Scoozi in Newark and Sherwood

We visited SCOOZI PIZZERIA on Wednesday night for a light bite before the Fleetwood Mac by Candlelight Concert at Southwell Minster. What a find!!! The restaurant, the staff, the lovely atmosphere, the service and the food were all absolutely gold standard exceptional. A freshly cooked Pizza using a rainbow of fresh vegetables, spiced and seasoned exactly to our liking, served piping hot. It was obvious that SCOOZI is very, very popular in the area, as the takeaway custom was constant. My husband maintains that his Pizza was the best he had ever enjoyed. We will definitely be going back, making the trip just to visit SCOOZI. Thankyou to you all *****

We had the best service from Scoozi for a big takeaway/delivery to the Farmhouse at Norwood Park. We had a wide variety of pizzas, which were excellent, with delicious ingredients and arrived with us fresh from the pizza oven. We would definitely try the restaurant if we were in the area again.

Last minute visit. Lovely staff, great Pizza and burger. Lively vibe in a relaxed setting. We will certainly be going again.

This was a beautiful rustic eat in experience, smart casual attire is ideal. The staff and the authentic based pissa were absolutely fabulous. We went for our anniversary and the food was amazing. The bar staff who served us first was so polite (sorry I did not get your name) and the waitress who served us at our table was called Sophia, and she clearly explained everything to us, and as equally as polite. One constructive feedback, there was no garlic bread available when we visited on a Saturday night and the cheesecake and tiramusi was sold out. However, we asked for cheesy garlic dough balls that weren't on the menu and these were served for us as an alternative, and the remaining desserts on offer were fabulous. We will be definitely visiting again, the food was delicious, the best pizza I've ever tasted, the base was incredible! Thank you so much for making our anniversary celebrations so special. Discovered this place back in April when we got married. So came back. Service was good, food was very tasty although my wife's pizza wasn't exactly what she ordered. Apart from that can't fault. Reasonable priced both food and drink. Would highly recommend that you pre book if looking to dine in.

Excellent restaurant for a casual pizza. The thin-crust pizzas were as good as we have had anywhere. The atmosphere is very informal and the staff friendly and helpful but is the deliciousness of the pizzas which stands out.

Excellent service and lovely pizza. I ordered 26 pizzas for a celebration, and the staff/owners were helpful and friendly on the phone and in person. Pizza was lovely and we all enjoyed it. Thank you very much 😊

Came across this place accidentally and oh my god so glad we did! The freshest tastiest pizza we have ever had, great value for money, very friendly helpful staff and fast service!We will defiantly be back at least once a week, absolutely love it !

I wiil be disappointed with all future Pizzas after enjoying my chorizo/ham pizza at Scoozi's Service too was excellent.

We went to Scoozi specifically because they advertise the availability of gluten free pizza on their leaflets. I have coeliac disease and am severely intolerant of gluten. Thankfully my husband checked when ordering. Their staff are clearly clueless about the impact of gluten on people with both CD or gluten intolerance as they think it’s okay to serve up a gluten free base which has been cooked and prepared with normal wheat based pizzas. The server tried saying this would be acceptable for someone who was “only gluten intolerant”. I would like to know why they think it is acceptable to pay for a meal which is mislabelled and leaves you feeling bloated and sick at best, and with severe diarrhoea and vomiting at worst. Please educate yourselves and remove your misleading advertising. A pizza which has been cooked alongside wheat pizza bases and contaminated with wheat flour is NOT gluten free. We left and had a lovely gluten free meal at the Admiral Rodney which I can highly recommend

Life throws many obstacles in your way so whenever we have a time to celebrate we pop to a local child friend restaurant.This time is was the exchange of contracts on our house, yay!We always end up in the window seats and I tend to go wild on ordering far too much, however we eat it all!The family and I always love it here. Good service, great selection of drinks for the kids (about 10 varieties of Fanta!!) And good food.I'm not saying it is the best pizza I have ever eaten or that the onion rings are fresh or the fries are twice cooked. But what I am saying is that it is enjoyable and for Southwell a good option. Never a complaint.

Really don’t know why Scoozi doesn’t feature higher on the list of local restaurants. This has become our go to place when our family are all together. With 3 hungry teenager, 2 grandparents and 4 regular adults Scoozi offers something for all of us without breaking the bank. Lovely fresh food, quick friendly service and spotlessly clean restaurant. It’s also perfect for those nights you can’t be bothered to cook!!

We received a very friendly welcome on a mid-week evening. The menu has plenty of excellent choices and we had excellent pizzas. We heard another customer say it was the best pizza he had had in a long time, we can only agree.

I came with my friends and the whole experience was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional! would definitely recommend!

Went there tonight for the first time. Had been tempted for a while but hadn't had the time before, sadly. The two ladies serving tonight were really helpful and friendly, could see my order was cooked fresh and it didn't take too long to finish. Food was delicious and really enjoyed it. Will be going back again sometime.

Had a take-away pizza from here last night on our way back from Nottingham. It was the carne miste pizza amd we ate every bite! Great food - highly recommended

My dear friend took me to this lovely pizzeria to have a small dinner on a cold night. We were greeted by 2 lovely ladies on the front. Ordered our food and voila! Delicious pizza, haloumi cheese and pasta to our delight! This place is perfect for friends and families who wish to have a nice chat over dinner. Service was impeccable and humble. Highly recommended! Will come back soon

I visited on a Tuesday evening with a group of friends and we loved the friendly welcome we received. All our whims and quirks were catered for as if they were no problem at all. A great place to come with friends to sit and chat over dinner, share a variety of trad pizzas and have a very decent glass Pinot. Loved it.

We had only one meal there, but it was very good. Nice small bistro, very convenient location. Definitely worth visiting.

Visited Scoozi after a day at the races and a few drinks in Southwell. Anchovy pizza was very tasty, Halloumi sticks were huge and fantastic, the wife's veggie burger was nothing to shout about but that's usually the case everywhere!! Only real downside for me was no draught beer or lager but had decent choice of bottled lager, wines etc

Called in here for an evening meal. The service was very friendly and welcoming, my pizza arrived within 5 minutes of ordering it (there were about three tables occupied), and it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Came to Scoozi's after hearing recommendations and receiving their leaflet through the door. After scanning the leaflet I noticed one of their 'vegetarian' options had chicken strips in, which should have warned me. Although visited anyway, and enquired about vegan options (as they also suggest at the bottom of their menus they can cater to allergens). The lady offered myself a pasta option with no cheese, which I happily ordered, as well as a hawaiian pizza for my boyfriend. We were both very excited for our meals. However, on arrival I noticed my pasta had meatballs on top. Got my boyfriend to try the meatball just to ensure it wasn't actual meat. Then went to check with the waitress.

15 of us came here for a meal prior to a concert at the Cathedral. Booked and ordered in advance due to time constraints and all worked out perfectly. The food was lovely, arrived on time, no issues with accommodating GF or vegetarian and would be more than happy to return,

The food looked and tasted great, the surroundings were very pleasant, as were the staff. The price modest and not too expensive for a dedicated cuisine type (Italian pizzeria).

First visit last week to this pizza restaurant and I wouldn't visit again. Firstly the pizzas are overpriced and secondly both of our pizza bases were undercooked!! As well

Took my grand daughters here for a treat. Far from it. No atmosphere, limited choice of food. Decor bright and cheerful but food certainly was not. Even my 7and 5 year old grand daughters were disappointed. Probably a good venue for children's party.

Great venue for an early evening family meal. Not too busy so pizzas and pastas came quite quickly. Kids meal deal was good value and a genuine meal rather than the kids alternative. 3 year old very happy.

He estado un par de veces en el último año y nunca tuvimos una mala comida o mala experiencia. Es siempre muy limpio, tiene un ambiente agradable, el menú no es extenso, pero no necesita ser - hacen lo que hacen muy bien, así que, ¿por qué ofrecer más. Es una gran relación calidad-precio, generalmente es siempre bastante concurrido, pero sabes lo que te van a dar, una buena experiencia a todos los niveles.

He comido comida china de la noche anterior mientras caminábamos por el centro de la ciudad de Manchester buscando en varios restaurantes, incapaz de decidir qué comer. Vimos Bella Italia, me gustó la opciones en el menú, así que nos fuimos. Inmediatamente fuimos recibidos por un miembro del personal y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Pedimos nuestra comida después de tomar los consejos de la camarera y cuando llego estaba caliente, bien presentado y muy sabroso. El personal era muy agradable y servicial, que realmente hizo de nuestra visita una experiencia fantástica. Sin duda, una gran opción, muy recomendado.

Sábado almuerzo en uno llamado, me impactó la decoración moderna y encantadora. Una encantadora señora nos enseñó nuestro asiento. El menú no era muy extenso pero era justo lo que queríamos para un almuerzo familiar. La comida llegó rápido y estaba delicioso, el menú infantil es muy razonable. Comí una pizza, deliciosa y mi marido tenía la Scoozi burger. Nuevo delicioso! La pizza de los niños era fabuloso. El único inconveniente fue que nuestra visita eran los únicos, es una pena, ya que es un lugar encantador.

Although the menu is quite limited I chose the lasagna and it didn't disappoint! Was really tasty and the staff made us feel so welcome thanks again for a lovely evening

Attending an event at Southwell Minster, we intended to lunch first in the refectory. We found it to be too busy and noisy so decided to walk up the road to find somewhere else and we happened upon this little pizzeria. We enjoyed a friendly welcome and good hot delicious food served promptly and cheerfully. It is likely we will return to the area in the future and will remember this little gem.

great food , great prices, Great, Staff especially Clair and Johnny . The atmosphere is great in the Manchester Piccadilly Branch its not like a franchise its more like a intimate Italian Restaurant .

Good food & really helpful staff. Overall a a most enjoyable lunch experience. We will definitely go back next time we are in Manchester.

Great place to take the family, very relaxed, great food, choices of pizza (many varieties), lasagne, burgers, salads etc. Quick service and always friendly. Great value and cheap drinks which is a winner when taking a family of 6 out.

Four of us ate here on spec one evening, mid-week. The service was good, the pizzas very good, and the price reasonable.

Visited Southwell by chance when driving through one evening. Stopped off for a bite to eat and stumbled across this little gem. Gorgeous little pizzeria. Get staff, clean establishment and fab food. Well worth a visit.

I love this place for a quick, pretty cheap meal with my son on an early evening, usually after school and before parents evening, football etc. Great food. Always served quickly too. Teenagers love it.

I have visited this restaurant with friends a few times and always enjoyed the food here. I pizza's are good value, along with the side orders such as coleslaw etc. The restaurant has a relaxed feel and seems to be very popular with families. If you are after fine dining then this will not be the place for you, but if you are after nice food at a good price in a lovely clean friendly restaurant this place is a very good choice.The staff are always very friendly and helpful and as my friends and I chat for ages we have been the last in the restaurant but the staff were in no rush to get us out.I look forward to returning soon.

We were really hopeful the food would be good as my daughter had asked to dine here. Disappointing quality of pizza looked and tasted like it had come out of a cheap supermarket. Huge potential given the locality but certainly needs some work.

I recommend this only for kids food or a quick take away meal.. I wouldn't choose to eat here again after giving it a few gos! But kids love it and it's fab for that, very busy over the weekend!

excellent italien. me and my husband have been coming here a lot recently and they offer great value for money. the food is always perfectly cooked and we always have the pizza americano large is that is always enough for us both to share. thank you very much to the staff for always making is feel very welcome

Great pizzas - very simple. You order at a counter and it isn't posh but the food is great and there is a good atmosphere.

Went here in June this year on a sat night. The place was not packed so excepted a good service. I ordered meatballs whilst my partner had ordered a pizza. When are order came I took a bite into the meatballs and they where stone cold. We complained to the staff and they replaced the meal although it wasn't until we got the second plate that I realised that not only where the first lot cold but they where also raw as the second lot where a lot more browner. This is a mistake that shouldn't have happened and what's worse is that I was three months pregant at the time of the vist and should not be any red meat unless well done. They offered us a refund but as we had already paid before the meal they said we could only have a gift voucher. Which is completely useless as I will not be returning here.

Great choices, prompt service making it great at lunch time. Fits the mould perfectly for kids/teens where sister restaurant The Piano would be to formal.

Southwell is crying out for more restaurants that serve in the evening. It's not the best pizza but it is ok and they do takeout too. Warm coke when given to takeaway so be sure to ask for it cold! Overpriced for the food on offer as its not gourmet but handy to have in Southwell

Went here last year for a takeaway pizza, I ordered a large pizza with fish topping, when I got home I discovered they had given me a small plain cheese pizza, I couldnt be bothered to go back to get a refund and I will never go again, complete ripoff!

A firm favourite with our Children, when it's a pizza attack they are after. The staff are warm and friendly and the owner extremely attentive. Pizza heaven, with smiles from the children, what more can a family want. Great place to relax, be well fed and have fun.

We visited here with 3 adults and 4 children. The restaurant its self is nice and clean. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The kids deal is well worth the money. The pizzas were lovely and we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. The only thing that would improve it would be if you got table service.

Really excellent food and would go back soon. Take away option is also really good. Beats Pizza Hut by several lengths and only on our doorstep.

If you want a quick polite service and tasty pizza this is the place to go. Fair priced friendly and clean. Will be back again.

Very nice to see a family run restaurant that is an instant hit. Been about 3 times to eat here and it is consistently good and very friendly...........could be a little more spacious, feels a bit cramped when all the tables are full. Pizza is so fresh my Italian friend said it was the best she had since being in England for 2 yrs! I can eat these pizzas without feeling stodgy' afterwards..Needs a bit more pudding choice thoughI hope they keep up this standard for so many start off well and then slowly cut back on the quality

A smart, stylish, modern and welcome addition to Southwell's generally bland restaurant offering (the lovely Mughal Rasoi being the exception). The staff were friendly and there are lots of choices of toppings - the place is just what the town needs ... EXCEPT the pizza bases are clearly not home made (too crispy and all the same size!). Without these we might just as well buy 'em frozen at the Coop or else travel a bit further to Pizza Express in Newark.This place - just what S'well needs - deserves to be a big success but without attention to this vital detail it could end up as another of Southwell's well intentioned flops.

Last minute decision to eat out, went here after a conversation with a colleague. Pleasantly surprises, brilliant atmosphere, excellent food, excellent and speedy service. It's all a bit no frills but nice and simple! Drinks a little expensive but otherwise a great dining experience. Just what Southwell needs! Well done!
