Costa Coffee in South Cambridgeshire

Easy to get to as you can park right outside the door, staff are very welcoming and friendly and the service is very quick and efficient. I would recommend a visit.

A quick cup of coffee required. Plus a tasty bacon roll. Sauce offered. At lunchtime. Lovely staff who are always helpful

This Costa is now dog friendly. Coffee and cake was good as always, but was pleased to find out that you can now take your dog inside. Especially good to know as we head into the winter.

When I came in there were two amazing girls on shift a blonde and a curly haired brunette both were so friendly thank you guys !

Went into Costa ordered 2 latte's both were just warm went back up to complain the face on the assistant was to die for and wasn't to happy about it so they bought 2 more over but they were exactly the same so drunk them straight down as they were warm again and left

I would like to thank Costa Coffee Bar Hill for being so filthy dirty so I could use the photos to send to my staff for staff training. In fairness, my team were totally shocked that we even stopped and ordered anything!!!! Outside strewn with litter, tables full of dirty cups, plates and ashtrays. Dirty tables. Sign on door stating No Dogs allowed except for guide dogs and yet there was a dog sat on the chairs inside. I could understand if it had been busy, however, 5 people inside and 3 people outside. Come on Costa.... sharpen your staff training up a bit!

What has happened to the gluten free cakes at Costa. They have disappeared. Love Costa coffee but would really like something g to eat with it.

The employees should be more polite and nice, and should make the drinks correctly

Lovely service, thank you. I only have one thing I'm not too happy about, that's you don't have much choice in vegan baps. In fact it's only one in the few times I've been in it was the vegan sausage bap. More choice would make me go mo often.

A standard Costa - over priced in reality but convenient

They are really quite rude. They participate in the Too Good to Go scheme but do not stick to the advertised collection time - I arrived at the very beginning of the collection slot and they told me they had already put the mystery bag I had lid for in the bin and they close earlier than advertised. Sorrythen correct it in the app or don’t participate. They didn’t care at all that they had wasted my time.

Nice place to have coffees and sandwiches. I really liked the coffee. Had a very nice carrot and walnut cake with a latte this time.

Went in to order a cappuccino and an iced latte to be told they had no ICE. Very disappointed as I didn’t have a drink but hubby still had a cappuccino

Popped in for a quick drink and was greeted by a very friendly member of staff. We both tried a festive hot chocolate options, which was tasty and we didn't have to wait long for it to be made. The cafe itself had a slightly less welcoming and cosy atmosphere compared to others of the chain, I think in part due to the brightness of the lights and also because most of seats were hard wooden chairs and tables, with only a couple of more comfortable armchair options.

Nice cuppa tea and cinnamon bun whilst I waited for my tyres to be replaced nearby. Can't fault really.

I thought the idea was to achieve the same experience across the whole of any given brand. So it's difficult to create a particular atmosphere in a chain or franchise.

I was served by genuinely the nicest person I've ever met... Often you go to 'chain' coffee shops and the staff are disinterested but the barista (didn't catch his name, but says Josh on the receipt) was super friendly and helpful, and a credit to Costa.

Love this Costa and the team are both very efficient and friendly.

One of the better smaller ones. A few vgn savory options at least (unlike Huntingdon, Cromer etc). Faster service. But very few plug points and dark towards the back

First time at this Costa, unfortunately the coffee was very watery and not drinkable. I have put in a complaint.

Usually this Costa is fairly good, but recently I have switched to decaf for health reasons and it’s the worst decaf I’ve ever tasted.

It's ok your usual run of the mill Costa coffee shop.

I am a fan of costa anyway but. Bar hill is fantastic, friendly staff always clean and well kept. Somehow my usual caramel latte just tastes better from here than anywhere else. If you're in bar hill I highly recommend a visit

I have been waiting outside for 1/2 hour with two members of staff sat inside staring at customers walking up to door. It’s advertised as opening at 7am, nothing on door saying different not very good customer service to me

Came here to meet up with two friends. Lovely choice of cakes & plenty of seating to sit down & enjoy cakes & coffee. We were there a bit longer than intended but no bother from staff.

Hot coffee. Sat outside and friend went in so cant comment on procedures personally, she seemed satisfied and as she quite picky assume they met all criteria. Only 2 tables available due to distancing, shame about the couple who took 2 unoccupied chairs and obstructed the pavement but not cafes fault

A fairly standard Costa layout. Sadly the coffee quality is poor compared with all the other Costa's we have tried. It's a shame as this one used to be quite good.

Llamé a las 8:30 am pidiendo 24 cafés para nuestro negocio para una reunión a las 9 am (¡después de todo es el Día Internacional del Café!). El equipo ni siquiera parpadeó y los cafés estaban listos a las 8:45. Excelente servicio y no puedo quejarme de ellos.

The staff recommend a new coffee which was enjoyed thoroughly...relaxed afternoon in a quite peacrful space...it was clean and health and safety measures in place especially around this new Era of CV19

Went to this one about 4 times when we stayed the weekend in Bar Hill. Lovely friendly staff who made you really welcome.

My husband and I got two mint choc chip Fristinos this morning and when we home noticed there was a funny smell coming from the cups. On further investigation we noticed the cream on top smelt like old cheese and had clearly expired. Not happy as we had been drinking it on the way home.

It used to be great, the recent staff are very robotics.. Souless

What a wonderful team! By far the best Costa I have been to. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the manager is lovely! The premises are always clean and tidy, there is plenty of space to move around and children are welcome however there are only two high chairs. The food and drinks are always good and made as you like, if there is ever a problem with your order they won't hesitate to re-make it for you! If only all Costa shops were like this one. The manager really has a fantastic team and they work together very well to provide a friendly local service.

Realmente no estoy impresionado. Falsas mesas en el exterior con marica terminadas por todas partes. No en algún lugar me gustaría sentarme a tomar un café. El café no era particularmente bueno en cuanto a Costas tampoco. El servicio era lento y, para ser sincero, no me sentía dispuesto a quedarme mucho tiempo. Le daré a esto la próxima vez.

Great coffee before and after a shopping trip to Tesco. A great friendly service with a smile, clean and comfortable seating area. Plenty of parking as expected with the Tesco superstore.

Stopped here at the weekend, they had run out of the Christmas special, however we were served with a smile and a sense of humour even though the chap had been on the go for many hours

Always like their toasted tuna & cheese baguettes and a cup of cappucino.

After a change in job and location, instead of going to the lovely St Ives, Cambridge store I now go to the Bar Hill store. Now I love Costa and being a bit of an addict go daily, you know what your going to get, the décor is virtually the same and the customer service and friendliness is great. Due to this normal feeling you get in a Costa this store is a big surprise. You do not get the same friendly feel as you walk in the door, most staff are nice however one gentleman in there (wont name him on here) I feel is very rude, even to his colleagues! I know he is not English however he always talks to himself in his language so you never know what he is saying or if it's to you. I find it very rude and am surprised the management has not done anything. I go to this store everyday and can see some customers feel awkward and do not like his customer service. I have now emailed Costa to make them aware as this I feel is affecting the stores sales. Most drinks I feel are served OK the only thing I've had is the frostino's do not taste the same as other stores I feel they are more watery. If they sorted out the unfriendly gentleman the store would be much better.

Normally expect Costas to be much the same as each other, but this one couldn't meet the normal standard when we went in this weekend. Very poor service, I waited about 15 minutes, even though the place was fairly quiet. The barrista didn't seem to care - not friendly, no communication. We ordered strawberry whips, but were very disappointed in the quality, just tasteless and watery in comparison to other Costas where we've had them. With so many choices at the Cambridge Extra Services, I won’t be back at this Costa.

Over priced bakewell was shoddy with weak piss poor tea, at least the staff were pleasant

Costa is Costa and they’re all pretty much the same, however, today’s flat white was poor. Tasting more of hot milk than coffee the barrista couldn’t care less when he spilled some into the saucer. He also didn’t notice my wife had asked for a ‘skinny’ flat white, acknowledging her only by making the correct drink and with no eye contact, words or friendliness. It’s fair to say I think Costa’s standards have been on the slide, but I won’t be back here.

Last customer of the day. Ordered an Ice Cuppuccino and got a glass of cold water with a hint of coffee. YUK someone needs to tell Costa how to make Iced Coffee.. Thai Style.

Fine for a quick drink near Tesco superstore. One member of staff couldn't understand either myself or husband which was tricky. Problem with flush button in the toilets...apparently 'again'.

I think Bar Hill Costa is the best Costa I have visited and I have been to loads over the years. Good decor, and seating, engaging staff and of course good coffee.
