Best salt and pepper king prawns!

Found a rat rifling through my egg fried rice and the salt n pepper chicken was raw pink inside and more chewy than a chewit, don’t go to this place unless your suicidal want to die by food poising

Poor quality chicken never again

Ordered king prawn satay and it had bits of chicken in it, as a pescatarian this is not on! Also absolutely tasteless and so watery I could have drank it

Poor, watered down sauce, and rice was cold and stodgy. Prawn crackers very greasy. Last time I go here. This use to be my go to takeaway but the quality has really dropped on this serving.

Best Chinese in Dumbarton, without doubt. Meal for one is under £8 and includes a starter + main course with rice. The fried rice is so tasty you could eat it by itself.

I had a Sweet and Sour chicken Hong Kong style and fried rice it was delicious

The worst food I have ever tried. I called and the young lady Got my order wrong even though she repeated it back to me. The food was that bad I asked them just to keep the curry. Got My address incorrect. The food places in dumbarton are absolutely shocking. 😫

Went in to collect my order and just as I was handed it, I witnessed a member of staff walk through and SPIT in the kitchen. No idea what on or into but regardless, a disgusting practice in an area where food is prepared. A shame as I've always enjoyed the food here but now makes me wonder what else goes on through the back.

Honastly worst Chinese ever awful taste had chicken chow mien I’ve made way better but was hungry so thought I’d go in for quickness my partner had crispy beef again ruff also doesn’t take much to paint the place and clean big disappointment

It doesn't just taste good it looks good their presentation is excellent and it's only a take away!! Prices are very good value for money it's just one of the best I have ever used and they totally live up to their name!

Found this place while staying nearby on holiday. Delish veggie options, generous portion sizes, fast service. Owner even volunteered to prepare our tofu in fresh oil (rather than oil prev used to fry meat). Place looks run down, but food is great. Highly recommended.

dry tasteless chips, cold clumpy rice could break yer teeth on the salt in chilli chicken but apart from food couldn't understand the manager on the phone when telling her about the food

Although I’ve been visiting Dumbarton for 30 odd years I’ve only recently become a permanent resident and I’ve always struggled to find satisfactory vegetarian options in the local Chinese takeaways. It’s usually just mixed veg in a sauce, so when I passed this place and glanced at their menu more in hope than expectation it was a pleasant surprise to find three tofu dishes. I’ve tried two so far, salt and pepper and Szechuan style and both have been fresh and delicious and a good deal less salty than some. Tofu with black bean sauce next time. The bonuses are that everything else is also delicious and even the meat eaters in the family think the food is an improvement on our usual supplier of fried rice and noodles. New family favourite

This is a take away that offers collection or delivery but only cash payments. The food on offer is pretty standard Chinese take away but it is very tasty, great value and the staff are always friendly on the phone. You can also get offers like meal for one which offers a starter plus main course & either chips or rice and this is a great deal which is more than enough to fill you up.

Ordered here after arriving back late to Dumbarton as was just around from our accommodation. Varied menu, food ready quite quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The prices are cheap. It’s a great choice for an easy dinner.

Good reviews so decided to try and I have to say the food only took 5 minutes to prepare & both were really nice. Only off putting thing is the fact that the front of the takeaway looks filthy - clean it before you open and it would look so more appealing.

I order from silver star most Fridays for me n my family And i havent had a bad meal ever! The food is lovely and the delivery is usually quick unless u order on a Saturday night it can get really busy We dont order from any other chinese except silver star

Try crispy beef in mandarin sauce... good balance of sweet and spicy sauce.. nice and crunchy meat but at the same time soft to the bite... outstanding Consistantly good food from here

Silver stars food is disgusting,had chicken noodle soup,it was bland no spring onions, tasted like dirty dish water, main course was suppose to be chicken breast fried rice,didn't taste very nice,chicken was full of fat,had one spoon full of soup and one fork full of main then threw it in the bin won't be back. The takeaway premises is also rundown and dirty looking.it used to be good,don't know what's happened with it,even the staff that worked there are gone.
