Vicino alla stazione di Haymarket. Bisogna prenotare. Locale piccolo, frequentato da pochi turisti e da molti cinesi. Servizio rapido e cortese. Tavoli con piastra riscaldata al centro. Abbiamo preso carne, pesce e vedure, da immergere in una pignatta a 2 scomparti (altri tavoli avevano pignatte da 3). Nel nostro caso i brodi (molto caldi), erano uno piccante (moltissimo per me) e l'altro no. Dopo 4/5 minuti, mangiato il contenuto dei brodi siffatti, ripassandolo in una ciotola di salsa con ingredienti da combinare a piacimento. Alla fine immerso nei brodi i noodles secchi, mangiati a sazietà. A parte il piccante, mi è piaciuto molto, ci ritornerei. L'unico inconveniente è stato il pagamento in cash.

Went there yesterday. So satisfied! The buffet is generous. Big portions, variety of sources and soup. Fruit and snacks are on the station. Love the people there, so friendly and attentive. Will be back for sure !

Excellent lunch with family. We had the triple broth hotpot (satay, chicken & hot n spicy) and chose beef, pork and seafood with some vegetables. Absolutely loved it, as did my family who had never been to a hotpot restaurant before 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I would highly recommend this restaurant as it has a wide variety of foods for your hot pot such as different noodles, meats, cold side dishes, vegetables and seafoods, all for a cheap price, the all you can eat style of the restaurant also meant we could try a little bit of everything and it still came out to less than the average hot pot restaurant. The atmosphere of the restraint is also super pleasant. Me and my friends were definitely stuffed by the end.

You could easily walk past this gem and not give it a second look. Authentic and friendly with great hot pot dishes - the scallops, crab and prawn options were our favourites but lots of vegetarian and meat options too. The surroundings aren’t plush but it is great value.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. There were lots of options and we enjoyed the meal. The interior itself is fine; it is quite basic though. We will definitely be back next time we are in Edinburgh.

You had to call over the staff was difficult to communicate what we were after as we were sure of the proper name of some of the mushrooms and such like. Would of been simpler to issue the order sheets again. Found the seafood was still frozen so have to cook longer in the broth. Ticked Chinese leaf but got cos lettuce instead.Quite a small restaurant, we had booked in advance. The options were minimal, expended more to pick from. Wouldn't go here again as the service was lacking and left waiting about in between . Which ruined the experience. At £22 at head it was expensive for half the experience we expected. When we asked for the bill , they took our glasses away even tho there were still drinks in them. Did not ask if we were finished with them, as we wanted to finish them while the bill came.

Glad we tried this, we were given a menu and we were unsure how much we could order-the staff said whatever we wanted. So we ticked off what we wanted. We had two types of broth. Plenty of food, we had refillable cola. Food was lovely and staff were friendly when we were unsure. Cash only-we went at the weekend and paid £21.50 per person and £3 each for a refillable cola.

Amazing food, great choice on menu. First time trying out a hotpot, staff were so friendly and attentive. Loved being able to make our own sauce and staff were more than happy to bring us more food when we asked. Highly recommend the Tom Yum broth. We will be back!

So glad I went here with a friend. The staff welcomed us and seated us promptly, provided the menus and once we made our choices they provided us with a sizable portion of meat, vegetables and, of course, the delicious broths. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the seating comfortable and the food both large in quantity and quality. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Don't be afraid to broaden your horizons if not Chinese and never tried hotpot before. You won't regret it!

Authentic hot pot, all you can eat, amazing quality sea food. We had a fantastic waitress looking after us who offered plenty assistance with the menu and made up all of our amazing dipping sauces for us. Absolutely worth a visit for a different dining experience and a quality scran!

Authentic, tasty! Need to book beforehand. If you order many different dishes, may need to tell the waiter give you less portions of each, otherwise it will be too much to finish.

We never did hot pot before so we were new to the experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you ask them questions. You get a set price and you can order as much as you want for 2 hours. We got the 2 broths. Tom yum kung and curry. Both were amazing but the Tom Yum gets a bit sour if you don’t take out the lime slices. We got several ingredients but our favourites were the ramen noodles, the fish balls, the rice cake and mushrooms. They also have a bar in the middle to get your own sauces (they have bowls to put them there) plus some desserts like fruit and red bean buns. Overall it was a very fun and interesting experience. Would definetly go again.

This was our favourite place we visited in Edinburgh for dinner, we visited on a Monday night around 7pm and it was busy but we only had to wait a few mins for a table (beside the kitchen). The staff were very accommodating to us. This is authentic Chinese hotpot. They have a menu with both Chinese and English and you can tick what you want to eat, and you can choose from about 8 different broths (more variety than the usual Chinese ones). We chose a chicken broth and a curry one and both were delicious but we LOVED the curry one. During the week it is all you can eat for £18pp ! We were impressed, we ate ourselves silly (veggies, noodles, rice cakes, lamb, beef, mushrooms, potatoes etc.) and there were no issues with us asking for more. Our food came within 2-3 mins of ordering it, there's also free refills on juice (from a bottle) for £3 each. There's a little bar with all the condiments, soup and eggs etc. Would absolutely recommend and would defo visit again, exactly like the hotpot in China (except maybe less spicy haha).

Arrived on time, was asked to come back in 10 minutes twice. Finally got seated 25 minutes after our booked time. It was very busy inside so I would definitely recommend booking ahead. Once we had settled in after the chaos at the start of our visit, the food was delicious. Really good value, fresh seafood (crab, squid, scallops etc) lots of veggie and meat options. Good sauce bar with melon and steamed buns too, and the value was really good (17.99 per person all you can eat over 2 hours), if I was to come back again I would probably try and come at a less busy time of day!

Excellent meal very authentic and really tasty. We had a great selection of seafood (prawns,scallops, fish balls) pork and beef, various tofus, lots if different veg and noodles. You choose what you would like to cook in the hot pot, there a wide range and multiple choices. . You then choose your hot pot cooking broth. Your food selection is served and you start cooking. Theres a dipping sauce buffet - make your own dipping sauce for your meal from about 20 different ingredients. You can order more food and your cooking broth is constantly topped up. Is £17.99 for all you can eat in the 2 hour reservation. You need to book, its very popular, and lots if walk-ins were turned away - would definitely recconend the food is great, good value and lots if fun.

The food is really good, lots of choice and very good price for what you get. The staff are friendly with plenty of broth top-ups and you can ask for more ingredients during your 2 hour booking. The atmosphere was nice too. It is cash only payment so come prepared.

This can be a crazy place, and a bit old school Chinese, but the pay off in getting a table is a great hot pot and good value feed. My recommendation would be to focus on the seafood and enjoy cooking your own squid, fish balls, mussels, scallops, etc. Service is good and friendly, and they will happily explain the menu and what you need to do to have an enjoyable experience. Recommended experience, and a welcome addition to Edinburgh.

The good is good with fresh vegetable and some seafood. The variety of soup is also a great place to enjoy Chinese hot pot. The smell of the air is a little bit too strong which might be a drawback for close neighbors.

Estoy escribiendo este comentario desde el punto de vista de habiendo entrado el restaurante, pero fue incapaz de conseguir una mesa. Me doy cuenta de que es habitual revisión restaurantes después de comer, pero tengo que decir que esta fue una excepción. Dentro hay mesas que tienen calentadores construido en sus centros donde la comida caliente se mantiene en un periodo de ebullición. El ambiente y los aromas de fuera de este mundo y hubiera pagado extra sólo para conseguir un asiento. Por desgracia, en fin uno tiene que reservar con antelación. La razón para esto es que se admiten dos horas en la mesa y durante ese tiempo puedes comer todo lo que desea. La comida es auténtica China y todo el restaurante estaba lleno de gente oriental. Mucho de la comida que vi mientras yo estaba dentro era nuevo para mí, pero si la gente oriental están comiendo allí usted puede estar seguro de que es "El verdadero McCoy". Volveré a reservar una mesa con antelación la próxima vez que estoy en Edimburgo!

Best experience ever, you can spend a couple of hours easily cooking the meat and fish plus noodles in the big hot pot for which you can share the spice you want in. I normally go for the spicy one and it is great!

Mi novio y yo nos acabamos deseando algunos sopa caliente en el clima frío, ya que es invierno y nos topamos con este restaurante en tripadvisor. Mi esposa y yo estábamos buscando un lugar para ir a cenar y nos encontramos este restaurante de hervidor de este sitio web, así que decidimos probar y tengo que decir que este es uno de la mejor cena que hemos tenido en el Reino Unido. Este restaurante ofrece sólo un hervidor con £16,99 por cabeza y se puede comer todo lo que puede. Sé que es bastante caro comparado con los otros restaurantes de buffet en la ciudad, pero la calidad es totalmente diferente. Teníamos dos tipos de sopa en 1 taza y pedir un montón de mariscos, pescados y carnes. La calidad del marisco y carne eran geniales y no nos decepcionó en absoluto. He estado en una taza caliente lugar en Beijing y queríamos probarlo nuevamente aquí. No fue una decepción. Se paga un importe fijo y tanta comida que quieres poner en la olla. Las camareras era muy servicial con explicar qué hacer y ayudar a hacer salsas. Bebidas muy responsablemente a precios razonables. Sin duda lo recomiendo!

Nunca he oído hablar este lugar antes, pero me encanta caldo caliente y es uno de los pocos (si no los únicos restaurantes calientes en Edimburgo. Es pequeña y un poco estrecha pero merece la pena, es la comida, todo muy fresco y bien preparado. Los precios son excelentes y cafetera siempre es divertido con los amigos. Sin duda visitar más regularmente. El restaurante le vendría bien una renovación, pero estás allí por la comida. El sabor auténtico y siempre está lleno y lleno de pueblo chino (que es siempre un decir cuento señal de que un restaurante chino es bueno) recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar a todo el mundo!

divertido y muy auténtico. Un montón de mariscos y excelentes greens chinos. Si te gusta la comida a ser divertido y estás preparado para conseguir un cierto desorden este es el lugar para usted. Estaba muy concurrido y nos dejaron un poco colgado por qué hacer, pero, qué es lo que sucede solo Dove in. Si no te gusta el marisco, entonces mejor evitar como la selección de carne es un poco limitado.

Nos quedamos aquí esta noche por primera vez. Habíamos reservado pero cuando llegamos, tuvimos que pedir otros comensales para mover mesa para hacer sitio para nosotros. Estábamos entonces sábado contra una arteria que se sentía incómodo y no fue fácil para entrar y salir. El restaurante parecía cansado pero limpio. Nos sentimos nos aseguró que estaba lleno de otros comensales chinos. Nos dijeron que la camarera que nunca habíamos cenado en un restaurante de hervidor antes, pero ella parecía reacio a ayudarnos y tuvimos que supongo que lo que estábamos haciendo durante todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. La comida era fresca, pero prefiero el marisco hasta el plato de carne. Fue triste que nos sentamos junto a una pareja joven chino donde la señorita parecía deleitará en el hecho de que realmente no sabíamos lo que nos estaban haciendo y me sentí como si estuviera vigilados y nos reímos con. I have eaten in Hot Pot restaurants before but this is the first one I will definitely return to. The basic premise of adding noodles, meat, fish and veg to a bubbling cauldron which cooks it is ideal for an informal night out. Lots of good quality food ( including scallop and crab ), amazing value for money, and a lively atmosphere makes for a great meal. Not for people who don't like sharing food or who prefer a more formal setting. Recommended.

Fui por mi cuenta para disfrutar su todo-lo-que-querer para comer buffet hervidor. Me alegré mucho que me aceptaron como cliente en solitario (porque es común que min. 2 personas para hervidor).

Me esperaba una buena cena, pero dejamos el lugar muy impresionados. Tienes un montón por el precio. Y me refiero :) El dos de nosotros no podía terminar la segunda bandeja de comida y sentimos que no debería haber sido así codicioso ;) El marisco fresco y sabroso, ambos caldos (elegimos satay y Tom Yum) eran muy salada, pero ninguno de los artículos era, así que equilibra bien. 12 libras para una botella de vino es también un precio justo, así que no podría ser más feliz! En general, fue una experiencia muy positiva.

Have a lot of Chinese friends and we have this at home often but decided to go out to sample this restaurant. It was first class and they do bottomless drinks. Will definitely be back!

Had a great night at xiangbala. It's 15.99 for a two hour sitting. You get a plastic card that use to choose your ingredients. You then cook them yourself using a Croc pot. The waitress was very helpful as we didn't have a clue what we were doing. LolYou can choose as many items as you wish. The veg was fresh and the seafood was divine. We also tried chicken feet and tealeaf eggs. You can also bring your own bottle. We got a lovely bottle of cava from appellation wines which is only a few doors along. I'm looking forward ti going back again. Give it a try.

The concept is a completely different style of dining from most other places in the UK. £15 per person for 2 hours and you can select two different broths and as much food (to cook yourself) as you like.. there is also an array of sauces to choose and make up yourself at table in the middle of the restaurant. Razor clams, chicken feet and tripe are some of the more unusual menu items. There is a lot of meat, seafood and noodles to choose from as well as pak choi etc. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is amazing! Definitely one of the best restaurants I've just happened to stumble across. I was a bit confused at first but soon got the hang of the whole concept! You have a hot plate on the table and then order whatever you like/as much as you like from the good and varied menu. The noodles were great, the veg was fresh, nourishing and delicious and best of all were the prawns. It's such a cool way to dine out! There's also an excellent selection of spices and seasonings to add to your hotpot to make it how you like it!Would definitely go back. One of the best value meals in Edinburgh!

This is definitely were the Chinese come to eat hot pot. Nice selection of broths and good portions and variety of seafood and meats, just ask and your next selection after you finish the first tray arrives. I had dinner there last night with two big lads and we left after two hours full and content. Play along and have fun there are no airs and graces here, the service is efficient but English is barely a spoken. You are eating off the beaten path in China. Condiments are in tins and jar on a table as is the casserole (lamb) and dumplings.Three covers for dinner and 9 bottles of beer came in at £60 that is great value.I would suggest going as three or four in a group and be prepared for the unusual we had chicken feet brought over to try.

My husband and I love going to Hot Pot places and only get the opportunity when we are in a big city like Edinburgh or London. Xiang Bala had a decent selection for the all-you-can-eat menu and had a nice choice of broths, although we saw the special board after we ordered. I give it 4 stars considering all restaurant experiences in Edinburgh, but only 3 stars as a Hot Pot venue. I like the buffet of sauces, but I didn't like the inconsistency of portion size. The first time we ordered 2 meats, they shared a plate, the next time we ordered 2 meats we received two full plates, twice as much! I felt bad that we didn't eat it all and wasted food. I'd definitely go again, but wouldn't be my main hot pot spot if I were in NYC Chinatown or even London.

This is my second visit to this hot pot place and liking it even more than the first time!Service is simple but efficient and very friendly. Food is good and fresh and for only £15 per head it's a bargain.The restaurant is full of Asian people which is a good sign!!!What is that make it even better is that my Chinese girlfriend feels like being at home!!!!!!One little thing... Try to seat on the opposite side of the door to avoid any draft.

Por suerte no nos gustaron los precios que vimos,y bajando por la misma calle hemos visto este curioso restaurante. Lo que m��s nos invit�� a entrar fue ver que toda la gente que hab��a cenando eran chinos, si ellos comen all�� la comida debe ser aut��ntica. Y as�� ha sido!! Una comida excelente!! Un ambiente genial, las camareras un encanto!! Un sitio muy agradable! L��stima que s��lo este aqu�� por unas mini vacaciones!! Sino sin duda repetir��a!!

This a unique Chinese restaurant where you cook your own meat, fish and vegetables. They bring over anything you pick on a massive platter along with a hot pot with two different stocks of your choice. The pot sits on a hot plate to keep it boiling and you throw in anything you like and it's done in seconds. An interesting experience and can be good fun if you go along with friends. Lots of Chinese people go there, so that's always a good sign.

I cannot describe the awesomeness of xiangbala. We were their first ever customers, and we've been hooked since! On our first time we had hot and spicy broth and oxetail broth (since then they've added about 4 more soup base choices). And for cooking in the broth, there is a long list of raw ingredients that you tick off on their menu- order as many as you want and they bring out this platter of happiness. You can choose from seafood (crab, squid, langoustine, prawns, different types of fishball, prawn mince, etc), veggies (chinese leaf, pak choi, lettuce, dried mushrooms, edible fungus, etc), Meats (thinly sliced pork, beef, lamb etc). You are so spoilt for choice! Once you get all the ingredients, you cook everything yourself in the hotpot on your table. You concoct your own sauce from their dozens of condiments to dip your cooked goodies in. Then there is also, cooked ribs, rice buns and watermelon for anyone to help themselves to. This really is the place to go with friends who love to share good food, as it's such a sociable meal. Not for the lovers of boring food, this is for adventure seekers!

When a friend recommended as a catch up for us, I thought i would try it, it is warm and welcoming place, food is excellant and different to anything i have tried before. You get a soup in a large bowl and cook your own food in this. great could try different combinations, if you are in the haymarket/dalry area give it a go
