The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Edinburgh and Lothian

I almost want to gatekeep this place but it wouldn’t be fair! It is so delicious, reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. Highly recommended.

Incredible authentic Chinese food at an amazing price. So glad that Chop Chop have been able to bring their amazing food back after closing their restaurant a few years ago. Highly recommend the unlimited banquet to enjoy all their delicious dishes.

We stumbled across this place whilst trying to find somewhere to eat on a Saturday night. They had one last table and we dived in. The owner was so so welcoming and super helpful, recommending what to try and explaining how the menu worked. We’ve done countless Chinese/Japanese/Korean BBQs but never one combined with a hot pot. Fabulous food! Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely come back next time we’re in Edinburgh

Excelente comida china auténtica, tuvimos Char Sui, huevo y arroz hervido. me recuerda el tipo de comida que solía tener en Hong Kong.

La comida india más fresca preparada y entregada súper rápido por un grupo muy amable de personas. ¡Definitivamente soy un habitual por una razón! Gran valor también.

Lovely experience here went with a few friends and shared some plates. The place were bigger than I expected and I was pleasantly after the end which I didn’t expect as sometimes when you eat at these small places you do leave feeling hungry. We got three dishes per couple which I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of going. I don’t remember what I got unfortunately, but the menu all looked really good.

Family run. Very authentic. Most importantly, great taste. We had the rainbow dumplings of course which is a great way to try the range of dumplings. Also the braised pork belly was tender and flavorful. Great with rice.

As a chinese, I would say everything is not quite there but the idea is there. The sweetness of the fat of the beef flank is very commendable though. Also the roasted garlic oil is not bad I got the garlic beef flank noodles with wantons. However for Asian food in Edinburgh, this would be one of the more authentic places

Mi parter y yo visitamos después de ver las grandes críticas. ¡No nos decepcionaron! Cada elemento en el menú era fantástico. Tuvimos las ollas calientes picantes y calientes y nos quedamos muy impresionados. Las rodajas de carne de res y cerdo eran frescas y sabrosas y a mi pareja le encantaron las opciones de mariscos también. ¡Asegúrate de tener un poco de tofu frito para agregar a tu olla! También tuvimos demasiadas albóndigas. Simplemente delicioso.

If the restaurant actually existed, it may have been the best ever place we’ve eaten at. As it turns out Shangri La is probably an apt name for a restaurant which is imaginary. Unfortunately we walked for about a mile and half to discover its been repurposed as a shop.

The dishes made by Mian Mian Ju Dao are indeed amazing! The biggest achievement of coming to London today is to find this authentic Chinese restaurant. I didn't think of taking pictures until I was almost done eating, but this traditional steamed turbot fish was simply amazing. The first course, sea cucumber and scallop soup, was rich in aroma and delicious, leaving a lingering aroma in the mouth. Highly recommended. If you come here, I highly recommend trying these dishes. There are also mutton skewers and beef skewers. They are fresh, tender, and chewy in the mouth. In one word, what I ate today is so enjoyable!

OMG por dónde empezar. Toda la comida se unió, entrantes y principal! ¡Entonces se llevaron los tazones de comida cuando los necesitábamos para comer! Pedí una botella de House White y vinieron dos vasos! La comida era agradable, pero pasó frío muy rápido. No volvería y £ 80 billete, no valió la pena!
