Not the first time I have been disappointed worst pizza I've ever had won't get caught again FAROZ MUCH BETTER AND BETTER VA6

We didn't eat in. We had a take a way which was very tasty. I had the sweet and sour Hong Kong style chicken and the salt and pepper squid both of which were very good. I would definitely have a take away again. Very prompt service and food nice and hot, generous portions.

Great takeaway Chinese food. Always ready within 15 mins of ordering, piping hot and good service when paying. The chicken satay, roast duck curry, chicken curry, banana fritters and salt and pepper chips are great.

Be very careful when ordering from here if your gluten intolerant, as I ordered gluten free food the other evening, it clearly wasn’t passed on the the kitchen as my wife has been extremely ill over Christmas from being glutend , definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

I went in with lot of expectations based on many good reviews for this PUB in May . The food is very average for the price charged . We tried few dishes on the menu but it wasn’t great as expected nor did I get a feel of a pub . Actually disappointed.

Fantastic. The food is always good with great friendly staff. They offer a range of food so good for everybody. I would defiantly recommend to anybody.

Came for a birthday meal with 8 of us, the staff were so helpful and friendly, food came out quickly, they let us bring a birthday cake and gave us a knife and napkins etc. Can't fault the service was absolutely excellent and very attentive - thank you for a lovely evening!

Only went in for a pint the place was nice, clean and the beer was good. My daughter often gets take-away Chinese food from here and said that it was always good.

I live all the way in Soham, and will drive all the way to this Chinese every time. They are the best you can get in the entire area including Cambridge city and the staff are so friendly. Always 10/10.

If having a takeaway phone first. Or you could wait around approx 20 mins or more.

The restaurant is in the process of being renovated but it certainly didn't detract from the food that was one of the best Chinese meals I have eaten...and I have eaten a lot of Chinese food all over the world! I had 1/4 crispy duck with pancakes followed by sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style while my husband had the dumplings to start followed by a delicious beef chow mein. Well worth a visit and not at all expensive. I have paid over double for a lot worse. This is a definite "go to" place!!

We ordered a meal this evening, when my husband went to collect it, while he was waiting several customers were given wrong orders, he was given the wrong order, after a wait he was given what he thought was the correct one, he opened it and it was again the wrong order, they phoned to say they had his order, they said they would refund the difference, when we arrived to collect it the manager was rude and unprofessional, we will not be going back or recommending them. What should have been an eight mile trip ended being 16, and having to reheat the meal

We absolutely love this place for evening dinner. We generally sit in the restaurant but on this visit we were in the bar. We felt a bit isolated and had to ask for some of the services rather than them being offered but the food was amazing as usual. Next time will sit in the restaurant but other than that can't fault the place. Still a favourite.

Go to St Ives. Go to Cambridge. Go to huntingdon. You won't find a better Chinese than this. Absolutely the go to for a decent takeaway. Never disappointed. Only downside is there's no delivery, but collection is ready in 15 mins max. Won't be buying from anywhere else

Stodgy rice, very greasy. Hardly any flavour, just tastes like oil. I’m not sure if this has become the standard for Chinese but I expected it to be a lot nicer based on these reviews.

Exellent takeaway! Fast and really good food.

I cannot lie the wait was ridiculous but they explained this was due to a fault with just eat and were very polite and did their best to deal with an Endless stream of customers. They were so busy it wS a bit mad but as a first time customer it was nice to see so many loyal customers being patient and understanding. With 1500 new houses in northstowe they must be super busy. The food was absolutely 💯 👌 fantastic! Cannot wait to order again

Take away for my sons birthday. Food very over priced. Really bland not worth the money. The chicken was that reconstituted stuff. Chicken balls were swimming in grease needed a kitchen towel it press the oil out of them and really salty not healthy a cardiac dream. I think next time if my son suggest that a place to get a take away I shall stay in my own home and have baked beans on toast.

This used to be my local Chinese until I moved away in 2014. I haven't had a decent Chinese since. It was good to return for a take-out and remind myself what I was missing.

Had a lovely family meal last week, burgers were amazing! Staff are very friendly and excellent service. Will be back for a Sunday roast very soon as it seems highly recommended. Thank you Black Bull team 😊

Good food and good looking staff!

The food was excellent 10 out of 10. The service was good and quick. The only negative was that the restaurant wasn't really active. We were the only ones in that area, they turned on the lights when we arrived. Couldn't fault the food or service though.

Take away food is always great, never had a bad dish. Unfortunately items are always missing, they recommend checking before leaving, but as nothing is labelled its difficult to see what is or isn't missing.... but not worth taking stars off though, as food is great!

Gave me the wrong order! Food was full of sugar and fat!! Staff looked unprofessionally! Prices kinda expensive for what you get!! So please people if you care about your health and money don't go there!! Just cook food by yourselves be healthy and save your hard earn money :)

Love this place, best nearby chinese by a long long way. we get food from here all the time, and it's always on point. Not the cheapest - for the best reason, decent potions and great quality.

This is our go to Chinese takeaway. I have several intolerances but try to take as many out as possible and they cater to that. This is affordable and yummy and a huge variety, they are also very quick and have never disappointed in what they provide. I hope to never have to find a new Chinese as this is a great local to have.

Never visit here as the locals slander, abuse and harass normal people, calling them:'loony, 'prostitute', 'mad woman','mad whore'etc. You cannot walk to the shops without being harassed by these civilly disobedient men, women and their ignorant progeny.I felt physically sick every time I went out for 6 months to the point where I did not anymore.Ironically there is a church in the area: must be for Satanists!YEUCH.DON'T ENDANGER YOUR HEALTH/EMOTIONAL WELLBEING BY SETTING FOOT IN THE PLACE.

If you order beef burger this is the quality to expect. Having said that, the Chinese food my wife ate was not much better.

I buy my Chinese takeaway from here as it’s the best for miles. The pub is not the best pub I have been in but the Chinese food is great. They don’t scrimp on the meat. Lovely chunks of chicken and the prawn balls are to die for. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Very friendly staff good service and food there was 12 of us and the food came out all together and was hot.

Not my type of pub, but the food is cracking. Take away portions are a nice size. Would definitely recommend.

Never been disappointed, they give such a generous portion of food, and there spring rolls are to die for! Also a nice pub on the weekend to go sit and have a few drinks with friends, very reasonably priced!

Went to the blackball pub tonight and ordered a Chinese come to £30 got it home and it was stone cold got some rips and in There was a long black hair in there made me feel sick put all the food back into a carrier bag went back spoke to the manager and got a full refund 🤮🤮🤮 never ever going back there again

Absolutely dreadful service waited 45 mins after the time for collection. They spent more time looking for the remote for TV we had to make our own kebab the pita wasnt even cut and it was bathed in oil. Will not be going here again I suggest people dodge this place

Been here for a takaway chinese a long time ago... can remember thinking i wouldn't be back. Tried again tonigh and simply the food isn't up to scratch. Nothing personal here but just not anywhere near what we get elsewhere.... overall quality and taste just poor. I don't like giving negative reviews and don't take any pleasure in doing so but simply not up to scratch... temped to add photos but i think ive made my point.

Yet again, last month, there was trouble at the pub and the landlord did nothing. The sooner he looses his licence the better for everyone. Not a nice place to go to at all and the food has gone seriously down hill. This is a place to be avoided unless you like the Cambridge version of the wildwest.

I telephoned our order through £23.40 and was told 10 minutes. I arrived and the young guy at first couldn't find my order receipt after some searching he found it and he told me it wouldn't be long I sat down and several people came in for their orders and to pay, in the meantime another even younger boy was coming out of the kitchen on a regular basis bringing out bags of food, this food joined other bags of food sitting on the side. They didn't call out a number or your name and the food just sat there. The boy behind the counter was completely overwhelmed by the amount of people coming in and was in a flap the bags of food continued to sit there it was an absolute joke. After 15 minutes I asked the boy where my food was he looked at the receipts and said this bag I said but it's been sitting there 15 minutes I felt it didn't feel cold but not hot the boy just shook his head he was out of his depth I asked to see the manager who had been out previously to sort out someone else's order which they had lost she came over to me with a unfriendly face and I said my food has been sitting there for 15 minutes and no one has bothered to tell me that was my order was ready she put her hand in the bag and said I've been busy and it's not cold that was it. I'm sorry but the fact that she's been busy isn't my problem and not even a sorry, she took the bag and said I will re cook it well five minutes later she brought the bag out again so no way was it cooked again she passed me the bag with a look of thunder no sorry no smile no nothing. I live 5 minutes down the road and when I got home and opened it just luke warmNo way am I spending my money there again complete disorganisation and very rude manager

My aunt was treat like a ANIMAL by this pub!!she went to this pub for a meal but felt uneasy as some people were staring at her so first asked if she could use their loo, as she came out she heard a man make a nasty remark about her weight “check if she hasn’t broken the toilet” so with that she walked out in tears. To whoever you are - get cleaning your loos because they were filthy

For a scrummy Chinese meal, you can't beat this place. The portions are always on the large side & the food is always nice & hot. The service is very good also. They have live bands playing sometimes which is great entertainment. They do a takeaway service aswell. This place is just around the corner from my dads & I go there often. Its nice to just sit there on Friday night after work & enjoy good grub at good prices.

I am not local to the area but I had been told this was the best takeaway Chinese restaurant in the area. I can only imagine it is the only one!

My friend recommended this and forwarned me that although the food excellent at this pub, which had been massively extended, it has a social club feel and is work-in-progress.

excellent quality food. prices are very fair for the quantity + quality.

Beer selection poor and those they have taste odd. Always seems to have building work being done. Only worth going there if you are passing by or want Chinese takeaway which itself is a touch bland. If you want somewhere to take other half, parents or kids then try better places in neighbouring areas.

We eat takeaway from here every couple of weeks or so as we live locally. The food is prepared very quickly (not convinced it can be cooked fresh) and prices are OK. We're generally pretty happy with the quality of the food.
