you ask for?!!

Absolutely love the Flying Dragon, amazing food. Fantastic service. Marked down for atmosphere, as it's a unit on a industrial estate.

We tried this for the first time earlier this week and was pleasantly suprised. They delivered to Harston which a lot of takeaways don't do and the food was quality. We got a chicken chow mein, Singapore noodles, Satay chicken (which was the highlight of the meal for me), egg frid rice and sweet and sour sauce. All of which were really good. Would recommend and will be going again.

The prawns seemed like they had frostbite and were still cooked with no flavour, and the sweet and sour aren't a nice taste...very disappointed as it's our local Chinese shop.

Just had foo young and chips with spare ribs the chips were dry and cold the chicken foo young had hardly any chicken in it. Cost £17. 58 will not be returning. Rip off.

Food used to be amazing from here, recently not so good. Time to find a new Chinese takeaway place.

This chinese is the most tasty, value for money chinese takeaway I have had in recent years. Very, very generous portions while all others are getting smaller.Would recommend to anyone. The young man behind the counter was a credit to them. Well done.

Food was OK , but I've had much better. The Kung Po was very hot n spicy and the rice was bland. If fill a hungry stomach, but it wouldn't be my first choice

The Flying Dragon in Melbourn is by far our favourite Chinese in the area. The food is consistently delicious, delivered hot, and the staff are always super friendly. Would definitely recommend!

This is the best Chinese in the area. We had to try a different Chinese this Tuesday because Flying Dragon was closed and it made us realise how perfect this place is. The food is super delicious and tastes so fresh! The staff are wonderful too. We love it :)

Cracking takeaway last night. First time we've tried it. Portions were generous and food delicious. Knocks spots off anything in Sawston. Our new local!

Great Chinese food but cash only

We ordered a delivery for 2 people. Delivery was on time and the food was superb. Duck chow mien lovely Chicken balls so tender and not greasy. Chicken and cashew nuts, again incredibly tender chicken. Just a really proper yummy meal. No complaints.

With a delivery time of 55minutes we thought was already long. For the food to then turn up 15minutes later than this I was really dissapointed and hungry. We have had this takeaway three times this year and every time food has been late once it was an hour late meaning it took two hours from the time of ordering to receive our food. The food has also always been sub par. The ribs were nice today but so much smaller than previous years. The prawn toast was great and the only thing worth a good mention. The rest of the food was pretty bland. Chicken chow mein had no flavour at all and was very dry. The beef in black bean was boring in flavour and tasted nothing like black bean sauce. I used to love this place but not even an apology for being late and food has gone way down in my books. I am always willing to give second chances but for a third bad meal we will not be going back.

We have been using the Flying dragon since we moved to the village 10 years ago. Its consistently good, very quick service and on the occasion that we have had it delivered rather than picked up the delivery has been quick and the food piping hot. Highly recommend.

Always use flying dragon food always good.tonight we waited nearly two hours for our delivery when it did arrive was cold.The duck l ordered had been cooked so many times there was hardly any duck left.very disapointed

We’ve been using this place for several years, probably every couple of weeks. The food is very good, although sometimes a bit too salty. Apart from that, portions are a good size and delivery is speedy. I’d recommend it.

Had chicken chow mein... was far too salty... the chicken in bean sprouts was watery and inedible...tasted of nothing and did not even look like the dish on the menu. Very disappointed

This is the only Chinese takeaway I have used for so many years and I wish they had an online ordering service, Just Eat or something along those lines. I guarantee I would be using them even more! Always fantastic food, friendly service, delivered fast and superb. Please consider going online as this would be fab. I use online ordering regularly and this would be perfect if Flying Dragon were available through card payments and online ordering. No matter what, I can't recommend enough. We phoned up in advance for delivery for 7pm on a saturday night as we had a large order and it arrived on time. Food was very warm and tasted really nice. It was enjoyed by everyone.

Had takeaways from this place a few time food would be fine but for the amount of salt used probably wake up several times in the night to drink water think I’ll stick to fish and chips in the future

I preordered a takeaway on weds to be delivered at 6pm yesterday ( it was my husbands birthday and we were out all day so couldn't order on the day), it didn't arrive so I called them at 6.10pm- to be told the order hadn't even been put through! I was assured it would be with me by 7pm- I asked for the delivery charge to be taken off as they had messed up - which they did take off ( by the way delivery not so long ago used t be £3, now its £ 4.50 - a 50% increase!!!!!). The food arrived just before 7pm - I had asked for chicken chow mien without veg, as my daughter has IBS and she can't eat it with veg unfortunately it came with veg and the prawn crackers were soggy. I rang to complain and I've been told they will give me a free chow mien and crackers next time. The rest of the food we had was good but it would seem as others are suggesting that the service has definitely gone downhill since the new owners took over, the guy who answered the phone to me on all the occasions I rang doesn't speak very good English which I pointed out to the manager when I spoke to her and she just talked over me the whole time so all in all a very frustrating experience!!!!

The Ribs are pathetic, they have been getting smaller and smaller by the month and just dreadful now. Frazzled, won’t be buying them again

Excellent food at OK prices. Always fast service. Note that if the phone is engaged it may be that it is off the hook because they are busy - best to go in person.

I tried for over an hour to get through on the phone. Having finally managed to do so the person told me they don't deliver and then laughed when I told him I had spent so long on the phone. A pity as they used to offer great service - clearly the new owners are taking the opposite approach

We reguarly use the Flying Dragon for a takeaway Chinese meal. They are so efficient, friendly and the food is always excellent. Great parking as well, as it is situated on an industrial estate.

Is good but not my kind of thing

An industrial estate is not normally the place you go too for great Chinese takeaway. Especially not on the outskirts of a small rural village! But that is exactly where the flying dragon is. Plenty of parking, v helpful staff and amazing food. Once you have accepted the slightly odd route to get to it you won't be disappointed. It's at the very end of the industrial estate ( wind your car window down and follow your noise if lost. The cooking smells are amazing!). They only do takeaway, only accept cash....they apparently do delivery within a 5 mile radius. Brilliant find. We struggled to find the menu in advance so please find attached a copy. We will be back...

Will deliver, normally have order ready to collect in 10 to 15 mins! 5 star food hygiene award, family all have their favourites.

Delicious food, fast friendly service. Sometimes can take a while to get through but definitely worth the wait, best to collect as delivery can sometimes be over an hour. Highly recommend

This is Our local Chinese never dissapoints. Our family have been using it for years, so friendly and always speedy.

Tried this takeaway twice now, first time was lovely, arrived quickly and tasty good food. We ordered again on Thursday and having been told a 40 minute wait it turned up 1 hour and 20 minutes later, we could not finish our meal due to the chickeb curry being rediculousy spicy and the seaweed tasted stale. A bit of a shame as we thought we had found a nice chinese. The lady on the phone said they were having problems, when I called to see where the food was, must have been with the food...

Being a village and having a Chinese takeaway is very handy, we like the menu and mainly order the same dishes, its handy and convenient! Good well cooked food and not bad value.

The staff are extremely friendly and help full even if they are rushed off there feet.The food is fresh stays hot till home,good value and good quality food.They go out of there way to help with doing food that is gluten free or no added sugar.Delevery service brill but on busy times please put order in early to help them as the demand for this service is great.This take away in Melbourn stand clearly the best in area that's my opion.Please try
