Not tasty. The stir-fried beef I had was not very tasty and the meat was too thick. disappointment……

Superb. The most authentic Chinese food I've ever had in the UK.

Concerned about the hygiene issues. We went there twice. Whenever we went there and order different kinds of food, there was a couple of hair inside the food. And then a fly went into the dish which made the food disgusting. Not going back!!

You have to wait for a table when you come, the seats are packed. Everything is delicious. The egg and tomato noodles have a homely taste. The pig's feet noodles are soft, glutinous and fragrant. The children like them very much. The dry pot pork belly and spicy and sour potato shreds are better than those made in domestic restaurants. They are the most satisfying during my trip to Scotland. A meal!

A wonderful authentic Chinese restaurant. A great menu with lots of choice. Very friendly staff and the food was delicious.

Never had a bad experience here. Great food at a decent price. The way taste sets a high bar that's hard to beat.

This place was introduced by a friend, booked a table, but sure can walk in, not big, but comfortable enough. Food was actually so good! Mainly northern Chinese food, a little oily, but it wasn’t bad at all. Portions were big. Staff was nice. Gave us a complimentary cold side dish too. Price was affordable. Highly recommended.

The Guobao Pork is delicious, and so is the tofu. The Bean Curd Beef Brisket Pot is not in the picture but it has a lot of meat and is very tasty. Excellent Chinese food in Edinburgh.

Quite busy, wins on the authenticity and the variety of dishes they can do. One of the handful chinese restaurant in EDI worth visiting. Few months later, I came back to edit this review. Unfortunately, this restaurant is visibly losing its quality of service over time, tonight we ordered our takeaway inside the restaurant, and they forgot to put the rice we ordered and paid for into the bag… sigh

I ordered four meal , both of them are different from the menu photo . That’s ridiculous. I asked the boss and he said photo is photo . Food is food not related

Great, authentic Chinese food. I had a wonderful wonton soup.

Ate lunch with my daughter. Had the tofu noodles with chilis, very tasty. My daughter enjoyed her dish too. Like the chili oil too... :-)

hubby likes to tell people it's hard to impress me with food (I just want things to actually taste good!), but the duck (big chunks with bones) was amazing! The flavor was on point!! The prices on the outside (with pictures) are not updated so most dishes are a few pounds more on the menu (text only) but it is probably the top Chinese restaurant I have tried in Edinburgh... most of the others are alright (Iike pretty good for what you can get in Edinburgh) but always something slightly off you can't quite put your finger on... The other dish I ordered was good also - no gross pork taint taste whatsoever that's ubiquitous in the UK. The food here is good, like how you would judge Chinese food in China, no qualifier necessary. third time tried the beef pancakes (very oily, not recommended), preserved fish and braised pork were not bad but both very average..... disappointed especially 'cause it was close to 50 pounds

I ordered beef rice noodle, I had to wait a little bit because many customers before me. It is a small restaurant but serve very delicious dishes. Many prefer to take away. The portion is big with generous amount of beef, one plate can be shated with two people.

onion pancake was too oily and millet congee was lukewarm and tasteless. Expected the congee to be at least hot. Asked for salt and pepper for tasteless congee, staff pointed over to the sugar instead. Not worth visiting again.

Absolute delight to visit here with our Chinese friend and her wee boy yesterday lunchtime, proper authentic Chinese food, portion sizes great and food very delicious, will definitely be back 😋

Terrible foods, especially the bubble soy mike. It’s too expensive to have a terrible foods like this.

Nice place for some Chinese food

Absolutely authentic and delicious northern style Chinese food! Chef is from a 5 star restaurant in China. We’ve lived as expats in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong for 30+ years. This is one of the best meals we’ve had.

I cannot be more confident in giving this restaurant 5 stars! From the friendliness of the staff to the authentic spicy Chinese food, Its all there. I have been here 5 times and I am not stopping till I have tried everything on their menu. It’s all delicious and so addicting you just can’t get enough!! I 100% recommend this to anyone who’s a fan of Chinese food or wants to try something new.

Superb food! There was so much choice … I’m not very expert in authentic Chinese food … so I wasn’t very adventurous … but I loved the north east sweet and sour pork. It’s just lovely to have such a range. I enjoyed watching the chefs too!

Excellent food and rich portions! We really appreciated the spontaneous advices and from the staff (very friendly). If someone is not practical of chines food, in the menu there are a lot o pics to have a idea about what you are ordering. We are planning to come back here very soon 😃😃

Surprisingly good, you can barely got the actual taste of local Chinese here in Edinburgh, if anything I'll be highly recommending this one!

This is so far one of the two best Chinese restaurants that I can faithfully recommend to my Chinese friends. I have been there four times so far and the crews were always friendly and helpful. It’s a bright and hygienic restaurant. You can see what’s going on in the open kitchen right through. If you are not Chinese, try the Northeast style sweet and sour pork and crispy diced chicken with chilli (don’t worry it is not actually spicy as it looks or sounds). If you are from Chinese heritage or a fan of Sichuan foods, griddle cooked chicken with chilli (干锅仔鸡）,chinese twice cooked pork (回锅肉）and fried hot and spicy shredded potato (酸辣土豆丝）are good. However, I have to honestly advice against the noodle dishes here. I ordered sliced beef soup noodle here. It was unsatisfactory. Go to the noodle specialist nearby if you are down to noodle. 这简直是爱丁堡华人餐厅一股清泉。希望老板和员工们继续保持水准。加油！

A gem in Edinburgh, the food was absolutely delicious, big portions, definitely recommend this if you’re looking for authentic Chinese food! We love all the dishes, especially the braised pork and aubergine.😋

authentic Sichuan food, some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, reasonably priced. highly recommend the ox tripe and fried pig intestine dishes, going back soon to try the whelks. The Chinese tea is also very good and refreshing. Staff are polite and welcoming. Service is quick and the wait isn’t long. Lovely atmosphere.
