Costa Coffee in South Cambridgeshire

The staff are always polite and the place was spotless.

Great facility in a really handy location (side note, probably not Costa related, but this site badly needs EV chargers). Loses stars for me because we stopped especially as I had a voucher for a free cake for my birthday and was told it wasn’t valid on anything gluten free. I can’t eat gluten, so this was deeply unhelpful and left me feeling worse than if I hadn’t had the voucher in the first place! (Update, Costa’s customer service on Twitter apologised and gave me a free drink because I was misinformed – but I still don’t get my cake! Boo)

A Costa that made me the best mango bubble frappe , the best one I've ever had !

Visited on a busy Saturday morning. Very well stocked, plenty of staff. Tables were being cleared and cleaned. All staff were great and the Barista took a lot of care and made a great coffee. A very well run store. 👍

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Esme in particular, her customer service is unmatched. :)

Stopped here while travelling back from family and we had our dog with us. Luckily just outside on the slip road for the drive through Costa is a grassed area allowing a toilet stop for our Cavapoo. It is always disappointing that you can't take a dog into Costa ( how do you get a drink when on your own) luckily we were able to split the visits inside to select & order. There is shaded seating so keeping our dog cool but no water bowls for dogs 😢. Staff were happy to give a PLASTIC cup of water but why no sustainable dog water bowls. This is something all Costa's could do especially in service areas like this one.

I went to Costa today (22/8/24) and I was breastfeeding my baby and the lovely lady with brown hair and I think she had glasses on, brought me a glass of water without me even asking which was so thoughtful and kind. I didn’t get the chance to thank her but it meant a lot.

Food and drink good, although food choice was severely limited. Why O Why are all the staff completely oblivious to all of the tables not being cleared. At Costa prices is too much to ask for the customers not to have to clear and clean the table before they can sit down?

Quite the antithesis of the Starbucks up the road! (Which was dreadful!) No queue. Clean, cool, tidy and with good service. Tasty tostie. Could do with more loos, though.

Fresh coffee for when your on the road with this drive thru site the store can get a bit crowded at times but you can find a seat when its busy. There is an outside area when for when its sunny/fair weather. The parking area is shared with the other units on the site and the few mobility bays are dotted around the site. There is some off site street parking on the old road next to the site (do so your own risk ok if someone can pop in and return when the sites very busy) mobility parking bays are shared with the other units on site so can be limited or hard to find on a busy day. ANPR time limit is 120 minutes or see staff if you do need more time

Outstanding quick service! Incredibly clean

I lost my wallet (middle April), but the amazingly kind staff just kept it safe until I came back to find it after two days. I really want to give them 10 stars for services.

Always so so slow and appalling attitude. Wouldn’t comment but it happens every time here! Sorry but a smile and an apology goes a long way when you’ve literally dawdled and then served coffee that’s clearly been sat around for an age!

The young girl this morning couldn’t even look at me let alone say good morning. Stacking bottles of drink completely ignored me. When she finally served me with an oat flat white, it was almost cold and probably the worst coffee I had ever been served. My sausage bap was almost cold as well.

It's not the best Costa I have used. However, coffee was good. Tea is not so good. It was an ideal place for a meet up.

Always friendly staff, great service, Unfortunately, and ABSOLUTELY NO FAULT OF COSTA, the landlord has now impossed a 2 hour max parking limit, so using this as a stop over for meetings . Coffee and food is now a no-go. Most morning / afternoon meetings on route can last 3-4 hours. So, sorry, a lot of us will now have to find a different venue to have meetings, food, and coffee, which will damage Costa, which is totally out of their control and will damage their business and turnover, such a shame 😢

I met a couple of friends and my sister for lunch and a catch up. We have done now 3 weekends on the trot. My friend has just received a parking ticket for a £100. I think its a disgrace that this happens while spending money there.

Quiet stop, not a packed out lunch time. I had the steak and cheese toastie, which has a spicy kick, cappuccino and costa latte can, for a tenner it’s about right for service station restaurant stop.

my daughter is blind and dyslexic she came for a coffee turned out they are closed as always, even though it said it closed at 7. i had to get a mcdonald’s coffee but there blending machine was broken as usual so it was terrible. necer coming back again. appalling

Took them 10mins to make a coffee, and there was only one person in front of me. They were giving priority to the drive through.

I was served by the lovely lady Esme yesterday . The coffee was well presented. She was lovely and polite. Very impressed by the service she gave :)

Stopped during a motorbike ride to warm up as was a little cold - lovely cappuccino and raspberry and almond slice 😋 Had to wait a while as only one barista and the lady in front of me had ordered lots of “fancy” coffees, toasts, - hence 4 stars

Lovely experience at the drive thru, really happy with the girl serving not sure her name but she had a tattoo on her arm and she's a credit to their store really lucky to have her, good friendly service is really rare these days, didn't even realise I needed cheering up only after I felt better, thank you xx

Drive through today in between home visits. Surprisingly quick service compared to how it usually is. Looking forward to a gingerbread latte which I started to drink a few miles down the road. Really looking forward to it but it was awful. Syrup left a terrible aftertaste in my mouth and left me feeling a bit ill. Server must have used sugar free syrup which I very did not ask for. Either that or the recipe has been changed. Disgusting and a waste of £3.40.

On Sunday- drive thru closes at 17:00, everything else (dine in, takeaway without a car) closes at 16:00

Drive through service is usually good but on this occasion it was slow and they got the order wrong. Not much to say really, it's a decent ish coffee and much the same as you'd get in any other Costa.

It's essentially the same as every other Costa services, good quality at a slightly premium price. Food choices were a bit limited but I guess we blame the pandemic for that and cut them a break. We didn't sit in because let's face it, ain't nobody got time for sitting around at home for two weeks because someone we didn't see or interact with in any way came in the same building five hours after we did then tested positive two days later. OK, rant over. *Wipes angry froth from lips*.

Coffee was great. However the £60 car parking fine was despicable.

DO NOT GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH. We waited for over 30 minutes for our two drinks. People in front were having one or two drinks. Awful customer service. We were only told there was a problem with one of the machines once we got to the payment window. It was unacceptable!

Pain in the backside that it's hard to see how many are in drive through queue until you commit to the lane. Dropped in for quick (!) Coffee and ages later got served. If I had known it was going to take that long I wouldn't have bothered.

Excellent service whether using the facility or drive-thru. Staff are pleasant and if items are unavailable always provide a reason. Not specific to this Costa but if taking away skip the cream you get much more coffee/hot choc!

Often shut when the website says it's open.

Service is a little on the slow side. Even with out queues. Sometimes you get the coffee beans in the drink. Making it bitty and crunchy.

Queued for approximately ten minutes or so on a recent, busy Saturday mid-morning. Ordered a large black americano with an extra shot and it came in under 3 GBP which is good value for money. I generally enjoy Costa’s coffee and often buy ground bags of their products for home use.

Sorry but it was disgusting. Glasses were dirty. Little cups used for pouring the shots of coffee were filthy, hadn't been cleaned and were not rinsed when used. Tables were not clean. Would not recommend, sorry.

It may be a small link in a nationwide chain but this Costa always strikes us as a cut above the rest.

The barista had dog hair completely covering his Costa work wear fleece....hygiene standards terrible.

Place looks a bit messy. Usual high Costa prices for OK coffee. Busy car park with max 2 hours free parking. Costa used to extend this on request, but no more!

I was really impressed by the service today. I let staff know about my allergies and the manager couldn't have been kinder and accommodating. He checked my food for me and made sure there was no cross contamination with my drink. Thank you for being so helpful.

Had no idea that I'd receive a parking fine for £100 for being a customer here for more than 2 hours. Someone I meet up with here also received the same fine, so that's £200 between us. There is apparently signs in the car park, but it was dark and we didn't notice them. The Costa staff didn't mention the 2 hour limit either. It would have been helpful if this Costa had a sign at the entrance to warn customers.

After spending my money in Caxton costa I received a £100 parking fine for overstaying the 2 hour poorly signed time restriction by 4 minutes. Very easy to do as 2 hours isn’t a long time to have coffee with friends. Costa have refused to help in any way. Disgraceful! I will not be returning. I believe Starbucks has much better coffee anyway.

Do not meet a friend here if there is any danger you will run over the 2 hour parking allowance. Issued with a large fine from MET Parking who are a bunch of money grabbing crooks. I appealed to Costa better nature on the basis that have spent quite a lot of money here but to no avail. Store is also filthy and customer service very slow which eats into parking allowance.

Great staff, the hot chocolate is gorgeous. My only complaint is they are a bit slow on cleaning the tables & removing the dirty crockery & trays.

Staff are very helpful, they will happily carry your order for you if you have a hidden disability. Always clean, great place to meet with friends as cool in summer. Airy and light structure.

Slow service and toilets out of order

It was cold - felt like air con was on or temp low and fan set high. Several customers sat with coats on. Mentioned it to the barrista on the till, she acknowledged it but was very busy to do anything. Staff pleasant, coffee very good as usual but warmer in the car!
