The garden center itself was lovely - beautiful plants, well-organised, and a great selection for every type of gardener. Good price for garden furniture too. However, the cafe was a bit of a disappointment. The fryer was out of order, which limited the menu quite a bit, and the kids’ meals were unfortunately not up to par. The Sunday roast was also underwhelming, with potatoes that were overcooked and burned. It’s a shame, as the setting has so much potential. Hopefully, they’ll make improvements in the hot meals soon to match the quality of the garden center itself! Coffee and homemade cakes were delicious though.

Met family for lunch here. The food was ok, although I found the pesto in the roll a little too oily. Just my preference. The others had also had rolls, which they enjoyed. The swapping of crisps to thick cut chips was an extra £2.50 which I thought was a little expensive. As was the price of a slice of cake £5! But then we didn't have to go for a slice.... The restaurant was a long way from the entrance, sited near the exit, you had to go via the rest of the indoor part of the garden centre, especially if you only wanted to visit the cafè and nothing else. If there is another route, it wasn't very well signposted. The toilets were clean and tidy. Decor good. Overall, it was a nice place the plates of food coming out of the kitchen looked good...perhaps I should have chosen differently.

A bit chaotic, there’s a sign saying ‘wait to be seated’ but nobody seats you. You have to just go and order at the till like a cafeteria. With the breakfast you can’t swap anything out. You can take things off but not add anything in its place. Which is a bit stingy. Apart from that it’s all very average. Hence 3 stars.

2nd time we've had a disappointing lunch here in 2 months. Last time 2 of our first choice meal options weren't available. This time we ordered 3 club sandwiches on BROWN bread. The person taking our order repeated it back to me, all was fine. Club sandwiches arrived on WHITE bread. I queried this with our server, she went back to check, came back and apologised that they'd read our order incorrectly. Basic customer service is surely to read orders properly! I asked how long would it take to re-make our order correctly, server said about 20 minutes in a tone of voice that implied it wasn't possible (although we didn't have time to wait another 20 minutes anyway) so we ate the meal, all of us leaving the disgusting thick white slabs of bread. These club sandwiches are hugely over priced anyway at almost £13, which would've been just about acceptable if we'd received the food we actually ordered. We won't be coming here again anytime soon. All options far too expensive now, coupled with poor service it's not an enjoyable lunchtime option anymore.

Love this garden centre! I last visited COGC back in the early part of summer, and my wife and I were extremely impressed with the quality of plants, food, and other garden accessories available. The staff were great too! They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and went the extra mile in order to make sure they provided complete customer satisfaction. As such, we we're both looking forward to bringing my wife's parents on our next trip to COGC. When we finally managed this, oh boy, what a change! As usual, the garden team delivered the same level of service expected. This however cannot be said for the catering team. And whilst the person in charge in the restaurant was most apologetic for the events that thoroughly spoilt our visit, this resulted in my in us all leaving with a very dim view of the on-site catering. Firstly, the burgers were not available, something that was not advertised when entering the seating area. Secondly, and having ordered fish & chips all-round, we were advised, after waiting circa 20 minutes, that "the fryer had broken down", and as such, they couldn't serve this either. Thirdly, having ordered 3 sausage and mash and one omelette, the food finally arrived. What a disaster! The sausages were so overcooked they were extremely difficult to cut, not to mention tasteless, and the colour of the omelette resembled that of Royal Navy grey. It too was tasteles. Needless to say it wasn't eaten. To be completely frank, we couldn't be bothered to complain because 1, the time we had spent in the restaurant, 2, the vacant response by a member of staff to a question put to them by my mother-in -law's about her meal, and 3, we needed to get on with showing them how good COGC is! Oh, I nearly forgot, we were offered a free drink for the inconvenience. However, and whilst this was a kind gesture, it didn't change my in-laws' impression of the restaurant. They did, however, like the garden centre, but added it was unlikely that they would return given they usually have something to eat when visiting such places. As such I have now downgraded my 5 star review to a 3 star. Come on COGC, you can do better than this!

My local garden centre & visit often. The staff are just amazing and so happy, chatty , knowledgeable & friendly. Thank you ! Plants of excellent quality & the " half price half dead 😉 " section has some great bargains. Am very much a gardener so not interested in the clothing / gifts/ smellies side of things but it's all laid out well. Toilets are very clean and welcoming. Cafe nice but at busy times can have long queues - just have to be patient ! My one suggestion as a ' blue diamond card ' holder is you need to have much better lures / offers for your loyal customers. There's not much to gain from loyalty here & I recently desubscribed to your newsletter as the offers you were sending were useless to me due to no stock or just irrelevant to what I was buying....I also have a loyalty card for another locally based massive garden centre a bit further away ( recently undergone a major refurbishment) . I won't mention names but they offer an accrued points system which give reductions on future purchases. Last time I went, my points had accrued so I got nearly £10 off my plant & compost purchase. Think you're missing a trick here blue diamond 😉.....I'd use you much more if your offered a points system for future money off redemptions & focused on incentives to shop with you for actual gardeners who buy gardening stuff !!!!

I don’t really like to leave negative reviews as usually the issue can be resolved in person and there’s no harm done. However on this occasion I have to say that as a family we were all very frustrated, mortified and disappointed with the service and food we received at the cafe here. We ordered the following food: -Tuna baguette 1 with chips and 1 with cheesy chips. -Gourmet Cheesy chips. -Baked potato with tuna crème fresh and lemon. -Aubergine veggie roast. Firstly all of this food cost us around £70 which is NOT cheap, so we expected a certain level of quality from our food. However when it arrived we were greeted with a greasy soggy smalls bowl of cheesy chips (far from gourmet), a dry baked potato with literally a can of tuna dumped on it and no lemon or crème fresh. A, once again, dry sandwich with just tuna and no mayo or moisture at all to combine it together and some random flavourless tortilla crisps on the side despite asking for chips. And they didn’t have the veggie roast anymore so they just gave me extra veg (a lot of red cabbage) but didn’t discount the price a little even despite this. Out of all the dishes my dish was the only one that was even close to what we ordered and I must say tasted alright. We were very dissapointed, but we aren’t really people who like to make a big thing out of it so we just wanted our food fixed into what we had ordered so we politely asked a lady with red hair who then interrupted my dad and just went and got her manager which was fine but abrupt. She then said quite loudly “THIS MAN, has a problem apparently, with the food AND presentation” and made him feel very uncomfortable and also made the manager immediately treat him as if he was being rude. Then instead of resolving the actual issue they just brought out 3 bowls of plain crème fresh and refused to actually acknowledge just how bad all of the food was, the only comment we got was “the chips are chunky so that’s what makes them gourmet, but yeah it’s a bowl of cheesy chips”. And when dad kept asking if she understood why we were upset, she simply said “well we will get some bowl of crème fresh and if there’s any other issue let me know” but we had already told her! We just really wanted a resolution but didn’t get it, we left after and went to a different coffee shop to try and feel better but we were all mortified and just sad at how this were handled.

My recent visit to Coton Orchard Garden Centre was marred by a distressing incident that has left me deeply disappointed and concerned. While browsing the premises, a shed fell on me, causing injuries to my arm, shoulder, and cheek. What's even more alarming is that this accident could have involved my one-year-old child, who was seated in the trolley I was pushing at the time. The response from the establishment was grossly inadequate. Instead of taking meaningful action to address the physical and emotional distress caused by this incident, all I received was a phone call to wish me a speedy recovery. This incident reflects a blatant disregard for customer safety and wellbeing. I expected more from Coton Orchard Garden Centre and am deeply disappointed by their lack of accountability. I strongly advise caution to anyone considering visiting this establishment, as their negligence poses a significant risk to patrons. In light of this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Coton Orchard Garden Centre and urge them to prioritise safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Went here for a belated Mother’s Day. Mum was happy with the selection and quality of their plants, and there were some very appetizing cakes and treats in their shop, but their cafe seems overpriced for very average food. The chicken cordon bleu was a bit hard, seemingly overdone, and a glorified chicken Kiev, and the burger was also quite tough and overdone, and dry because of it. I dare not try a slice of their tray bake at over £5 for a slice, it was no longer reasonable.

Nice, good sized garden centre. Prices on plants and garden supplies here are more reasonable when compared to other garden centres. The food from the counters initially looks a little expensive but the taste and the quality makes it worth it.

Lovely garden centre. Plants good and reasonably priced. Great clothes and delivfull of delicious looking fruit and veg and other treats. Toys, garden furniture. Aquatics shop with interesting fish and tanks. Good overall atmosphere. Have not tried the cafe but always seems very full so assume it is very good.

I gave 5 stars to atmosphere as I did only visited place for the "pint" with my colleagues. We done it in a early evening, was a lot of sun... I wouldn't mind to have more of the big umbrellas for the table, actually. Member of staff were collecting empty glasses (thanks! ). We were sitting in the garden. However, there are couple of tables in front of the building and I'd personally prefer to occupy those tables ...there's more cozy.

Always enjoy visiting here for something to eat and drink, usually breakfast items such as a bacon and egg roll, scrambled eggs on toast. Food quality is always very good, and I think the staff there are excellent. Polite, friendly and always very helpful. Visit about two or three times a month. We have bought plants, bags of peat or compost, and I like the collection of greeting cards for sale. Always good to spend the money accumulated on the Loyalty card.

£9 pounds for 3 cold takeaway sausage rolls at 4pm. Rip off. didn't display the price either hence ended up buying it as the guy had packed already. His friendly attitude doesn't cool the pain of such waste of money.

Sunday lunch. Loads of well cooked veg and tender meat. Only criticism was the vast amount of thick (bland) gravy poured over the entire meal. Would have preferred a gravy boat so could choose how much gravy to have. Unfortunately the gravy dominated all the other flavours - other wise would have been a delicious Sunday Roast. At £20 a head I would have expected delicious (non-generic) gravy that compliments the meal. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for ! Lots of warm sticky toffee sauce and a light and delicious sponge , and some lovely vanilla ice cream ! Staff were lovely , service quick and efficient. Lovely ambience. Minor tweak with the gravy recipe / and a gravy boat and would have been top marks !

Just wanted to thank Nikos, Hayleigh and the team at Lot 25 for looking after us so well at the Wake we have just held there at the café. The treated us with compassion and understanding from the first meeting to organise everything and kept us fully posted up to the day, where they looked after our group of over 100 family and friends so incredibly well. A superb venue, lovely staff and lovely food, thank you.
