We've been here many times and we are always impressed by every aspect of this restaurant. The food is always amazing, delivered to table super fast, and the staff always friendly and welcoming. I would rate this as the premier oriental restaurant in St Ives. It's excellent value for money too!

I enjoyed a quick pancake roll from the takeaway service. £2.90. It was very hot and crispy but a lack of content. 98% bean sprouts roll and 2% pork. Just not enough in it or flavour. Sadly as well not a pancake but a large wonton wrapper. I don't expect much but this is false advertising. Call it a large bean sprouts roll wrapper. If they had a sauce with it more stars but not a pancake roll at all. Sad!

Been using hong hei for a number of years but the last 4 times we have rang they haven't had rice!! Give them a go if you don't like rice 👍

Had a lovely takeaway from here last night. We collected, the food which was ready on time within 20 mins of ordering. We had rice, chow mein, chips and chicken balls and can recommend them all. Good quality ingredients and portion sizes plus not greasy like some takeaways. If we stay in Hopton again we will definitely order Chinese from here.

Delivery very quick but no duck and mushrooms but chicken instead which was tasteless.swamped by tasteless sauces.crispy prawns nice not much chilli.disappointing, we have had better.

All of the food we ordered was consistent... Consistently bland. and flavourless. When we opened the box for the beef chowmien it looked grey and watery, tasted like it too. The spring rolls were filled with polystyrene like "meat granules" the Staff treated me like a chore and was as cold as the freezer that the meals were unearthed from. We shall not order again.

Been using the Golden Star for years, the food is always hot and fresh. Delivery is in great and the staff are always friendly and polite. Highly recommend
