Wok Star in Glasgow City

I can't praise the food from here enough. I've tried loads in the area and can never get a decent beef and mushroom. that one tonight was up there with the best I've had. perfect. left a lovely taste in my mouth. delicious.

Have tried to order a few times now but my order just keeps getting rejected. This is due to the fact I made a complaint about a previous order taking 2 and a half hours to arrive. Shocking service! At least I know not to order again!

We have been looking for a good Chinese for a long time and I think we found it. It was hot, fresh, great portions and taste.

this was hands down one of the best meals I've had off this app in a long time. the ribs were absolutely tremendous. loads of meat and it fell right off the bone. the beef in the curry was cooked to perfection and my curry was amazing. thank you. 1st time ordering and definitely won't be my last. delicious. 👌

So good last night, we're ordering again tonight. Honestly stuff was top notch and definitely a massive improvement from the last time we ate here, maybe a year back. Keep up the good work 👏

The food was nice however the chips and spring rolls were soggy. The food was only warm rather than hot and cooled down very quickly. I had called to query where the order was 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time and was advised that due to a concert, they were very behind on deliveries. I wouldn't have minded but I ordered at 6.25 to ensure it would arrive well in advance of 9pm due to a medical issue. My husband liked the food but wouldn't order delivery again on a concert night.

I was so looking forward to my Chinese but i was so disappointed as it was soggy because chips, chicken balls ,spring rolls all in polystyrene containers not happy .

Ordered as a guest for my mother and used her address. Somehow it came to my home address. I called after an hr or so to say tge received no order. I recognised that it was down for delivery to my address I called and they said it had left and should be 5 to 10 mins. Arrives 40 mins later chip cold and soggy mess curry was luke warm bad night at the office all round. Eventually binned the meal 17 pound to reheat it in a micro and having to deliver it myself

Atlast a Chinese that understands not to mix crispy duck with a sauce otherwise food goes soggy... highly recommend ... food was hot and full of flavour

I have been looking for an age for a good Chinese with a decent range of gluten free dishes on the menu. I phoned to confirm what I was after was safe and the lady I spoke to was very helpful. Food came on time and was absolutely banging! wife loved what she ordered too. this place is now my go to!

the vegetable spring rolls were horrid so we t in the bin. ordered a chicken satay that was not a satay was more like chicken curry with onions and peppers loaded with spice. the rice and prawn crackers were the only thing that was ok

Always love my weekend takeaway from Wok Star. The ribs are always amazing, plenty meat. Can't go wrong with a curry. I've had better salt n chilli chips, but they are still good. Order early on a Saturday as they can close off orders due to such high demand.

Salt n chilli chicken balls are just to salty but the taste was amazing same with all other food.

shredded crispy chicken in Peking sauce was very sweet almost like a sweet and sour sauce. The chips were awful, cold as though lying for a lengthy period. ordered at 5pm and came at 6.05pm despite being a 5 minute drive from my house..

Was recommended this Chinese ordered home delivery was told it would be here at 5.15-6.00 arrived at 5 food wasn’t very hot the spicy prawn spring roll were defo very spicy the chicken curry and fried rice was tasty but the chips were reheated so didn’t eat them free prawn crackers but overall was overpriced

Wow just wow. I’ve recently moved back to Scotland and live 10 minutes away from Wokstar. Its been highly recommended by friends of mine so tonight I made my first order by phone and the staff member was so polite and took my order . On arrival it was so busy however even though it was busy the owner came out to meet me as it was my first time . This was so nice of him . My order was collected on time and I must say the portions were huge . The food tasted absolutely superb , especially the Beef green pepper black bean sauce . The beef was so tender and not one bit chewy . All full of flavor too. The breast chicken curry is also a winner and again very large portion and of course quality chicken in this dish . The curry sauce also tasty and full of flavor The Satay chicken spring roll starter was tremendous and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious. Salt and chilli chips. Black pudding balls. Chicken wings were also lovely. I will definitely be using Wokstar from Now on. Thank you all and I look forward to trying out more delicious dishes from the menu

Got a home delivery, delivery person very pleasant and the food was amazing 10/10

crispy beef in peking sauce was delicious. Ordered with plain noodles which came thick and they were delicious too. Will order thin next time out of personal preference. Would order again.

Reslly unhappy with my order tonight. Waited over an hour for the food to come with no update from the restaurant until I actually asked for one. The salt and chilli spring rolls came soggy and I don't just mean a wee bit soggy I mean totally soggy and wet. The chips, rice and curry sauce that I ordered wasn't much better as the chips were only half cooked therefore were partially hard. Overall really poor quality and not good delivery time.

Waited more two hours for food to be delivered

Food was tasty but I feel that the curry sauce was too spicy for me when I asked for it to be mild. Food was not hot enough but a quick blast in the microwave soon sorted it out. It was my first time buying from Wok Star and I would try it out again.

Food tastes good , was a bit cold even though came early , chips soggy same as the chicken balls , and if you have a curry and add rice it comes in the same dish (should state that on the menu ) over all not impressed

Even though I ordered salt and chilli chips, there was so much salt on it is was inedible.

Just had a chicken curry fried rice first time I have had a curry from wokstar the rice and curry sauce was very nice but the chicken was very tough I have had food in the past and it has been brilliant tad disappointed with it tonight

My go to Chinese. Order from here all the time. The food is always 10/10. Whenever I make amendments to my order they get it spot on. So happy to have found this place. Usually order every few weeks as can’t resist !

Chicken curry was perfect but Thai crispy chicken chilli was a big disappointment the chicken was like chewing leather ended up just eating sauce with rice

I've ordered from these guys quite a few times but this is the first time I've been disappointed. Ordered the spring rolls and they were REALLY greasy to the point one of them was falling apart. Had the duck in peking sauce and it was alright but a bit bland and the sauce was super sweet. Not the best I've had from here and just putting it down to a bad batch

I wouldn’t order again. The food had a strange smell and I’m afraid to say 90% went in the bin. Humongous portions. Salty, not fresh. Wouldn’t recommend.

Delivery was very early. Before the app had updated .Food was really bad. Tuff undercooked meat. Threw most of it in the bin.

Always great service with friendly staff. Food's amazing and reasonably priced. Love the chicken curry, satay curry, Singapore fine noodles and salt n chilli ribs (not all at once though!) Used it for years and would risk anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I don’t bother going to another Chinese if Wok Star is shut. It not worth it. Always extra large portions and you can taste how fresh everything is. The sauces are great too. What’s nice is more often than not, there’s a little extra taster dish popped in for free! This time it was a tasty noodle soup. Thank you

Mostly a very good, reliable take away that sells delicious food that arrives fairly quickly. Occasional issues due to their online ordering systems, ie it says the shop is open but you CANT make an order for delivery. Edit, this is the latest Sunday that your website says you're open, but you can't order anything for delivery or collection. I've been a loyal customer for years, and it's frustrating for those of us who need to rely on online delivery.

Was 45 mins late. Food was really salty, couldn't eat a lot of it. No flavour beyond salt.

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great? It reminded me of a fakeaway you’d make at home as opposed to an actual Chinese takeaway, can’t quite explain it. Rice was concealed & Curry sauce was poor, which is make or break it for me. Portion sizes were great tho just wasn’t that tasty, as I’d have expected considering the hype.

Waited over 90 minutes for this to arrive, beef curry and rice where mixed together in the same tub and the sauce had congealed on top so got a tub of mushy slop which is not what I ordered at all. Sweet and sour chicken and noodles were alright but considering how much I paid for this tonight I'm really dissapointed, will probably not be ordering again.

Savoy beef & mushroom is one of the nicest I've had, beef amazing (I'm extremely fussy) none of the cheap chewy stuff most takeaways use - chow mein again, real chicken & taste amazing - wouldn't consider using another Chinese for takeaway. Cannot recommend the beef dish enough. Also one of few places that read jusy eat notes & change your dish as you have asked. Defo a 10/10 from me 🤩

Get a nice curry here it's a bit expensive though and you need to be quick because it closes early and it's also difficult to get through on the phone but like I said it's a nice curry

One of the best Breast of chicken currys we have had in a long time, chicken just melted in your mouth. Chips were cooked to perfection, mini spring rolls super crispy just the way they should be.

Wok Star is my go-to most weeks, this is the only occasion it’s taken 2hrs to get my food plus the big bottle of coke was missing… one of those days I suppose 🤦🏻‍♂️
