Wok Star in Glasgow City

We always order from Wokstar and never had any issues, tonight we ordered just before 8 pm, the estimated delivery was between 8:40 pm and- 21:10, at 21:30 send a message through the app and they said it was delayed, the delivery driver came at 21:50. Wokstar is at 10 driving from my house, not sure what happened tonight, on top the that the food was warm, usually the food is fairly hot. Nos sure if I order from here again, 2 2 hours to get our food, that seems too much.

Usually good but the chicken was so dry, satay sticks were inedible unfortunately. I have used wokstar for years and I will again, but please try to make the meat fresh. It was so chewy and dry.

Always take a little while longer but is well worth the wait. Amazing food would not eat any where else now

ordered set meal at £14 , added chips separately at 3.50 unfortunately didn't get the chips and paid £25 including delivery fee and driver £3 tip got in touch with just eat was told they couldn't do nothing as I paid in cash , first time this has ever happened here so it happens

Tasty, hot and excellent value. Wok Star has to be one of the best Chinese takeaways in Glasgow. Used them for years and genuinely never had an issue with the standard of food or the time to deliver it.

does not taste like a beef curry I've ever tasted before. rancid. the only plus is that the portion was decent. avoid.

The food was cold and didn't have much flavour, and our delivery arrived over two hours after we ordered it despite the estimated delivery time being 45-60 minutes.

Ordered a meal for 2 at 7pm, arrived at 845pm and the wait time when ordering on just eat was 45mins-1hr. 1 hour 40 for a takeaway is shocking. Also the women on the phone was rude.

Chicken balls dry and overcooked. Chow main flavourless, ribs overcooked and too salty. Don’t know what happened tonight, I’ve ordered here before and was nice. Bad night.

Not concerned about late delivery as only half an hour and conscious football on at Hampden making delivery more difficult. Delivery driver very apologetic and lovely and really was not an issue. Thank you!

food was not the best, chips, chicken wings & chicken balls were sorry and didn't taste nice at all! sauces tasted strange and full of oil. wouldn't rush to order from here, shame it used to be really nice.

I think this has to be the worst take away I’ve ever had. My chips are in edible as they are rock solid and burnt. My chicken curry the sauce is congealed. The rice is stuck together in clumps. I think the only part of my dinner that is edible is the prawn crackers. So it looks like it’s those for dinner! I had to give one start so that I could send this.

Genuinely one of the worst chineses ave ever ate in my life, delivered very was late and the food tasted off, wont go near it again.

Massive Portions , REAL chicken , delivery a little long but suppose when it’s that good you can expect a wait and it is the weekend !

Been a while since ordered from here, remembered why!! Satay tasted strange and unpleasant,Fried rice congealed and stodgy. Other meals unpleasant and not very appealing.

An hour and 40 minutes after ordering the food, the status changed to "enjoy your food," but it wasn't delivered. No response from the restaurant when I tried to call either. Absolutely atrocious.

As usual, exceptional fresh quality. Cannot fault the quality of food from here hence why I've been a regular customer for about 5 years no.

Delivery time stated as 45-60mins before ordering. Ordered at 18:10 and the food was delivered at 19:50.

Chicken and ham fried rice with onions probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Chicken satay on skewers also really good.

Food tasted great as always and nice big portions. Delivery came quicker than expected and the delivery guy was friendly. Never been disappointed with Wok Star 👌

I can't praise the food from here enough. I've tried loads in the area and can never get a decent beef and mushroom. that one tonight was up there with the best I've had. perfect. left a lovely taste in my mouth. delicious.

Have tried to order a few times now but my order just keeps getting rejected. This is due to the fact I made a complaint about a previous order taking 2 and a half hours to arrive. Shocking service! At least I know not to order again!

this was hands down one of the best meals I've had off this app in a long time. the ribs were absolutely tremendous. loads of meat and it fell right off the bone. the beef in the curry was cooked to perfection and my curry was amazing. thank you. 1st time ordering and definitely won't be my last. delicious. 👌

The food was nice however the chips and spring rolls were soggy. The food was only warm rather than hot and cooled down very quickly. I had called to query where the order was 20 minutes after the estimated delivery time and was advised that due to a concert, they were very behind on deliveries. I wouldn't have minded but I ordered at 6.25 to ensure it would arrive well in advance of 9pm due to a medical issue. My husband liked the food but wouldn't order delivery again on a concert night.

I was so looking forward to my Chinese but i was so disappointed as it was soggy because chips, chicken balls ,spring rolls all in polystyrene containers not happy .

Ordered as a guest for my mother and used her address. Somehow it came to my home address. I called after an hr or so to say tge received no order. I recognised that it was down for delivery to my address I called and they said it had left and should be 5 to 10 mins. Arrives 40 mins later chip cold and soggy mess curry was luke warm bad night at the office all round. Eventually binned the meal 17 pound to reheat it in a micro and having to deliver it myself

Atlast a Chinese that understands not to mix crispy duck with a sauce otherwise food goes soggy... highly recommend ... food was hot and full of flavour

I have been looking for an age for a good Chinese with a decent range of gluten free dishes on the menu. I phoned to confirm what I was after was safe and the lady I spoke to was very helpful. Food came on time and was absolutely banging! wife loved what she ordered too. this place is now my go to!

the vegetable spring rolls were horrid so we t in the bin. ordered a chicken satay that was not a satay was more like chicken curry with onions and peppers loaded with spice. the rice and prawn crackers were the only thing that was ok

Always love my weekend takeaway from Wok Star. The ribs are always amazing, plenty meat. Can't go wrong with a curry. I've had better salt n chilli chips, but they are still good. Order early on a Saturday as they can close off orders due to such high demand.

Salt n chilli chicken balls are just to salty but the taste was amazing same with all other food.

shredded crispy chicken in Peking sauce was very sweet almost like a sweet and sour sauce. The chips were awful, cold as though lying for a lengthy period. ordered at 5pm and came at 6.05pm despite being a 5 minute drive from my house..

Was recommended this Chinese ordered home delivery was told it would be here at 5.15-6.00 arrived at 5 food wasn’t very hot the spicy prawn spring roll were defo very spicy the chicken curry and fried rice was tasty but the chips were reheated so didn’t eat them free prawn crackers but overall was overpriced

Wow just wow. I’ve recently moved back to Scotland and live 10 minutes away from Wokstar. Its been highly recommended by friends of mine so tonight I made my first order by phone and the staff member was so polite and took my order . On arrival it was so busy however even though it was busy the owner came out to meet me as it was my first time . This was so nice of him . My order was collected on time and I must say the portions were huge . The food tasted absolutely superb , especially the Beef green pepper black bean sauce . The beef was so tender and not one bit chewy . All full of flavor too. The breast chicken curry is also a winner and again very large portion and of course quality chicken in this dish . The curry sauce also tasty and full of flavor The Satay chicken spring roll starter was tremendous and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious. Salt and chilli chips. Black pudding balls. Chicken wings were also lovely. I will definitely be using Wokstar from Now on. Thank you all and I look forward to trying out more delicious dishes from the menu

Got a home delivery, delivery person very pleasant and the food was amazing 10/10

crispy beef in peking sauce was delicious. Ordered with plain noodles which came thick and they were delicious too. Will order thin next time out of personal preference. Would order again.

Reslly unhappy with my order tonight. Waited over an hour for the food to come with no update from the restaurant until I actually asked for one. The salt and chilli spring rolls came soggy and I don't just mean a wee bit soggy I mean totally soggy and wet. The chips, rice and curry sauce that I ordered wasn't much better as the chips were only half cooked therefore were partially hard. Overall really poor quality and not good delivery time.
