The best restaurants serving Chinese food in West Midlands

Walked in for a take away….initially ignored at the desk…informed of a wait..fair enough. Collected the food…awful. Stodgy rice, dry chicken, noodles terrible…..non of it appeared particularly fresh. Will not return. Much better elsewhere. Very very disappointing indeed..

Visited this particularly welcoming and intimate restaurant alone on the off chance there might be a table available for just myself on a Saturday evening. I was warmly welcomed and a gin and tonic was swiftly brought to the table. My server recommended a dish and helped me navigate the menu. Crisp, fresh prawn crackers came with a good spicy chilli sauce. Meaty, piping hot spring rolls accompanied and the main course vegetarian dish comprised of crisp, fresh, pipng hot vegetables in a birds nest basket with a tasty salty soy based sauce. I couldn't manage it all and two of the three spring rolls were kindly wrapped for me to take home. All in? £25. Great value and a most enjoyable experience. Thanks to all🙂

We have been using Silver pan for many years. But recently had some awful food, sent us completely the wrong food. To wrong sauce or full of grease and that salty you can't eat it. But the reason for 2 Stars is because on 2 occasions they have not offered to replace it!! So they will never have our custom again

The food at the Hing Wah is just simply the best in town, always tasty and with great quality ingredients. The chap out front is just a wonderful kind person with just the best memory. Thank you so much we don't go anywhere else.

Best Chinese in Stoke/Moorlands. The chinese takeaways in Werrington are rubbish, thankfully Golden Bowl deliver to us and they are great. Nice food, good price and fast delivery.

We have been staying in the area and decided to try Shun Fat out. On our 1st visit we had a Cinese....egg fried rice, lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken balls. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes as the place was packed. Very reasonably priced and better than any other I've tasted. On the 2nd visit we had fishcake, chips and battered sausages. Again delicious. The staff are so friendly and happy. There was also good banter between the staff and the owner "Richie" (I think that is his name). I have no hesitation in recommending this place....A**

The place has changed name. The food was poor. In fact starters looked like something you would buy from Iceland! The mains were slightly better but still not great. It used to be lovely so I’m presuming different people as they have had a name change. The place stunk of fat too.

4th visit this year, cant fault any of the meals we have had. Very welcoming staff. Meals have included special curry, sweet n sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, chow mein, fried rice.

The meals were hot and delicious, friendly staff and short wait. We had the meals here and we never regret coming here. Keep up the good work!

3rd order in a row wrong again to be told I didn’t order it no I did you just didn’t write it down properly 😡 been coming here since they opened not a happy customer

Love this restaurant, we go there quite often. Would recommend the Taiwanese sausage or the Dolsot Bibimbap.

We ordered a delivery giving them another chance but wish we didn’t. 1 hr for delivery having been told 40 mins or sooner. Once we opened the delivery it was wrong. Chicken Satay Skewers missing something with chicken in a dish , not sure what it was in all honesty. I called spoke with a young lady who was most un helpful. After explaining a few times it was wrong. I was offered a replacement for the skewers. I explained that it would be another hour, so no unless they can get them to us in 10 mins as the other meals would be eaten. “ well do ya want it or not “ Horrified at the reply I put the phone down after saying forget it. I so wish the old owners were back as we always had excellent food. We won't be back for a while I doubt. Shocking to say the least.

If you are reading the reviews to decide whether you should order from Hung's Kitchen, I would stop now and pick up the phone to literally any other establishment in Malvern..our usual favourite being the Star. Usually a mix up of an order doesn't warrant getting angry about, I only hoped this would be the case when ringing up, when this happened with our takeaway we collected. I think with even the bare minimum customer service skills, most can usually rectify a mistake without raising their voice and trying to blame the customer. You only have to scroll down below to another review about another order getting mixed up, I don't think it helps there are two different menus on the website offering the same items but both at different codes? surely it's more hassle for them as a company to run a business like this. You can take this review as someone being petty or unfair, I'm sure the owner will give a mediocre response as per the other reviews, wishing us well and telling us not to return perhaps, trust me we don't need to be asked twice.

Telephoned order through at 6.25 pm & was told that it would take 15- 20 mins for order to be ready. Order was not ready when I went to collect at 6.40 pm & was still waiting for order at 7pm. Politely asked why the delay as customers were placing orders at the counter & receiving theirs before me. Was told they were just doing mine & apologised. Think they had forgot to do my order. Eventually received my order at 7.10 pm a wait time of 45 mins. Was not happy. Would have been quicker to request a delivery from another Chinese which I will do in the future.

We have been coming here as a family for a long time. We are pleased with the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly service. They are always happy to see us and remember our names. We always get the salt and chilli prawns and the sweet and sour chicken (Cantonese style). We also love their curry sauce as it is too thin and watery and has lots of flavour.
