The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Scotland

Fuimos clientes muy regulares durante 30 años. Le hemos dado al restaurante algunas oportunidades desde el cambio de propietario que han sido decepcionantes, pero esta noche fue la última vez. Pedimos comida para llevar, que incluía ‘Chicken Mushroom’. Lo comprobamos dos veces por teléfono preguntando «¿no hay tuercas en nada de lo que hemos pedido?». Nos dijeron ‘no locos’. El plato de setas de pollo era para la persona con alergia a las nueces. Han probado este plato muchas veces durante muchos años. No teníamos razón para ser cautelosos. Rápidamente nos dimos cuenta de que el plato contenía anacardos. Demasiado tarde. La persona con alergia a los frutos secos había comido un anacardo. Luego pasamos varias horas ansiosos esperando que estuvieran bien. Llamamos al restaurante para decirles lo que había pasado. Se disculparon y dijeron que el error debe haberse cometido en la cocina. Definitivamente nos habían dado pollo con nueces de anacardo que está debajo de pollo y hongos en el menú. Esto no fue un anacardo pícaro en el plato equivocado. ¡Este fue el plato equivocado lleno de nueces! Si el error se cometió cuando se pasó el pedido a la cocina o el error se cometió en la cocina. Es simplemente inaceptable y el propietario debe tomar medidas para garantizar que esto nunca vuelva a suceder. Nunca volveremos en el restaurante y nunca pediremos comida para llevar - fuera. Es un triste final para una relación de larga data, pero The Loon Fung ya no es The Loon Fung de antaño.

¡La comida era repugnante! La sopa de maíz dulce de pollo estaba bien, el arroz sabe como si hubiera sido cocinado días antes el pato tenía grandes trozos de grasa con grandes trozos de piña fría arrojando sobre todos los pocos trozos de pato, el pato carecía de sabor y la textura era terrible. Los fideos estaban bien. Segunda peor comida china que he probado. Nunca más compraré comida de este restaurante.

Used for years never again advised staff of allergies repeated this numerous times. Meals were obviously not checked. Called to resolve and dealt with despicably. Worst customer care ever. Has rapidly gone downhill in the past few months. Avoid if you have any allergies.

Ordered from app which was accepted and money taken but when arrived at the premises all was locked up and closed so basically stole my money 😡

Got an order today picked it up from shop, boys serving were very polite. Takeaway 5 mins from home took out food and it was cold chips were the only thing to have a little warmth but that lasted all of 2mins very disappointed glad I only tried a small order as I would usually order big.

Muy decepcionante. Pedí una porción de pollo al curry y arroz frito y una bolsa de mini rollos de primavera. Eso llegó a 18 libras. 40 ! ! ! La comida tenía poco sabor. El pollo era masticable e insípido. No volverá.

The food was nice enough but just under £12 for a single Sweet and Sour meal with some chips is so expensive when I collected it myself, £3 in particular for second rate chips as an add on to a meal is too much - so I wouldn't return.

Bought lemon chicken and boiled rice but had to throw it away when I got home. The rice was hard and tasted ‘old’ like it was cooked yesterday. Half the chicken was ok but the rest had a strange taste and I didn’t want to risk food poisoning. There was also very little sauce. What a shame as I have visited this takeaway quite a few times over the years but I’m wondering if it’s changed hands? I phoned to let them know about the food and got no joy. Sadly I’ll not be driving the 20 mins to return and waste money on unpalatable food.

Ordered a plain chow mein, came with small pieces of chicken in - like it had been badly picked out of the dish. Called up to confirm because of allergies, they tried to gaslight me over the phone saying it was "mushroom". Why would mushroom be in plain chow mein anyway... That's still cross contamination and an allergen risk. Besides the point, it definitely was not mushroom, it was chicken.

Second time I have ordered from this Chinese. Never again. I got chicken and green peppers with black bean sauce. It was swimming in oil, no sauce as such. Shredded chicken with black beans spread over the top with a few onions and about 4 slices green pepper. It was disgusting to say the least. However the rest of the family said the chicken curry was ok apart from the reheated chips. Won't be ordering again

We are from Singapore! The ribs from these stocks is one of the best ribs I ever eaten. Rice was average/bad, some rice were cluttered together. Noodles are decent

I am editing this review as it seems they took my complaint seriously and have stopped serving up reheats and are back to their previous EXCELLENCE!

Our visit was a little while ago now, but we remember it well. I am not going to say it is the most exciting Chinese food I have ever eaten, I am also sure that it was food prepared with great care and attention. We had plenty to eat, enjoyed really fresh flavours, and just felt very well looked after by the staff and particularly the chef. The menu had a good selection of different dishes and what we chose was beautifully prepared and presented. I'm not often in that part of the country, but I would definitely go again if I have the opportunity.

Food was delicious, arrived piping hot. You can tell its quality ingredients and the portion sizes were great too. There’s nothing worse than a disappointing Chinese and Wok star only exceeded expections! Very happy and will be ordering again.

Amazing Currys nice and soft chicken I just start trying different stuff but all good and fast delivery staff whit in 20 minutes can recommend to people and friends in Forfar and surrounding area thanks
