Had plastic in my chips!!! Then the chicken on top of that! No need , just disgraceful like trying to make someone unwell at this point. Was not happy at all , had sung sing a few times and it’s been good but no idea what’s happened this time round. Maybe check your food to see if it’s acc edible than putting plastic and not cooking it right

Can't fault the takeaway I had from here at the weekend. The food was fresh, spicy, and delicious. The staff were very friendly too.

After having takeaway for a few years I ordered my usual tonight. Amongst other meals. It arrived with chilli. When I called to report this stating I had asked for extra mild was told zi should have said no chilli. I told the lady on the phone (who was very nice) that I ordered the way I always did, she informed me that the kitchen would not do anything about it. I will not be going back

Ordered a big Chinese order on a sunday evening for 4 adults and 2 kids for a special 76th birthday celebration, on speaking to the Scottish girl on the phone she came across as being arrogant and rude while taking the order ending the call saying it would be a 1.5 hr wait fair enough .. Order arrived with both chicken fried rice missing at a cost of £7.80 each I called back she said we didn't order the chicken fried rice we 100% did order the rice after paying £96.80 for the order...the same girl had a disgusting attitude on the phone in fact shocking customer service, ended the call with her. Certainly put a dampener on the evening and most definitely will not be ordering from Sung Sing Chinese in Haddington again !

Made the mistake of trying here again as the best place was closed. Items missed from meal deal. The lemon chicken had to redone and the chips were part cooked! Portions are tiny! I can see why the recent reviews have all been shocking. Stay well clear!

First takeaway from sun sing in a long time , Chicken fried rice and a curry sauce Chicken tiny pieces with no flavour at all , rice hardly any flavour , curry sauce thick and not very nice at all , lumpy almost . Deep fried shredded beef in honey and ginger sauce , again not what I know to expect , no nice coating on the deep fried shredded beef , a dry and and grim looking with just some sweet and sour sauce basically at the bottom with two tiny pieces sorry slithers of sliced carrot , Soft noodles Ok but no nice flavour which you expect from noodles in a wok, basically bland Last chance from us , not ordering again. You be better with a microwave Chinese meal …

Ordered from here for for years but the new female owner is rude and unhelpful at best. Special curry had 1 prawn, no pork and next to no beef but millions of onion! Watery sauces, cheep meats used, no taste, cold food and chicken balls had the smallest bit of chicken I’ve ever seen! Plus we were over charged! Shocking behaviour! Stay well clear of this absolute shambles of a takeaway!

Absolutely shocking place. Got the wrong order after waiting 2 hours for me and the wee ones meal. It was burnt and cold then got cheek of the woman and told to go and get a refund if I wasn't happy! If I was gonna go get a refund I would of collected in the first place! Stay clear

Lemon chicken ordered and when it came it was in sweet and sour sauce??? Told that's what it is... Eh don't think so... Returned! Items missing and refused to deliver out what was incorrect and missing. Stay well clear! Shamles of a place! Go else where people.

Best Chinese in Haddington. At the weekend I would advise picking up in as little time as 15 minutes. Delivery can take over an hour.

Order came wrong. Food came cold. When we phoned back we spoke to VERY rude woman over phone who stated our order was correct and nothing they could do about it and were eager to get us off the phone, not even a sorry. This was our regular and will not be back.

I got a beer and mushroom chow mein and it was absolutely beautiful, lots of meat and mushrooms also I got free chicken wings, they were crispy and very tasty. Best I've ever had

We have ordered from Sung Sung in the past and, apart from it taking a very long time to arrive, have found the food and prices reasonable. This evening we ordered a green Thai chicken curry and a green Thai vegetable curry. When the food arrived we had a chicken curry and one containing various types of unidentifiable meat. We phoned up and explained that we had the wrong curry. The lady on the phone told us just to eat it. When I told her that I am vegetarian she suggested I pick the meat out. Even if that was something I was prepared to do there would have been nothing but a few pieces of onion to eat anyway. She rather snippily told us we could wait an hour for a replacement if that’s what we wanted. We asked for a refund and she told us there was no way to give us one other than to take the money off a future order. We gave up at this point. I had dry rice, prawn crackers and some rather sad little flat and greasy spring rolls for my tea and we have decided never to reclaim our money and order from the restaurant again!

Delivery was over half an hour late and when the food arrived and wasn't what we expected, the customer service was horrendous. One of our party has an allergy to red food colouring and the lemon chicken arrived covered in sweet and sour sauce coloured with food colouring. Upon calling to check this was correct we were just told this is how it is here and we should have mentioned the allergen before hand! Had it been a dish we would have expected the allergen to be in we would have avoided it. Definitely would not order again, terrible attitude.

Thought we would have a change tonight so went to Sung Sing and was very pleasantly surprised I must say . We had house special chow main chicken in batter sweet sour sauce . The meal was plentiful and not greasy at all . A very nice meal was had . Will definitely be going back.

Our family ordered a takeaway and after waiting over an hour and a half for food our order was incorrect. After advising the takeaway about this we were told that they would not be able to deliver the missing items and we were met with terrible customer service. We will not be ordering from the takeaway again and we will be advising family and friends likewise.

Have used this restaurant for many years, excellent food, great value for money and quick service. Great for sit in food or for take away, we highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a lovely family meal here & service & food was second to none. Food was served quickly & efficiently & was piping hot. Mussels in black bean sauce were particularly excellent. Very reasonable on price & a fantastic atmosphere. Staff very attentative, we will definately be back!

On holiday for a week in East Linton and having spent a day site seeing in Edinburgh my husband and I decided to seek out a good Chinese Restaurant. We decided to try the Sung Sing in Haddington, this turned out to be an excellent decision we both started with a hot and sour soup which couldn't be faulted. My husband then ordered chicken curry with fried rice, I went for the chicken char char with boiled rice both meals were top notch. I was too full fo do a desert justice but my husband ordered a banana fritter with ice cream the portion would have been enough for two to share, so of course I sampled it! Very nice indeed!! The service throughout was top notch and couldn't be faulted. On the way out we collected a take away menue and will definitely return if staying in the area again.

This restaurant has courteous and friendly staff, and the food is always to a high standard. Does a great trade in carry out too, but for a meal in a nice quiet environment with great food, this is the place to eat.

Ordered 3 x Chicken and Mushroom and 2 x Breast of Chicken Curry with 4 Fried Rice and One Boiled. Chicken and Mushrooms were good, but the breast of chicken in the curry sauce was chewy and well done at ends. Curry sauce was too full of large chopped onion which made the sauce very dense. The x 4 fried rices were all put in to 1 big bowl instead of 4 separates. Boiled rice was very sticky and heavy and stuck together. Asked for 3 teas and one coffee. Teas all done in one pot - too strong and coffee was served frozen, had to send back for fresh one. Asked to separate bills, but staff got confused and as a single payer I ended up paying more than asked - £15 for one main course which I could not finish and a small coke!!

We went to Sung sing after reading some disappointing reviews of another restraunt in the town. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly smiling face who showed us to our reserved table. No need to reserve a table as we were the only people there. The menu soon appeared as did some really nice prawn crackers. Thicker and tastier than many I have had. We soon picked three dishes, a chicken, a beef and a prawn dish and a couple of different rice for the three of us to share. The food soon came and it was very eyeable and tasted as good as it looked. The battered King Prawns were lovely and the batter was very good. The other two mains were equally as good.
