Sorry to say after two and a half hours the food was disgusting don’t know what’s happened as it used to be good .will never order from here again.didnt even deserve 1star but couldn’t comment without leaving 1

Just got a special fried rice and spring rolls absolutely pathetic chicken is the cheapest of the cheap slices from a packet from a cheap supermarket about 3 tiny prawns and char sui looks off plus spring rolls are soggy charged £15 for absolute garbage quite frankly I'm shocked please save your money and go somewhere else honestly you'll do yourself a massive favour not ordering from here I certainly won't be back

Had a few orders from here in the last couple of months and sorry to say its not great. Won't be back. Chicken curry is rank, even the fried rice isn't to to scratch. Won't be back.

Consistently one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area for years. Tasty food and great value - have not hiked up their prices like many others.

I’m so shocked to say the least, Iv been a fan of this place for as long as I can remember. Ordered food tonight and it all went into the bin. I tried to call them and it went straight to an answer phone. I hadn’t ordered food out here for a while but tonight’s food was disgusting. A simple chow main & chicken curry, £24.90 into the bin. Lee palace get your act together you have drastically went down hill. Absolutely shocking. Never again will I order anything.

A discrace of a place ..! Put a order in at 4.30 was told be there shortly a houer later still no meal phoned the place said it went out with driver some time ago ( so it would be a frozzen cold meal in this weather ) cancelled order never again ....😡😡😡😡

Got to be the worst Chinese restaurant in Glasgow ordered Singapore fried rice which didn't have any chicken in it and a portion of chips which where soggy and portion of curry sauce which was watery pure waste of money never be back in that place ever again.

Best Chinese in Rutherglen and surrounding areas. Food is awesome, friendly staff and never wait long for it.

Ordered Salt & chilli ribs, what I got was a box of small chunks of ribs that had been cut up, bulked out with chunks of onions and peppers. Around 14 pieces of bone with gristle which would make around 2 ribs. I tried 1piece that was not nice, so have put it out for the local foxes, who are a little less fussy. Have ordered from them before but after being sold a box of leftover rib bits, I will never order from them again. Only awarding 1 star as there isn't an option for zero

Totally shattered and decided to grab something to eat after finishing, the safety window is a plus. I ordered duck and lemon and ribs, ribs were nice, the duck was sliced duck with slices of lemon on top, not sure what I expected or if I'm disappointed, guess I'll have to find another restaurant to compare with it, based on that a solid 4* for me.

I don't bother with many places for take away food. It's always a nice meal from Lee Palace.

tried to order a home delivery from here but they called back after taking our order and told us that they couldn't deliver to our address yet we know someone who gets delivery from here and their address is less than 300meters from our place

Anoche tuvimos amigos y pedimos una selección de platos del menú. Hemos sido patrocinadores del Lee Palace durante muchos años y me entristece decir que la comida de la noche anterior fue horrible. Sin excepción, todo estaba tan cargado de chile. . . . era casi incomible, el pollo Kung Po no se parecía a ninguna salsa Kung Po que haya visto y el pollo no se parecía ni tenía la textura del pollo. . . . . . pedimos fideos de arroz con pollo y no tengo idea de lo que les hicieron, pero estaban muy calientes, tampoco se los comieron, salsa de curry nuevamente a picante, sal y chips de chile, solo chips con algunas hojuelas de chile seco. . . . . . Me temo que no volveré, dudo que incluso los zorros de Rutherglen hayan disfrutado de esa fiesta, ya que es a quien se la donó.

Favourite Chinese can be inconsistent now and again but where isn’t

He estado usando este lugar durante años, pero últimamente me he dado cuenta de que la calidad de los platos para llevar es terrible: mi curry de carne el viernes por la noche era tan duro como el cuero de mis botas de aparejo y las costillas le habrían dado un problema a un Rottweiler al masticarlos. Es una pena, ya que es un restaurante tradicional sin lujos que me ha servido bien a lo largo de los años, pero dudo que vuelva pronto.

Went in tonight with my little girl I tried to order a portion of chips, fried rice, curry sauce and onions and was told they couldn't serve me just sides and that I would have to order a 'meal'! I have had this numerous times before and was made to feel very embarrassed having to gather my things and leave! Won't be back!

Sin embargo, este no sería mi primer punto de partida para una comida china para llevar, aunque la comida es lo suficientemente decente, hay comida china para llevar mucho mejor que ofrece una mejor calidad.

Food was good prices good would go back

Please may I say that it needs an overhaul. My husband and I had a nice meal here but it's very much outdated. I will say that if it was to change to something more modern then it will become more expensive but I'm hoping that there will always be an in house restaurant in Rutherglen. Looking forward to always having a sit in restaurant whatever the nationality in my local vicinity..

Great takeaway and restaurant everything I've had has been 1st class.they do a set menu during the day in the restaurant which is well worth trying

Hi great restaurant great food and great customer service I was there on xmas day I feel if you put chips and veg in separate bowls on the table as save a lot of waste etc

They need a revamp inside and food menu. They need to have a better selection for pretheatre re and kids and small plate selection. Honey chicken is everywere now and yet not here..... coming get up to 2020

Place is looking like it needs a refurb. Also don’t cater for children chicken nuggets fish fingers etc... I asked for my 4 year old to have some rice and some chips they (only do big portions I was told ) asked for them to cater for the child to be told no. Not good customer service so I left.

Estaba buscando un lugar para tomar un almuerzo rápido y me encontré con Lee Palace. Solo estaba disponible el menú fijo, pero hay una buena variedad y el precio es extremadamente bueno. Pedimos la sopa de pollo y fideos que era muy sabrosa. Los fideos también sabían bien y frescos. El plato principal fue pollo agridulce (estilo de Hong Kong) que frito arroz. El pollo era generoso y bien preparado, las verduras habían sido recién agregadas y estaban perfectamente crujientes, la salsa también era encantadora. El arroz frito era sabroso y no demasiado grasiento, lo cual es genial. Los buñuelos de plátano también tenían una deliciosa masa crujiente.El restaurante en sí es un clásico de los años 80 y 90, pero el personal es muy amable y la comida llegó muy rápido.Yo trabajo localmente, así que definitivamente regresaré regularmente.

Went to visit Father McGovern's grave while on holiday from Glasgow. Very pleaceful

Singapore fried rice was excellent! Combined with a crisp Pinot Noir it was a pleasant meal.

Like many I've been using the Lee Palace for decades. Food has never changed in that time . Still brilliant . Staff and restaurant are just the same as always. Great and inviting . Think there is a saying ..if it ain't broke don't try n fix it . Lee Palace has got to be up there in the classic places to eat .

If I could give this 0 stars I would let’s start off with the menus THEY DONT SELL CHILDRENS MENUS a mean what restraunt doesn’t sell kids meals also the staff we’re rude the food tasted like microwave food and the Fryed rice was not cooked right the toilets are disgusting on the mirror it was covered in green stuff and the tap was dusty the tables were cheep they Color it up with table cloth just save ur money and don’t come here !

Busy, good staff and food alright

Been visiting the Lee Palace for years but first time on a Friday night pre theatre, superb,portion sizes massive, none of our party managed to eat all of it an took their leftovers home, as always good,tasty, well cooked Chinese food.

Great deals for lunch menu and always taste great but the deco is past its deco date

The Lee Palace has a prime spot on Rutherglen Main St and as such can get very busy at the usual times of day. I've been here a couple of times for meals with my in laws and the food is typical of a British Chinese restaurant. The last time we went it was as a party of eleven and unfortunately this proved problematic seating wise. Luckily we had child with us and we were able to place a chair in a very small space at the end of the table but the staff at the restaurant seemed uninterested in resolving this situation. They had put us at the front of the restaurant and so close to the wall that had we moved up to another table half the group wouldn't have been able to get out to go to the bathroom. We were given a set menu which was under £10 for a three course meal. We were not offered the al la carte menu so I can't comment on this. I had chicken and mushroom soup which was ok, basically a broth with some mushrooms and very little chicken, I think I counted four small pieces but it tasted nice. The prawn crackers, which we had to request two of despite the size of our party, were a decent size if a little greasy. I then had chicken fried rice which I enjoyed with some curry sauce and was also a good size. My husband had spring rolls which were very good and beef chow mein which he said was also a little too greasy. I did not have a desert but the rest of our party seemed happy with their food and there looked to be a variety of things to choose from. Our party mainly ordered soft drinks which were all swerved by the can although we were able to order a bottle of wine for those who wanted something stronger. The restaurant itself is very dated. I doubt this has had any upgrades since the early eighties and it is very drab although it seemed clean enough. The staff did not really interact with us much which may have been due to a language barrier. Unfortunately one of our party was running a little late and we had to wait for them to arrive before ordering but we were asked on no less than three occasions if we were ready to order which we all found irritating. Overall I would say the food is average, the service ok, but it's good value for a restaurant in a good spot which is why it gets three stars rather than two. The place is crying out for a refurb but we all enjoyed the nostalgia brought on by the dated décor. I also suspect the cost of the set meals would increase if the owners addressed this.

Great food always hit on arrival,though you do have to wait maybe 40mins fir delivery but we'll worth the wait , we love sweet and sour Hong Kong style with plain thick noodles mmm , go try best Chinese food in Rutherglen 😋

Yo y mi mamáY su novio visitó aquí el 11/11/18, hemos estado viniendo aquí durante años, pero desde que algunos miembros del personal se han ido, creo que no se ha hecho cargo de nada.La señora sentada tomó nuestro pedido esperó por mucho tiempo para nuestro primer plato y el miembro del personal nos preguntó si hubiéramos tenido nuestro primer plato dijo que no lo conseguí 2 x pollo chili 1 porción 2 bits no habían sido cocinados adecuadamente yuk I soupLuego esperó las edades para nuestra comida principal pensarLa camarera sabía que no estábamos contentos y les dio latas de jugo gratis.Lo cual no fue tan bueno, entonces pedimos el postre. Esperamos mucho tiempo para que nos dijeran que no tenían buñuelos de plátano. Podrías habernos dicho que 20 minutos antes, en ese momento, teníamos suficiente, estábamos allí más de 2 horas, ya que el lugar no estaba ocupado, además de que no pudiéramos ir al pabellónMe encanta ir aquí, no ahora la comida es mala, no está bien preparada, el servicio es terrible, no volveré aquí de nuevoPero diré que la hermana de Arthur no está segura de que su nombre sea de gran ayuda y, probablemente, sea la única que sabe lo que hace gracias.

Just had a good 3 course meal here including drinks for £25.50 nice meal.

After using this place for years for sit in meals I won’t be back , over 30mins waiting on 2 soups to start our meal , asked staff what was happening , to be told kitchen can’t cope with home deliveries , well stop taking the joke deliveries till people that are sitting waiting in restaurant are served , total greed and then told them we could not wait any longer and we’re charged for the prawn crackers and 2 cans , WONT BE BACK !!!!

Been coming here since I was young, now I bring my kids aswell!! Love this place never gets old. Staff are very friendly aswell.

Restaurant is slightly dated and in need of a little modernisation , but their food is absolutely delicious and great value for money , staff are very nice and also very friendly, would definitely recommend this restaurant

Good service great prices food excellent for price

We had a sit in pre theatre meal which was £10.95 for three courses. There was a great choice of meals and the portions were great. Good service and nice staff. Lost a point for décor and take away meals coming and going on tables beside other diners.

Great value lovely food and staff.

Arrived with 5 minutes left of their Lunchtime 3 Course Meal for £7.50 deal, as did 2 ladies and about 5 kids. The staff weren't very friendly, in fact they were rather curt. I understand that the last minute stampede might be frustrating for them but their most important jobs are to smile and be efficient; at least they they managed the latter. Food was nice enough, in fact when you know it's £7.50 for 3 courses it was really good, apart from the ice-cream (whi h was tasteless). At that price, I will be going back.

Fantastic place food is good and staff very helpful and prices are really good went in with my two year old granddaughter,the t don't do children's menu which is ridiculous had to get the ordinary menu which is really an adult meal asked for noodles instead of chips and they wanted eighty pence extra,wh when I asked why they didn't have a child's menu was informed customers just get chjps for kids

Best thing about special curry and prawn crackers .is the prawn crackers .mushrooms in curry are obviously a week old curry full of onion 2 prawns in the mix cubes of frozen chicken congeled curry sauce it's definitely a special curry ,special for all the wrong reason

Si después de una buena "antiguo" comida china a un precio estupendo y luego ir aquí. Aunque mi amigo y yo vivo en el otro lado de Glasgow nos curiosidad después de encontrar información sobre este lugar en Facebook. Sí, todos los comentarios sobre la decoración son verdaderas pero que no tome nada lejos de la experiencia. Llegamos a las 12. 05 en días laborables y las 12. 30 El lugar estaba lleno, eso dice mucho de un lugar no en el centro de la ciudad. £7. 50 para una importante comida de tres platos. Porciones enormes y comida riquísima. Estábamos tan rellenas que no podía soportar el tercer campo. Volver mañana con otro amigo. El viaje merece la pena.

Took my niece here for pre theatre meal, all 3 courses were lovely we paid the extra for sirloin steak main and weren't disappointed. Have been coming here for many years also get deliveries sometimes really like LEE PALACE.

A family run business that's been in Rutherglen for at least 40 years, that I can remember. The restaurant does look a bit dated but the food quality is excellent.
