The vegan schezwan chicken was phenomenal!

Can honestly say the best chinese we have had, the food was so fresh and tasty, staff were so attentive and overall a great night 10/10

The food was okay. Slightly overpriced for what you get - but good portions. The ‘special’ fried rice was rather moist and gloopy.

We had a wonderful meal, welcomed warmly by staff and had a relaxing evening just enjoying the moment. The bill at the end was a surprise as it was less than we had thought for a 4 course meal, thank you all at Princess Rose for a great birthday; another one to remember.

Beautiful food. Friendly service. We couldn’t believe how fast the food came! Yes slightly more expensive but we were satisfied with the experience and would return.

Chicken was soaked in potato starch, had a chow mein which was very slimey, king prawns were done in batter £75 for two drink and two meals absolutely awful felt sick after it

Really great food and service. Salt and pepper chicken wings were amazing. Portions were a good size. The prices are a wee bit steep. But overall a nice meal.

First time in since it was refurbished and it didn't disappoint. New gold and black decor is very striking. Excellent meal. Service was quick and friendly and the pricing is good. Catered for my gluten intolerance without issue. Will definitely be back.

Service was quite slow and a bit mixed up but we weren’t in a hurry so it was really ok , well worth the wait though , staff and food was excellent !

Had a buisness lunch here.. must say food was good. However after two courses we were given our bill without being asked if we wanted to order sweet or coffee. When we then asked if we could order sweets waiter told us Not possible as they closed at 2pm & it was now 2.10pm.!! Definitely not how you run a business !!

My husband & I had a lunchtime takeaway. Probably the best Chinese we have ever had. The food was cooked to perfection,the staff friendly & it was very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

The staff were very nice, the beef curry and fried rice I got was awesome my girlfriend got chicken satay and rice it was so nice.

Highly recommend the chow mein, it was fantastic. The spring rolls were good too.

Got a takeaway on Monday 20 Aug as staying in the caravan park behind the restaurant. It had to be the worst we have eaten. Not one of us finished the four different dishes we ordered. I wondered if we had leftovers from Sunday. Only ordered from there as it was only nearby Chinese open on a Monday .

Very nice inside and very attentive staff food was excellent. However one thing really let the place down, I ordered onion rings as a side dish when they arrived they were the cheap frozen Iceland ones!!!! They were disgusting and almost £7!!! The rest of the food was a very high standard. Why would they serve such dross? I normally wouldn't complain bit I did and told the server if they could not do them correctly they should remove them from the menu. The server could not care less the lady who took our payment also was uninterested.

We decided to come here after looking at another Chinese restaurant in the area, and that looked like a scout hut, not a restaurant We walked in and were greeted very pleasantly and shown to our table ordered salt and pepper ribs and king prawn satay The salt and pepper ribs were heaven could have had a large bowl, just of them the texture and taste were amazing. The satay sauce used on the prawns was just the right amount of sweetness beautiful The mixed meat mandarin with noodles was perfect loads of meat and the sauce, not too sweet, the onions just the right amount of crunch The service was the best I'd received in Balloch polite friendly and incredibly attentive thank you very much. When we are back in the area, you guys will be our first port of call for food

Went to the princess Rose on the 13th aug 2024 for my daughters birthday with 10 people, The service was amazing, felt they couldn’t do enough for us, made us all very welcome , the food was delicious, everyone commented on how nice their dish was, would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back

Very disappointed went here for a birthday meal with my family when I walked in it looked lovely inside but the food was of very poor quality and way over priced I got a kids meal and 2 adult meals £75.50

This place has Had full refurbishment. Th sets re v comfortable. The place looks brilliant. You are not cramped next to other tables. Food still good but and bit above average but it dos mean you can have a private chat without other taxes listening in.

Truly superb, a finer Chinese meal than I've had in the centre of Glasgow. A true gem.

Great Chinese bit more than others on cost but worth it

Service was good restaurant comfortable food average got fillet steak but tasted nothing like Fillet more like rump soup was very good chicken and sweetcorn dumplings where disappointing tasteless And we found the a bit pricey

My husband & I had an amazing Chinese at the Princess Rose last night.After reading some of the reviews we were a little hesitant but one of the best Chinese we have ever had. All the food was fresh, good quality ingredients and piping hot. I had prawns as a main course and the were big and cooked to perfection. All the staff were lovely especially the restaurant manager. Restaurant decor beautiful. All in all a very enjoyable evening. If you are visiting in the area I would definitely recommend.

Worst meal I have in a Chinese restaurant

Food poisoning!!!! The absolute worst pain that I have ever been in. Risk it if you dare. I visited on Thursday night. The lady sitting at the table next to us was the one hacking up a lung and being slightly racist and complaining about MSG and ice water and just about everything else. I ordered the combo friend rice and the special spring rolls. Am still sick today (Sunday) . I think perhaps it was under cooked meat or rancid meat. Otherwise the service was good and atmosphere was fine. My memory is forever tainted by the food poisoning though.

This was a joy to experience as the atmosphere and food along with pleasant staff made this a great evening. Very impressed with the decor and food was excellent. We will be back next year for another great dining time.

Ordered crispy beef, chicken, spring rools and dumplings takeaway for the family. Really disappointed hoping for a good chinese in the lomand area. Food was bland, spring rolls soggy however a plus was the prawn crackers were good.

Having travelled 370 miles to visit family, we chose this restaurant for our meal together... only to be rushed out in an hour. Don't get me wrong, the food tastes fine, but I'm still unsure whether we were supposed to order to share among each other, or one dish per person? Overall, very expensive fast food.

Standard Chinese food menu that is probably just above average. It is very expensive for what it is though (£5.50 for rice anyone!) £11 per person for a miserly mixed starter. These are above top-quality Glasgow city centre Chinese restaurant prices. The staff were nice enough to a large group though.

Despite eating in the Princess Rose since the Wonderland days (1981 onward), I hadn't been in for a few years, the refurbishment looks pretty good and the newly formed adjunct has created a handy additional dining area for at a guess 30 covers, even if busy there's more chance of success with an on the day booking or as a walk in. The food was excellent, albeit we thought overpriced. Shared 1 portion of BBQ Ribs, shared 1 portion of Fried Rice, King Prawn Dish, Beef Dish, and two soft drinks cost £65.00.. ouch ! A couple of small touches are needed.. Paper table napkins ! C'mon guys, this should be and was, for a long time, the premier Chinese outlet in the shire, no drink mats at the table either..

The food and ambience were average; however, we had a terrible experience during our lunch visit. The waitress we felt was racist to us. While she was very pleasing to other customers, most of whom were locals, she was rude to us. She was mean and lectured us about food sharing simply because my husband, not feeling hungry, only ordered a drink but decided to taste my soup. Apparently, according to the waitress, the restaurant has strict guidelines on how to consume the food for which you are paying. It was neither a buffet nor an unlimited service, so imposing such restrictions seemed unwarranted. We are Indians based in the UK for years now and have never experienced such disturbing behavior from anyone before. After we asked not to be served by her, one of their other employees apologized to us. However, the entire incident compelled us to leave the restaurant mid lunch.

Food was nice and portions were decent. Staff were very attentive but atmosphere was a bit dull with no good music to lighten the mood.

Got a salt and pepper munchy box from here. Chips were overcooked, dry and bland, chicken balls were flavourless and stodgy, spare ribs had hardly any meat, curry sauce was saltier than a sea bass. No free prawn crackers either which is common with most chinese establishments. Cash only which is a nuisance as don't usually carry cash, and felt price overall was a tad higher than most places for a similar item. Shame as I will try most places once.

Fantastic food Great staff quick service even though it was a bit pricey it's still worth it I will be back.

Food is not as good as the last time we visited before the change of owner

We went on Saturday the 24th of February. The restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign, nice place and nicely decorated. Service was very good and the meal it's self was lovely. The only down side is that it seems very very expensive. £48 for just two main meals, a coke and a ginger beer and lime. No starters or desserts.

Delicious food at a really reasonable price with their lunch menu! If we're ever back in Balloch I will be visiting again!

Waited 2 hours for food when phoned was told driver left ages ago. Waited a further 20mins (I live 5mins away) to phone back to then be told that the driver is just leaving. I understand that it can be busy but over 2 hours wait when I get told via email it is 20 minute delay. The rice was stodgy, noodles and sauce cold. Won't be using again. Never had these issues with previous management sad as loved princess rose.

Had dinner recently my wife had found a hair in her rice,manager came over offered more rice but we said no thanks. As we left not a word said regarding our incident Disappointing and unprofessional to say the least.

Food was good very friendly staff, only thing I would say is a bit expensive for three mains and three soft drinks sixty eight pounds.

I dont often leave reviews, but i need to voice that you have managed to take the best tasting curry for miles around, to the absolute worst one for miles around. Been eating here for years, and was quite honestly disappointed with the food, as soon as the Restaurant was taken over, but the curry i had last night, was awful. Just going from bad to worse. Will not be back! Read a review that you kept the same chefs, dont think so, defo not made the same.

Been going here since original restaurant opened but won't be back standard of food poor, Peking ribs were tough and not a lot of meat, both duck and other spring rolls were tasteless and meat minced rather than shredded. Combi curry bland,watery and again tasteless, chicken, ginger & pineapple looked as if it had been poached, no colour very unappetising to look at. Chicken satay was ok but not great. Both boiled and fried rice were overcooked, stodgy and noodles dry. Owners need to improve quality also person who took order on phone, I had to repeat myself often he didn't know his own menu.

Ordered a pick up of food. Food was cold had to heat it up before eating. Food not good all rice and mains re- heat food. Would not go back. Restaurant just refurbished. Not good for business at all. Food put in the bin. Tasted awful not worth the money.

The food was lovely and we all really enjoyed our meal, the restaurant also looks amazing following its refurbishment and the staff were great. Our only criticism is the portion size of our starters. We appreciate that costs have increased for the hospitality industry, but honestly, the size provided for the cost is just not worth it, quality of dim sum was not to same standard as the rest of our food either. We will definitely return to the restaurant as the main dishes were lovely but would not order starters on our next visit.

Singapore Chow Mein was lush! Salt and pepper was delicious! The new refurbishment looks amazing. 10/10 would come back again.

. I must say the food is an improvement. And the refurbished restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately the prices have been hiked up to cover the cost of the refurbishment. Nice food but far too pricey. Can’t see it lasting.

Booked here for Christmas dinner, arrived at 14:50 for table booked for 15:00, got drinks within 10 minutes, starters took 30 minutes to arrive after order & then 1 hour 30 minutes after we were finished a member of the family had to go & remind staff to clear out starter plates, waited a further 30 minutes after this for the mains, food was good, service was none existent for large periods, Christmas Day, it’s busy, I get it, but everyone else in the room who arrived after us were getting served no problem, they were on desserts while our starters were being cleared, not impressed, needs to improve table service.

Closed for renovation until December. Hopefully the new menu will be as varied and as tasty.

I've known about thos place for 20 years. Tried it today and it wasn't bad at all but it wasn't anything special either. Ir didn't justify its prices food wise, I've had much better food for half the price (with a lot less fancy surroundings granted) in London.

Booked a table last minute and they fitted us in. It was the best food we have had in years.. can not fault anything. Good luck with the refurb.. shutting for 3 months means they know the customers will be back. Shame we live in cambridgeshire!!!

Easily worst chicken ive had in a chinese takeaway. Charge £14 to sit in for a curry and serve cheap boiled slimy chicken. Kids omelette was about the only thing that was ok also paid for 3 prawn crackers which we never got service could have been better also but id definitely avoid this place. £177 for 4 main courses 5 kids dinners and 9 cans of juice. Vile no ** it may only have 4 thumbs up but it has over 1k views and that’s what I wanted to achieve as long as people know this place ain’t worth spending their money at then that’s fine with me

i am giving 1 star due to service and the chicken curry which was nice but my daughter had beef chow mien and it looked disgusting with weird sauce poured over top and tasted of just the tasteless sauce, wasn't nice at all, place is over priced as you need to pay for rice separately and 3 of us ordered rice and portion that they spooned on plate wasn't definitely not worth the money charged for 3 portions. 🤣🤣 this was over 2 years ago 🤷

To be honest the food was OK but not the best. I found it to be very over priced more like Glasgow centre prices. However what made it a bad experience for us was that the owner spent most of his time on the phone in the restaurant talking constantly very loudly & totally spoilt the experience for us, he had no respect or the manors to conduct his business put of ear shot. Sorry will never go back.
