Peking Palace in South Lanarkshire

Was at this restaurant for the first time in almost a year . I had my favourite meal Cantonese Sliced Fillet Steak which I usually have at this restaurant , I was extremely disappointed with the taste , and quantity of the meat , left half of it as it wasn’t good .

This was always our family go to for special occasions for many years. The food is different under the new management it’s bland and the service isn’t as good. Won’t be back

Food was nice but being charged £2.80 for a can of coke is just taking the piss. I can buy 24 cans in Tesco for £10, If I bought 24 cans here it would cost me £67.20. I understand the have to make a profit but come on.

Visited here on a Saturday night after had been closed for short time. Is now under new management & from our experience has improved. They also now do a pre theatre menu which never had before on a weekend. We had chicken noodle soup & Peking ribs to start followed by chicken curry & Singapore chow mein. The ribs & the chicken in the curry were melt in the mouth tender. Which is not always the case with Chinese. The new owner Kevin came over to make sure our dining experience was ok & welcomed feedback. We will definitely be visiting again soon to try the ALC menu. Keep up the high standards PP.

The worst of the worst, please don’t go. Without going into the detail. The quality and the taste of the food was awful. So very disappointing!!!

Attended recently for a family dinner - we have been going here for years and it used to be a firm favourite. Firstly, on this occasion the food wasn't to the usual high standard. Not sure if there have been staff changes in the kitchen but it just wasn't to our liking. Which is fair enough and a matter of opinion. The main issue is what has put me off returning, and that was one of the female staff members. We had a young baby in our party, who was welcomed heartily (great start) and given a high chair. One staff member in particular was keen to make a fuss of the baby (again- great) and offered her hands out to take the baby. This was politely declined. Baby was sat happily playing with a spoon which the waitress for some reason decided to come over and take from her, and then sing and clap in her face, causing the baby to cry. A short time later same waitress brought a bottle of prosecco to the table, and proceeded to hand the twisted metal and Cork to the baby (taken back promptly by childs parent). Another short time later same waitress approached the table and handed baby a prawn cracker which again was taken back with a 'no, don't do that please' by the parent. Same waitress then proclaimed "some chips will be good for her" when the food was brought to the table. She was nothing short of irritating, continually putting her hands in babies face, pushing interaction from the child. All it meant was that the babies parents could not relax, could not eat in peace and were also on high alert for the next dangerous article or inappropriate food item to be given to the baby. Whilst it is always nice to be welcomed as a family and nice to have your child admired, our whole party was shaking their heads in disbelief. I'm afraid it has put us off returning as it was not an enjoyable or relaxing experience.

Amazing!! This was out first time coming to this restaurant and the staff are so lovely and the food was excellent, We ordered salt and chilli chicken and a chicken curry would highly recommend the salt and chilli chicken, As said staff were lovely and very accommodating.

Went here with around 30+ family members and I ordered : King prawn balls with sweet n sour dip: it was Awful and not king prawn. There was no king prawn just a minced mush inside a weird bread and batter. I suspect it was shrimp paste and that is not what I ordered so be careful if you order it. (picture of it added). Sadly the waitress who picked up the entire uneaten dish said NOTHING to me, she just took it and left (no question as to why I left it all) ( Say nothing and Take the money instead attitude) Combination fried rice was not fit for a dog, it looked bland, it tasted bland and I gave the whole dish back to the server who did ask If i wanted something else but I said no just give me some fried rice. I ate a small portion of fried rice and left. Got food at our local takeaway on the way home and ate all of it as I was starving. Never never never go here.. it's poor quality food and I also question if they are substituting other foods to save money. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Awful awful.

Great food and service in both restaurant and take away. Picked up our takeaway order and realised when we got home they had missed one of our meals ordered. Called restaurant and manager delivered missing dish and food was excellent.

Every visit to my wife’s Aunt is never complete without a visit to the Peking Palace. The food is always outstanding, and in particular the Duck in Plum Sauce. The staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the experience.

Just had a take away from here called at 5 big mistake got last nights reheated chips and the curry was look warm called to speak to the manager who says he waould go into the kitchen and check that they weren’t reheated shouldn’t have to check shouldn’t be allowed disgusting won’t be back

1st visit since before lockdown and new owners. Salt and pepper chicken fresh and tasty, prawn cocktail same. Chicken satay better than before. Fillet of beef Thai style, did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back. Fast and efficient table service and lovely friendly staff

We have been customers of Peking Palace for well over 20 years.We have visited the restaurant as a family and I have visited on a regular basis with colleagues(4/5 times every year))We also regularly had carry outs with lemon chicken being my sons favourite.This week we decided to give the restaurant our first order since it reopened under new management. Unfortunately we were very disappointed.We ordered 3 meals , 2 of which were lemon chicken.While the portions were fine regarding the chicken,the sauce was sparse and watery.The third dish was chicken and prawn Peking style.Again watery sauce with only 4 VERY small prawns ,light years away from before.The rice was ok as were the prawn crackers which were plentiful.I didn’t in the past mind paying more than you would generally for a Chinese carry out as it was quality food .This was mediocre for above average prices.Sorry Peking Palace I think this is the end of a beautiful and long friendship.

ate here last night food was great as was the service only four stars due to there being four of us at the restaurant and three ordered fried rice with their meal and this was served up in a single share dish, otherwise very enjoyable meal

Sampled the newly reopened peking palace me u tonight and wasn’t disappointed. This is my new favourite go to Chinese. We shared the chicken satay , crispy peking chicken , sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style and salt and chilli chicken . Lovely soft fresh chicken pieces with not too much veg and lots of tasty sauce with some prawn crackers to clean it up. Can’t wait to go in to sit down once we can . Easy to park and great me y and service . Will be back soon

Having used the Peking Palace since it opened around 1990, I was disappointed to see it close in Feb 2020.It has recently re-opened and I was pleased to give the takeaway a try. My family ordered:• Chicken satay• Beef Satay• Breast of chicken curry• Chicken fried rice• 2 boiled, 1 fried rice & 1 chipsIn short, all were excellent. The satay was familiar but even better than we remembered, but great comments on all dishes! The food was hot and fresh and the portions were generous.It has never been the cheapest, and that lot cost me £38.Speaking to the new owner, he was a waiter there 20 tears ago and has managed to retain some on the chefs.Will definitely be back, looking forward to a sit-in after restrictions have eased.

Ordered breast of chicken fried rice with gravy sauce. I will never go back here again. It only reopened on the 25th February and I was craving a peking palace chicken fried rice. When I got it home it was a large tub of fried rice with peas and sweet corn through it chicken on top and a tiny weenie splash of gravy didn’t even cover the chicken never mind coat the rice. Chicken was rubbery and tasteless rice was greasy and I had toMake gravy in the house to try and rescue the dish. Overpriced also at £7.50. I will NOT be returning very disappointed

Very good meal and the service was great as were the staff. Meal was served quickly and there was not a great wait between courses. Staff made the great nephew very welcome and found ways to keep him amused

Solía usar bastante y elogiaba la comida. Dejé de ir después de ordenar una comida por teléfono para la recolección un sábado (sin entrega el sábado) y me dijeron que estaba listo en 20 minutos. Le di 40 minutos y tuve que esperar una hora adicional cuando llegué allí. Mis invitados no quedaron impresionados con la espera, sin embargo, la comida era muy buena.El viernes pasado, con la esposa fuera, decidí darle otra oportunidad. Era como si estuviera cocinado en agua y la textura era fibrosa.No he tenido una oportunidad de llevar aquí durante algunos años, ya que voy a uno en EK village, por lo general, la única razón por la que fui fue porque está cerca. ¡No volveré!

Visité el restaurante un domingo por la noche con mi pareja y dos niños pequeños. Solíamos venir aquí con frecuencia, pero esta fue nuestra primera visita durante más de un año. En primer lugar, ningún menú para niños se ofreció en ningún momento. Nos dieron el menú a la carta y bebidas. Pedí una botella de vino que llegó rápidamente. . . . hasta ahora tan bueno. Luego, esperamos 20 minutos exactamente para que alguien viniera y tomara nuestro pedido de comida. Ambos niños tenían mucha hambre, así que no fue un buen comienzo. Got the order wrong then said they would swap full oreder and only came with the sauce so got warm steak n black bean sauce and been left with cold soggy rice and chips that i will need to reheat waste of £26 not happy

The service was woeful and standoffish from the off. We were out for a special family birthday. Waited over an hour between getting our starters and the main course arriving! The food was nice however the portion size for the rice was to say the least minimal. The staff were unfriendly and insisted in pushing in past the corner of the table round back two toddlers to lean over with not food when you could easily serve it from the other side of the table. Leaving hot platers over the top of us etc basic stuff! Once we had finished main course they couldn't wait clear away table as if expected us to leave. Wouldn't recommend

Pricey for what you get. Food was good but place is bleek. Felt like everything was rushed and out within an hour.

Fantastic food and service even though it was very busy . Will definitely be returning for the Fillet steak curry , it was amazing.

I have been away for over 5 years now and always crave the ribs. Then didn’t disappoint again 😀 the ribs are to die for, I get the ones without sauce and it comes with lemon slices. Yum, yum, yum

Had a lovely afternoon with my dear friend Mrs Todd who always loves the Peking Palace and I must agree with her. This was my first time but mrs Todd’s been a few times. I loved it, great table by the fish tank which is beautiful. The food was excellent and the service was first class and I can’t wait to go back again, as we had such a lovely time, thank you peking palace for a lovely curry x

We live with in walking distance and said to the other half how we should give this a whirl. A Friday takeaway Chicken rice with curry sauce. Satay chicken on skewer Salt and pepper chips. Firstly, we knew we were paying over the odds, where a we can get satay chicken on skewer for £6 at my fav chines takeaway in Cardonald, here we were paying £8.50! To the chase, the chips were soggie and v unattractive. I had the chicken satay and possibly the worst I have ever eaten. The presentation was yuckier grey colour sauce, large bits chicken on skewer. A bland insipid flavour and overwhelmingly salty. The other half was no impressed at all with the chicken rice and curry sauce. Stay well clear

Probably the most expensive carry out locally. Definitely the worst our meal was cold. Rice lumpy and duck tasted off. Phoned restaurant next day to complain we were both severelyunwell. Manager said he would call me back next day. He didn’t ! I suggested he check his food sell by dates urgently so who knows if he bothered.

Having read some recent reviews about the Peking Palace I was a bit concerned about ordering a takeaway meal on Hogmanay.

Rudest and most difficult woman I’ve ever spoke to on the phone to order my food , will never use again

La decoración está un poco desgastada, pero la comida, la variedad del menú y el servicio tienen una buena relación calidad-precio. Hay un almuerzo razonable. 12: 00 a 14: 00. My husband and I went for a meal at the Peking Palace. It has been a few years since we last ate there. The restaurant is in need of a coat of paint, st the same after all these years. On the other hand, both our meals were absolutely fabulous. We ate every bit. Little bit more expensive than other places, so not going to be a regular visit.

Normally a very good restaurant/takeaway but not on Friday night. Visited takeaway and ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice...£8.50.

2 course lunch for £8 is great value for a good quality lunch. Menu has a great selection of choices with the option of other dishes with a small surcharge. Friendly staff.good size portion.

This Restaurant used to be of a really good quality but last six months or more food and quality very poor won’t be going back anytime soon if ever.

Use the restaurant regularly and the food is normally very good. On this occasion I used the takeaway as my regular place is closed and was really disappointed. The Hot and Sour soup was hot but bland. the same could be said for the Kung Po Chicken, plenty of chicken and nuts just no taste. Very disappointing

Decided to give this restaurant a visit despite mixed reviews. Glad we did. Pre-theatre menu was excellent value. Plenty to choose from. Chicken satay was amazing. Will be back

Ordered a meal from here tonight and i must say i was really looking forward to it. It arrived and we were utterly disappointed. The pancake rolls were cabbage rolls, extra hot curry was tasteless so much so that we had to add chilli flakes and salt. If i had to say there was one thing that i enjoyed it would be the onions. Lastly i would add that you do not get prawn crackers even when you spend over 30 quid. Overall very, very poor. Most of our meal went in the bin. Pure stodge!!

Regularly dine at Peking palace & the food was excellent once again despite it being super busy!! The chicken satay was lovely plus the service excellent. There was 6 of us & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Sizzling fillet steak & crystal chicken also recommended.

Went for birthday dinner with husband , the service is great surrounding and tableware very traditional and finally the food is superb . Never had a bad meal ever .

Great service as usual but the dosh I usually have Kung P Chicken was not up to their usual standards. Most of the veg, cashew nuts and water chestnuts had been replaced with chopped onions. Pity as this was a really tastey dish

My family and I come here most Tuesday's depending on our work schedule's the food in here is amazing we always go at lunchtime you can get a two course starter & main and drink for just £10 , food is great and you always get a friendly service I have a wee nephew he's 3 years and the staff love him and he loves them too very nice & friendly you must try x

Food is great from here but a bit expensive if your on a budget. Salt and chilli chicken is superb aswel as the chicken satay.

Tasty food and great value for money!! Would go back! Only thing that I didnt like was they want to get you fed quickly so they can clear your table for the next people!

Sólo he tenido llevar y nunca sábado en el restaurante pero parece bastante bonito por dentro. El llevar siempre es fresco, caliente y súper sabroso! Cada vez que venga a Glasgow de Palacio de Pekín es uno de los esenciales. Muy asequible! ! !

Lunch for an hour during work , popped in service very fast and the food was delicious! I've been going here for years and yes it looks the same as it did 25 yrs ago but it's clean , spotless ! I had the lunch £7.95 per head excellent value for money ! Hong Kong sweet & sour chicken FAB !!!!

I have already put this review on yet t has failed to appear.!!!!!!!why is that?I booked a table for my mothers 90th birthday for 26th March for 11 people for 5.45.We arrived in plenty time and were seated at a round table. Took forever to take our order for food. We had to chase starters after 30 mins when starters had not appeared.After starters another 40 mins passes with my husband asking many times for reason for delay and where was the food. Many reasons given(1)very busy it was mothers Day. (2) busy with Take aways (3) we would probably be after this other table plus take aways.I explain my mother is 90 and is now totally agitated when my husband gives them an ultimatum that if food was not on our table in 10 mins we were all leaving. Food arrives it is now one and a half hours since we arrived. My mother has lost the plot by this time not that I felt anyone cared. Now to the food. It was terrible, the soups were as if someone had put an oxo cube in some water, Returned not eaten. My mother ate 4 small bits of her duck which was returned, another 4 chicken dishes were returned uneaten, everything was awful, 4 children only had rice etc. We asked for the bill immediately took the birthday cake and returned home. My husband asked what they were going to do about it all and they reluctantly took 3 chicken dishes off the bill. Still £135 and a very upset mother plus and a total disappointment. No -one cared!! Never Again!!!!!!!

Ordered carry out combination curry. Supposed to contain chicken, pork and prawn. No chicken, three tiny slices of pork and four prawns. Rest of tub full of onions - more like an onion curry. Phoned to complain and were told to bring it back so it could be shown to chef! Told them we were not driving back as don't stay that close to be told we don't have driver on. Been using this carry out/restaurant since it opened. Last few times food not been that great. Tonight's effort was a joke. Won't be back. Customer service was non existent!

Having recently eaten in the Peking Palace which was very good I decided to try there home delivery service. Firstly the lady taking the order was polite and knowledgeable. The starter of spring role was very disappointing it was almost 100% cabbage no meat or other vegetables The spare ribs on the other hand were excellent among the best I have ever tasted. In the main course of chicken curry was ok but the onions were far too course and should have been much more finely chopped The other main of Duck and Mushrooms was tasty but in was more like Mushrooms with Duck the mushrooms being far the senior partner a good bit more Duck please. The overall bill was a bit expensive and I was disappointed there was no complementary prawn crackers

Visited this place recently on a Saturday night with Family. Have been an infrequent visitor over the last 9 years or so living in the area. I can say I don`t think much if anything has changed in the place except maybe a coat of paint. I think the same could be said for the last 30 years. However we keep coming back for the amazing Chinese food. I had the ribs which were amazing and the chicken Satay sizzler. In saying this all four of us loved our meals. We paid just over £100 for 4 starters & mains with a bottle of reisling and a bottle of chenin blanc. Must admit I can`t wait to go back again

Really enjoyable Chinese food and great service. The food is always a little different from other restaurants serving similar food and I like that.

First impression was it's a little dated and could do with a lick of paint and some new chairs. We were a family of six and we were seated and drinks order taken straight away.The quality of the food was excellent and clearly made fresh to order and we all ended up stuffed as the portion sizes are huge. Prices are what you'd expect to pay in most places and are very reasonable. The whole family were raving about our meals, including a 9 year old fussy eater and we all vowed to come back soon.Don't miss the Tai style fillet steak from the sizzler section.

We always get food to take away and never have any issues. Food is always top quality and great potion size. Best Chinese nearby would always reccomend

The Peking palace is a great place to go and enjoy Chinese food as it offers a great range of Chinese and European foodThe service was great and quite quick even though it had a full restaurant we all had a lovely evening with good quality food would recommend a visit the only down side to my visit was a service charge on my bill ?? Maybe because it was Christmas Eve? Maybe because there was five of us? Don't know why but if I didn't have that I would have given the Peking palace five stars.

Visited with my wife the other night. We were served by manager Jenny. Her attitude is an absolute disgrace the way she spoke to us and the conversations we overheard at the table next to us. Will not be back and will no longer be recommending this place! DO NOT EAT HERE unless you want ripped off!

Visited here on Sunday with my wife and 2 teenage kids, it's been a few years since I last was here, decor not changed much pretty older fashion chinese decor but nice and clean, food and service from start to finish was good, mixed satay , chicken curry, king prawn in batter, chilli chips all were very taste and nice, no complaints, all in all this place is worth a visit, a bit more expensive than you're normally average Chinese but for a special occasion well worth a visit .

We had never been here before but were looking for something to eat so popped in for a quick lunch. It looked like a run of the mill Chinese restaurant and the lunch menu suggested the same. We ordered chicken and mushroom soup and pancake roll to start. The soup was standard and the pancake roll was a bit disappointing. No meat (that I could see or taste) or bean sprouts, just Chinese cabbage. However, the main courses really made up for it. A tester for a Chinese restaurant for me is how good the fried rice is. Theirs was brilliant. Really tasty with lots of egg and not at all oily. Really tasty. I could have eaten a plate on it's own. The Szechuan beef and duck in plum sauce were delicious. Decent portions and worth the money.

My daughter was treating me to a meal out this evening we decided to go to Peking Palace. Never again!!! I ordered King prawn balls and my daughter chicken wings, when it came the king prawn balls were basically king prawn dumplings in batter, unrecognizable as king prawns, my daughter got 4 measly wings, one of which must have been a very premature chicken, it was tiny. When we complained the waiter, who told us later, was the owner??, apparently. He spoke to us with a smirk on his face like we were 2 stupid little girls, saying chicken wings are small its a starter. He went to take mine away without asking if I wanted anything else, my daughter said is she not getting anything else, he muttered something and came back and threw a menu in my face, it was then we thought enough is enough no apology or anything. He also said that was what a king prawn ball was? king prawn paste, I have never seen them like that, We said we were just leaving and he sprinted faster than Mo Farah to get us the bill for our drink, Dreadful customer service, we would have made a quick getaway but feet stuck to the carpet on the way out.

I have visited the Peking Palace for many years and their wide range of menu is superb! Their service is also second to none. The Management & staff always make you feel so welcome. We are on first name terms with most of them and that adds to our enjoyment when we book with the family. I would also recommend booking for Christmas Day, it's always a great atmosphere and the last sitting is recommended if you want to relax and have drinks til later on in the evening. Overall, it's great to book for a business lunch, family get together or as a couple.

Staff are very attentive, prices are great & food is always delicious. The lunchtime menu is great for a quick catch up with friends. The takeaway tastes as good as the restaurant too! Highly recommend

Requires updating. Not changed in 20 years. Décor dated. Food is good but no better than any other similar restaurant.

Long-time go-to restaurant for three generations of aficionados - good take away food, service with a smile and chuckle, and great value for money. And the ribs keep my mother quiet for ages - bonus!

Had an enjoyable meal with family. Nothing can doubt the quality of food or the standard of service. I would highlight the dirty sticky carpets which your shoes stick to in the restaurant.

Returned to Peking Palace. Usual friendly welcome from staff. Food quality just as excellent. Always rely on them to provide the goods. Only fault is the dirty and sticky carpets!

I was through in Glasgow on a weekend trip catching up with friends and family and popped in here just before closing time. The staff were very accommodating at that time of night. The food was fantastic and the vindaloo was by far one of the hottest I've tasted! Thank good I ordered the madras which was tasty with a nice kick to it. Brilliant service, Excellent staff and crackin food. 10 out 10.

This used to be a cracking Chinese restaurant, especially for lunch. The last few visits have been poor. The staff hover wanting to sell vastly overpriced soft drinks and the quality and quantity of food has slipped.We will not go back.

I have been here several times now.The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere and staff are efficient and friendly.There is also one of the best cold water fish tanks i've seen in a long time.You could just sit and watch the fish for ages.Very therapeutic.The food is very good indeed.I'm a great fan of sizzler dishes.On this trip i had beef and onion in black bean sauce with fried rice.It was delicious.I had no starter or dessert,as the main dish portion was so large i could not finish it.My other family members had beef kung-po and a beef satay sizzler. I tried a little of both and they were equally delicious.We all shared prawn crackers and had drinks and coffees.The bill came to £48 for three.The quality of the food presented makes it well worth it.The restaurant is easily accessible on East Kilbride Roads left hand side heading toward Nerston.Its right next to the brightly lit Blue Rupee Indian Restaurant,so you can't miss it.I've always gone by car so unfortunately,i cant comment on public transport accessibility. It's a lovely place for a quiet meal.Do give it a try.

Try not to go for takeaways too often but when we do this is a favourite and the food is consistently good. Recommend it highly.

We have used Peking palace for years now, however less so recently. Standards seem to have slipped over the years and we have been completely put off by tonight's experience.Order:-2x fried rice- 1x chicken balls-1x sale and pepper chickenUpon returning home from purchasing our Friday night take away from the Peking Palace, I realized there were black clumps of burnt rice amid my fried rice which, into the bargain, was cold.When I called to make my feelings about the dinner known the girl who answered had little/ no customer service skills and, despite airing my frustration, she was unable to understand that this had completely ruined our meal. Standards have seriously slipped over the last few years and this is just one of a number of bad experiences I've had at here.I definitely won't be back to COLLECT my free fried rice, thanks.

Great Chinese food served here whether you sit in or get a takeaway. Friendly staff and great selection on the menu.

Had dinner here for the first time in a couple of years, was disappointed back then too. This place was a very good Chinese restaurant but seems to be living on through its past good reputation. Service has never been great but food always excellent, on this visit I can only describe our meal as ordinary. Peking Palace does a roaring trade for takeaways so think that's what keeps this place going. Time for a shake-up starting with a décor makeover !

I just had my first meal from Peking Palace and I don't think I'll order from their again. I got over charged after I ordered chicken chow mein and got chicken and king prawn, didnt order it but got charged at least £10 for it. I had king prawn fried rice, I did not like it one bit, loads of pea's and bits of ham?? very odd.. curry sauce was runny and had a strange blandish taste, .. I wouldn't go back.

went for lunch Monday afternoon with my wife and daughter and was treated to tasty freshly cooked food with 2 courses only £7 great value for money waiter staff were attentive without being overbearing the restaurant is a little dated but apart from that no complaints at all great food great service and didnt break the bank would defo recommend giving it a try

I have been going to the Peking palace for over 20 years! I've been on Xmas day, Saturday evenings, and lunch time and every service is the same as usual, very high! Also home delivery which I have never had a problem with.I love the chicken satay and fillet steak canotinese is a favourite!Keep up the good work guys!

I have been going to this wee place for 20+ years and it never ceases to amaze me how good the food is, I have never had a bad meal, I have introduced friend and colleagues over the years and they all keep going back too, we even had our works Christmas lunch here last year.

Had a takeaway on Friday 31st July 2015....set meal for two which I called & collected within 15 minutes which was super, I haven't used Peking Palace for a while although just as great as I remember it.... Definitely one of the best takeaways in the area ...will be back soon for sure

It had been years since I visited the Peking palace but glad I went back great place locally. Food was good and staff were nice. Only thing the restaurant good do with a bit of TLC still same decor as last time which was about 10 years ago. All in all worth a visit.

My husband & I eat here regularly, the food is amazing & and staff very polite & helpful. The place could be doing with a makeover it's been the same decor for years. A bit pricey compared to other restuarants in the area but definitely worth it

We've used this restaurant and take away for over 25 years...ok the decor hasn't changed much in that time but who likes change when the place works?I can honestly say it's the best Chinese/Cantonese food I've had in all the cities I've lived in and always pop in for food when visiting Glasgow. Ample parking and the staff are great. I recommend anything sizzling and the chicken satay

Appalling service from manager Jenny!! Driver called to say food was on its way 15 mins after called, initially thinking that great for a Friday night but then 45 mins later Food was sitting in a car for over an hour and driver In a different town. Called Jenny( who was supposed to call us back right away) who was arguementitive and wasting more of our time on pedantics- we refused the order on basis of crap service from Jenny and our food sitting in a car for an hour!!

Go here as often as I can. Salt in chilli chicken is superb. I go here with the Mrs and take the kids. No hassle at all. Pricey food but worth the extra

Home delivery - reception staff completely awful, no words to describe, order was wrong due to their mistake and could hear said staff in background telling the 'manager' how he wasn't sorry..terrible shocking and rude.

Myself and five others dined here on Saturday 15th November 2014, and all of us absolutely raved about the food. It was exceptional! The staff were super attentive and the waiter called Chris was hilarious. We were offered a round of liqueurs at the end of our meal also which was a nice touch. I have never eaten such amazing Chinese food! Really out of this world. We had several rounds of Tiger beers, soft drinks and two bottles of wine, starters, mains, sides and plenty of rice and noodles and it was £70 per couple! Superb value and a wonderful dining experience with great friends. Can't wait to return!

We go for lunch on set menu, quick service in and out within lunch hour. Good food. Easy parking. Good staff.

Just had my first meal here after 6 years away and although the food is still of a high standard the restaurant and outside signage badly needs upgraded. Our party of 4 almost didn't go inside when we saw how rundown it looked. Real shame as the food is great and the Peking Palace has been a bit of an institution growing up but it needs to move with the times.

We have eaten twice here in the last few weeks and both times have been delighted with service, staff, quality and presentation of food. I agree that the restaurant could be doing with a bit of a make over but it won't stop us going and enjoying the lovely food on offer. I've deducted a point for the toilets as I felt they could be cleaner

Not the first time ordered food 18:18 told delivery 19:10 arrived 19:35 so refused when called shop was verbally abused u don't understand we very busy I said yes I do understand you very busy you told me fifty minutes if was going to be later you should of stipulated this my husband ordered previously at 17:00 for 20:00 however they forgot again said their busy service appauling will not use again and our friends feel the same and will still spread the word.

Just had another really enjoyable meal, as usual. Beats any city centre restuarants by far. We have never been disappointed. Praise must go to Jeni, William and staff for always making us feel welcome.

Always great food and service whether sitting in or taking away. Quality is consistent and there is a good selection on the menu.
