the food was bland, the order was on time, but can't believe it took an hour and 5 minutes. We live in the same town.

Chips were a bit dry but everything else good. thanks

Soup was good, sweat & sour chicken was awfully chicken tough and absolutely no flavour very disappointed!

Was visiting family who had moved into the area, was recommended by neighbour, will definitely order again

Ordered a delivery for family and food was awful. Crispy Chicken was not crispy! Very soggy and so were the ‘Extra Crispy’ chips. Contacted restaurant and spoke to staff who were rude, said he was the Owner!! Absolutely disgusting attitude from restaurant and gave £15 back from a £70 order. We won’t be back!

The “manager” who would not give his name was extremely rude on the phone stating he gets threats constantly that people will give bad reviews, says it all really!

Manager stated that he gets reviewed like this everyday and no one posts online, says it all really!

Ordered a home delivery and it was a massive disappointment. Don't normally order here as it's about £2-3 per dish/side more expensive than alternatives, however we were gifted just eat vouchers and was excited to try this place but the food was worse quality than rivals and smaller portions. £8 for 5 tiny chicken wings, chicken in batter had 8 tiny balls. So basically we paid more money, for less food that also wasn't as good elsewhere - absolutely not worth the money and we won't be back. Almost £45 for 2 dishes, chow mein, rice and a starter and it was 1 plate for two adults...ouch!

Terrible value for money. We don't normally order from here as it's quite expensive compared to other Chinese places but we were gifted meal vouchers so went with it and I was really shocked at the tiny portions of mediocre food. Not worth the money.

Just home from our meal & we are all disappointed. The food was nice, no complaints about the taste but the restaurant was freezing so the food got cold as quickly as we did. Price- very high, £13 per dish as a minimum, which would be acceptable somewhere else but we were in a very basic setting & seated in the takeaway runway, we did not buy any drinks. Delivery drivers & staff were backwards & forwards with the door opening & letting in more cold. There was just nothing special about the place, it did not feel like a treat as a meal out should & the hygiene of our server was also off putting We would not revisit The takeaway was very popular. We did miss the free prawn crackers we get in every other restaurant

Food was warm and tasted okay, but we waited over 2 hours for delivery. If we’d known it would take that long, wouldn’t have ordered.

I have had food hear alot in the last 15years. I am very disappointed to see the, food quality slowly go downhill. Firstly, theres been a dramatic price increase within 3months. ChChicken chowmain was £8.50 and now £9.80! £1.30 increase on most main meals. pluss dramatic increase in everything else. The chowmain lacked flavour, i asked for extra sauce but it was the first time i had a greesy chowmain. Chips reheated, chicken balls over cooked, sweet & sour sauce was bland. Very disappointed!

I telephoned after half an hour late. They said the courier had just left. I phoned after an hour late and they said they had been busy and seemed unconcerned. Why give delivery times if they are unable to keep to them.

Take away meal - for 1 , delivered £21 . King prawn , black bean sauce & rice - disgusting 🤮. Sauce flavourless and like water ...... Horrible experience

This restaurant appears to benefit mainly from deliveries and take away meals thereby concentrating on the lesser important aspects of business, dining in customers. The have failed purely on the basics of table service. Staff seem to spend lots of time on phones rather concentrating on customers in their presence. Initially the welcome was far from warm or encouraging. Drinks available are served from 2 ltr plastic bottles that seem either passed by expiry date, or the lemonade and Cola was flat from lying over several days. When pointed out the staff member attending said she might be able to give a replacement, a statement that appeared by full of negativity. Main course plates were brought to the table and place in front of customers COLD rather than pre warmed. The main course was served in bits and pieces with long gaps between items adding to more waiting time and colder food. The food was rather less tasty than described, I could hardly wait to leaving the establishment. On my way to the main entrance/exit I opted to use the gents toilets only to notice that the front rim inner of the toilet bowl was very badly stained but I could hardly guess from what, but it was not fresh and looked like it would benefit from a bit of attention and effort from one of the cleaning staff. This establishment has me in some doubt about its internal hygiene judging by staff lack of enthusiasm.

YUM! What a meal. We got a takeaway tonight and it did not disappoint. The girl on reception was amazing, she answered all my gluten free enquiries and helped me with the order. Not only was there gluten free options, the gluten free food was so good! My dad also wants to add that the hot and sour soup and beef curry was one of the best he has ever had. Highly recommend 😁

Service was terrible arrival meant to be 20 past 6 came far to early and I wasn’t even home yet then got a mouth full when I got home.

Our last meal was very disappointing. Watery sauces with no taste. Bouncy chicken and a lack of an acceptable quantity of chicken and beef. Very dissatisfied, will not be using again.

Was sent a notification at 20.40 to say it was on route but didn't turn up til 21.30, order was put in at 19.50. Food was alright but sauce leaking all over the bag.

Placed an order of £46 last chicken chow mein had no taste, beef a green pepper bland salts chilli ribs was like trying to eat stick!twice now won’t be using them again for sure didn’t get refund from last time we sent whole meal back as it was same but gave them the benefit of doubt but not impressed at all kx

1 Chow mein was missing but granted it was a huge order of 17 items so understandable. Everything else was spot on and absolutely delish! Thank you definitely the best Chinese around here!

great service food on time and still decently warn but absolutely ridiculous being charged nearly £6 for 4 bits / 1 slice of prawn toast is beyond a joke.

Ordered the food for delivery ASAP so was disappointed when it showed as being delivered 60-80 minutes after ordering. After 90 minutes we phoned the restaurant who were very rude and unapologetic they lied and said we had ordered it to be delivered at 20:30. When it was pointed out that the time of the call was 20:35 they said it would only be 10 minutes. Phoned again at 21:00 and was told a bunch of nonsense about having to wait before they start cooking. The chicken was chewy and tasted bad.

Food arrived three hours after order was made, and one hour and fifteen minutes later than estimated time. As a result, food was cold and soggy.

Order came 2.5hrs after first ordering. Estimate at checkout was 50-70 mins. That quickly changed to 80-100 mins then it finally arrived. An hour after the “estimated delivery time of 19:20”. Food tastes like a lot of it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Will never order from here again.

The rice wrapped chicken starter was all mushy and stuck together. The prawn and chicken chow mein was lovely though.

Honestly the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Sauces were like water and oil. Beef like rubber and never even tried the chicken it looked that bad. Got notification that it was on way 5 minutes before it arrived but must have been lying about for an hour as it was freezing cold when I got it. Got a cheek with the prices as well.

The Singapore rice noodles are flavourless and soaked with grease and the rice was the same. I know this is entitled but still every other takeaway does this so you never think to order separately, no free prawn crackers with the order.

Shocking, was told it would be delayed ended up not coming at all! Waste of money.

The food itself wasn’t the best. The sweet and sour pork had soggy batter with a chewy unpleasant texture and the sauce was very vinegary. The special fried rice was bland and the peking ribs were barely edible, meat so tough it was impossible to take it off the bone. Will not be ordering from there again

Really dissapointed. Every dish was so so salty apart from the szechuan. I did order salt and chilli chips and chicken but it was so salty it was inedible (and I like it quite salty) the satay chicken tasted like wet dog. The sauce was just salty water. Won't order again.

Food arrived 2 hrs 20mins after ordering. Initially told there would be a 75-85 mins order time which is fine if you know that, but it then arrived another hour after that. Shame as the food was good, but I wouldn't use again for the delivery time.

Previously this was my go to for chinese, food was great. 5 years later food isn't as described grilled chicken shouldn't be coated in batter! Won't be back

Pretty bland if I’m honest. Everything was tasteless and fell way short of expectations. Not what it was like about a year ago when I last used it.

I forget every time how this restaurant takes orders stating there is a 50 minute wait for delivery, and it nearly always arrives two hours later. The food was mediocre. I won’t ordered again

They sent one of the wrong dishes. I rang, they were happy to accept it and had the right one delivered in a few minutes. All the food was great.

I frequently order from the China Garden and the quality of the food can be variable…sometimes exceptionally good and occasionally, like this evening, dreadful. The food is much better mid week than at the weekend…don’t think I’ll be ordering again at the weekend…sorry

Was very greasy. I prefer a drier, less oily chow mein. Spring rolls wet with oil, there was a pool of oil in the bag.

Food arrived late after me having to call them to find out where it was, food came and sauce was burst out of the container and all in the insid if the bag, the rest of the food was covered, chicken was horrible. China garden have recently put their prices up and I'm sorry but it's absolutely isn't justified for the food that they are providing! I was a returning customer for many years to China garden and I absolutely will not be back!

We have been coming here for take aways for a few years now it has never been great but generally better than the other take aways available , but the Prices have gone up quite considerably and the quality of the food is now dire !! ordered food yesterday and was shocked at the price , when serving out ,the dishes looked revolting !! Chicken curry was so pale in colour obviously watered the sauce down and it was spot the chicken? it should have been oinion curry ! it was awful and went in the bin ! Chicken Chow Mein was also dire , the chicken was so dry and the meal bland ! We will never use again !

Very disappointing dinner. Used to eat here quite regularly but hadn’t been back for a while. It’s always been lacking in atmosphere as it obviously catered mainly to take aways but the food was pretty good. Not any more. Bland, tasteless and expensive. Won’t be back

My order was as good as always just a shame half of my curry was inside the plastic bag !

Food itself was decent, but waited over an hour and 40 mins overall. Portion wasn’t massive so confused as to why the long wait. Delivery boy couldn’t find the house and told us he drove around our street for 15 mins. Eventually had to go and find him. Food was soaking wet and lukewarm by the time I got to him and he said that I needed a door number. You need a new pair of eyes more like. Surely if you were driving up and down street for 15 mins could’ve just walked up to the door and had a look for yourself? Not impressed.
