The best restaurants serving Default food in Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

I have not visited this tea room for a while but I brought my elderly mother for lunch. The staff were much improved. The owners use very young people at front of house but the two on this visit were much more professional than my last visit. The food was good, the fire was lit. It was busy and a good atmosphere. We were not disappointed and will return. One point to make is that the approach path from the carpark is covered in wet leaves and is very slippy. My mother was nervous walking. It actually looked unkempt. Easily put right. Well done to the youngsters serving and well done to a varied menu. Much nicer than some of the nearby coffee shops.

Took a chance as we don’t know the area. Popped in on a Wednesday night without booking. Received a very warm welcome, although had to pop to Morrisons for a bottle wine as it isn’t licenced. No big deal. The food was really really good. Shame I can’t go back although I definitely will if I am in the area again. Bill was £96 for the four of us which I did t think was bad.

Nuestras nietas hicieron la selección de su propia langosta y estaba mal cocinado ($ 89 desperdiciado!). Sus bebidas son baratas tipo crucero de bebidas. El ambiente era de mal humor de todos los empleados excepto cuando hablaban con un amigo suyo sentado en otra mesa. Queríamos volver a Red Lobster, pero esto fue un gran accidente. Tan triste. ¿Dónde está la dirección?

Llamé para la comida y bebida todo fue increíble el servicio fue perfecto recomendaría al 100% alojarse para la música en vivo y no fue decepcionado un solo crédito a la zona local

Lovely visit at this cafe which was almost empty when we went in, and turning people away before we left. Excellent service from the waitress who even remembered our drinks order from a previous visit.

My elderly mother has asked me to leave a review for her. Visited tambo lounge Saturday morning all the way from wales. She had a very good experience being served by Tessa (I think that’s the right name) Very friendly and helped her with her bespoke tea requirement. Kind serving staff really elevates the experience of being out. Well done , she will be back.

Overpriced and underwhelming coffee. This isn't unique to this particular Costa. It's the same level at all of them unfortunately. My advice is always to go local and support local businesses first when wanting a caffeine fix 😊

First time I ordered a takeaway and my order was not accepted and declined as informed by Just Eat. Ordered well before 4pm but took until gone 6pm for them to decline.

The most disgusting curry we have ever had It was a treat but couldn’t finish it Chicken tikka masala was full of coconut!?! My veg Balti had sprouts in ?!?! Onion bhajis dry Will not be returning

I love this Indian takeaway, I would like to thank the chef for a wonderful vegetarian meal lovely flavours. Meals are good portions, 🤪 excellent service from all staff. A 100% happy customer.

My only regret is that I haven’t dropped at this restaurant after driving past so many times. The food is brilliant and stands out against many other curry houses I’ve frequented. The menu is diverse and interesting as well as featuring firm favourites. The peshwari naan was particularly enjoyable and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

We visited SCOOZI PIZZERIA on Wednesday night for a light bite before the Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight Concert at Southwell Minster. What a find!!! The restaurant, the staff, the lovely atmosphere, the service and the food were all absolutely gold standard exceptional. A freshly cooked Pizza using a rainbow of fresh vegetables, spiced and seasoned exactly to our liking, served piping hot. It was obvious that SCOOZI is very, very popular in the area, as the takeaway custom was constant. My husband maintains that his Pizza was the best he had ever enjoyed. We will definitely be going back, making the trip just to visit SCOOZI. Thankyou to you all *****
