There was literally 30 people in the queue! Management obviously needs to pull a finger out and get more staff if needed. I walked out

Coffee was lovely, the lady serving was lovely. But the bacon in the roll has to be of the most cheapest, unpalatable and rancid garbage. Took one bite and left the rest. H+H Head-office - please source quality over profit !

I popped into the café after shopping and was impressed at the selection of food and coffee available, even though it's takeaway only at the moment, all at reasonable prices. There was plenty of information about the coffee (its origins, tastes, strength, etc.) and the member of staff recommended what he thought would be best for my preference (he was spot on - lovely coffee!). The café was spotless and there were all Covid safety measures in place. The member of staff that served me deserves a special mention (didn't catch his name). He was extremely friendly, happy, and helpful, but also he took time to have a pleasant and in depth conversation with an elder customer who seemed very appreciative of his time. So nice to see this in the difficult times in which many people are facing loneliness. Well done.

As usual staff are peasant, friendly, outgoing and professional. Ok its situated within a large Tesco Extra so you get a lot of tannoy noise but the coffee, for me, is the best around. Good range of cakes, rolls etc - so don’t miss it!!!!!

Harris and Hoole never fails to impress. Staff are friendly, chatty and professional. Wait for service is generally short and the coffee is smooth, full of flavour and better than most of the other coffee shops around. Food is tasty and varied and the group is finally trying to offer food for those with allergies etc. One gripe - last time I was there, I sat near the washing area - which proved the6 had a problem with flies, which the staff didn't notice or if they did, ignored.

I went with me husband for a quick drink before our tesco shop on saturday 07.09.2019 and the girl who served me seemed rude. I asked for a tea, small cappuccino and a small cookie. She put me order into the till and then asked me if I wanted anything else which I replied - no thank you, she then asked me a second time if I wanted anything else, I think inferring that I did really want more than a small cookie. I think she was rude making feel that I didn't know my own mind. I said no thank you once more. The person who made the drink was lovely and friendly.

If you fancy a good cup of coffee while travelling on the A14 this is a great place to stop. The service is friendly and there is a good selection of cakes and sandwiches. The cappuccino I ordered was super smooth and at the correct temperature. I was served my drink within 2 minutes and given an apology for the wait. I will return soon!

I find the staff are always friendly here and it’s far better than the upstairs Tesco cafe (by a long shot) however on the last two occasions the coffee has been weak and milky which is a shame. I also find the layout strange and would suggest moving the coffee machines inside the actual catering service point to improve productivity.

The best coffee shop you’ll find in a supermarket. The coffee is superb, both my wife’s latte and my Flat White were of the highest quality although my advise is to ask for extra hot - the restaurant makes it clear that they don’t put boiling milk on their coffee to enhance the taste but my call is that coffee should be hot. Lovely ambience and great lounge chairs plus the background music played is great if you like 70s and 80s hits. One of my favourite coffee shops.

Visited this cafe on a Sunday afternoon on the way south on the A1. It’s situated just inside the Tesco store and is a little quirky compared to your aveagre supermarket cafe. We only had tea, which is served in chunky colourful teapots with matching cups. Unusual but a bit chunky for my taste and the tea wasn’t that hot, but handy place to stop off en route on A1 and better value than most of the service areas.

Situated at the entrance to Tesco, this spacious cafe is nonetheless above the usual supermarket coffee shop standard. There's an interesting selection of baked goods and toasted sandwiches, and so it is a good choice for a light lunch or afternoon tea or coffee and cake. Not enough variety in the food for lunch - some salads even pre-prepared in the chiller, would be a welcome addition. Decor is rather bland and lacking in character but given the limitations of the location it is pleasant enough and the chairs are comfortable. Coffee standard is good and there are often seasonal special flavours available. The cafe has a small children's play area with toys and is well used by families. The staff are generally friendly and pleasant.

Could be quite a pleasant coffee shop, but unfortunately it is very overpriced even for the Cambridge area. £2.65 for a rather ordinary scone or a muffin is just a rip off.

Coffee is lovely when made by someone who know what they're doing. If made by someone who is being rushed or not skilled then there is a massive chance the coffee will be very dissapointing and overpriced.

We came across this place when dropping in to Tesco's at Bar Hill to pick up some provisions for dinner - what a present surprise. The flat white coffee was very tasty (rather fruity to taste) and the somewhat 'odd' location did not detract from our enjoyment after a couple of days without a high quality coffee. We left very happy!

Okay I can appreciate good food and good coffee- I am quite the coffee snob but I do feel as though this 'speciality' coffee shop really fails to deliver. The staff look overworked, tired, disinterested, unhappy and fed up. Fail to see how a chain which charges four pounds for a coffee can't afford to hire happy smiling staff. My coffee tasted very milky so I asked for an extra shot which resulted in a drink so acidic I could not swallow it. Come on! Seemed that the assistants were left to their own devices whilst the managers are sitting on their backsides out of sight. You keep trying to sell yourself as speciality coffee but really you are on the same par as Costa and Starbucks- except they have bigger sizes for less!

I recently popped in just for a coffee and if i am truly honest i wish i had gone elsewhere. The staff are not very polite and they didn't seem interested in anything going on around them. Why Tesco replaced the old coffee shop to this is totally beyond me. The coffee i had wasn't even hot. This was one experience i would rather forget.

I cannot fathom Tescos decision to remove their old cafe which was quick and easy to feed my son after shopping. To replace it with this awful chain makes it worse. After being told that the cafe upstairs was closed (at 3pm??!), we tried Harris & Hoole. Whilst the food was OK, there was little choice and the staff are terrible. I saw not one but two staff members busy texting away on their phones, including the young girl behind the till. It took her a moment to realise we were standing there waiting. She had her phone on the counter behind the till! Then the 'barista' serving the drinks spent the entire time chatting to her friend whilst making drinks. The friend continued to lean on the counter, or occupy one nearby table despite not buying anything throughout the entire time we are there. I assumed this was all happening as there was no sign of any manager about, and these young members of staff had been left to their own debices, but she then appeared as we were leaving. I cannot believe a manager would allow this sort of thing. It looks so bad.To top it off, there was rather unpleasant banging dance music playing, and the tea was not that nice. Really horrible place, will not come back.

The Tesco Superstore at Bar Hill has a "Harris and Hoole" coffee bar/cafe which has a good selection of coffees and teas available and a limited range of pastries and sandwiches. The toasted breakfast roll was good and a reasonable price. I would return for the food but the staff need serious overhaul and management attention. All three of the staff were primaily focussed on their mobile phones. It was a challenge to get them interested in serving and leaving the customer table they occupied. Tesco as a company is in a well publicised mess and unless they start to organise their staff more effectively, they will never recover.

My wife and I went to this lovely pub with our dog for dinner. We booked a table in the bar area which is a real cosy bar. Everyone in the bar and the bar staff were so friendly. We sat there for a couple of hours having a drink plus dinner. The food was great, especially the home made pie. We will definitely return.
