I'm going to be blunt. This place is depressing. It lacks any atmosphere or warmth. The decor is basic/stark to say the least and so is the menu. The food is 'ok' but definitely on the budget end of things in terms of quality. The cafe itself is COLD. Being in a garden centre constructed of greenhouses obviously doesn't help and I'd imagine heaters were off due to power costs. When we moved to the area 12 years ago the cafe, whilst basic, was homey and made tasty food at great prices. It changed owners and the quality has steadily gone down over the years. The counter service we received this trip was very abrupt and not friendly, warm or welcoming. Based on this visit it will be our last. I know the cafe is for sale at the moment.

Pretty disappointing, lunch a small under cooked baguette and burnt chips that we couldn’t eat, used to be good but seems to have gone down hill lately

Had a great mid-ride stop at Teapots..The beans and eggs on toast were tasty, good value and served amazingly quickly. We sat out in the sunshine. The staff are always welcoming and chatty. Today we were Riding for Ukraine 🇺🇦 and the lovely waitress kindly gave us a donation. What a diamond 💎 Well done Teapots!

Had a very good breakfast and cheaper than other places. Only down side was the toilets. Really need looking at.....and cleaning. This is a proper 'caff' , so dont expect frills. Tables not always as clean as they could be but it is good value.

I visited Teapot Cafe 20.09.20 with a group of cyclists as one of the other cafe's has a large queue. We walked straight in and were served very quickly. They had a pretty good system in operation to keep things moving. It was much cheaper that our first intended cafe and the food was of a good quality and we were able to sit outside in the sun which was a bonus. We will certainly return if the standards are maintained and also the costs. Well done all at Teapots Cafe.

Ordered two roast dinners today but after waiting and waiting for them to arrive and seeing people arriving after us getting their meals, we discovered that our order had been misplaced and only one roast dinner left available. We asked for our money back and left.

We tend to eat here as it is cheaper than ‘next door’, very good food, tasty, plenty to eat, friendly staff. The place is hygienic.

Drop in the spur of the moment visit but I found a little gem. Reasonable prices I didn't eat this time but will definitely be back to try it. Lovely atmosphere friendly service and definitely worth a visit for a quick bite to eat.

We often stop here before going off for a round of golf locally. Their cafe opens at 09.00 am and serves a great breakfast good tea and coffees. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is always prepared fresh and we always enjoy so we keep coming back. There is enough parking outside. The prices here are also very reasonable.

Lovely lunch with a friend today, nice friendly staff and good value. We both had a jacket potato. Lots of different toppings to go on the jacket potato. I had Chilli topping with grated chees and salad. My friend just had the cheese and salad. Very popular with people.

We followed the sign off the Cambridge road and found this no frills café at the back of the Phillimore Garden Centre. There was an extensive menu of proper food, the service was great and the prices cheap. especially on Tuesday and Thursday when it is 'Pension day'. It I not as fancy as some places, but the food is good and it's great value.

We were staying at the camp site attached to the garden centre. We checked and discovered we could have breakfast at 8.30.despite the garden centre not opening until 10 am. It was lovely, with tea/coffee and toast included. Vegetarian breakfast looked good.

Fantastic value Cafe. Serves proper food. We all found something on the menu that we liked. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who offered to push two tables together for us so we weren't squashed and were happy to serve us complimentary tap water which in some establishments seems to be discouraged. When food arrived it came all at the same time so no one in the group had to wait and was really tasty.

We decided to pop in here as we had been shopping close by and were quite hungry. They have a sign behind the till which says to ask them about dietary restrictions and intolerances. We asked if they had any food for coeliacs to which replied "nah, we don't really do that". How hard can it be to have a gluten free jacket potato? They obviously just don't care.

Stopped off here for a quick bite to eat. What a miserable person on the till, so unfriendly and grumpy. No prices on the menu board either.

We used to visit this garden centre primarily for the home made food in the cafe and decided to call in for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately the home made element seems to have disappeared. I thought I would order Sausage and Chips (No egg, my choice!) and my wife had a prawn salad. Our plates arrived and we were both shocked, my plate consisted of one sausage and a helping of chips, my wife's salad looked very dull and boring. Nobody then noticed that we had finished our main course and were waiting for our dessert. Fortunately we don't live close enough to be tempted to try it again.

This is an old school cafe, without any airs or graces. If you want nicely cooked and tasty simple food at a reasonable price then come here. The staff are polite and friendly and all the food on my breakfast appeared to be good quality. The fried breakfast was not greasy either. Will definitely return.

I've only ever eaten breakfast here and it has been good. I can't put very good because I feel that more could be done to warrant this. I would certainly regularly eat here and do from time to time.

A cafe set within a garden centre which is a lovely idea. The staff are very friendly and the menu gives a wide variety of choice both for drinks and food.

Went here for breakfast while working nearby. The Teapot Cafe is situated within Phillimore Garden Centre, the menu was quite extensive offering everything from cakes to main meals. I had a large full english breakfast which was pretty standard except for the inclusion of chips. The food was ok, but the breakfast was a but to much, 'greasy cafe' for my liking. In particular the hash browns where very greasy and soggy. That said it was pretty cheap. I am sure a slice of cake or lunch may be better as it was decent enough cafe.

First time here in several years, and not a lot has changed. It's a family pub and very noisy had a job hearing each other we first looked at sitting in the quarter area but the exterior was continually being left open and it aas very cold. Staff at the bar very were friendly and welcoming. We ordered 2 mixed grills and a gammon steak. Basically the food was OK except for the steak with the mixed grills we were asked how we wanted them done, which was both medium but both were over cooked and they couldn't be eaten the rest were fine. Don't know if we would go back.

Tucked away off the A10, this place has a great vibe. The place was buzzing when I visited. I loved seeing the coffee beans being roasted right there as you walk in and the aroma is incredible. The Turkish eggs were to die for. Step aside shakshuka, I think I’ve found my new favourite brunch. The coffee was rich and smooth, enhanced I’m sure by those amazing coffee aromas. Service was snappy and friendly. I’ll be back!

This Costa is now dog friendly. Coffee and cake was good as always, but was pleased to find out that you can now take your dog inside. Especially good to know as we head into the winter.

Fantastic, helpful staff. Lovely food. We hosted a baby shower for a friend. The staff were so helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped us set up decorations, move bits around, not too mention the Sunday lunch was fab. We will definitely go again.

The pub was in a quiet village with a good sized car park. We received a good welcome from the friendly landlord before trying a new to me beer which was excellent. When our friends arrived we ordered food. Pies for us and steak and chips and lasagne for them. All very good as was the wine. All in all a very enjoyable visit and we shall return.
