Been having takeaway deliveries recently and I have to say the service has been excellent and the food arrives nice and hot. The food has always been very tasty full of flavour. Can recommend this Chinese 100%.

What has happened to this restaurant! Had a £10 voucher cuz last take away was awful . Tonight started totally over done burnt tasted of nothing. Chicken with cashew so overdone could not chew it. Beef in black bean tasteless even though I asked for extra chilli , rice good!!! Absolutely gutted total waste of money

Had a delivery last week. Staff were very friendly and super efficient. Tasty food and lots of it. Will certainly be returning.

I often use the China Garden and the food has always been fantastic. Tonight they had forgotten my chicken balls (what a travesty lol). However, when I called them they immediately came out and dropped them off at my home. When I thought they couldn’t get better they have.... outstanding service and food!!

Well what more can I say, we visited the China Garden last Friday for a wee bit of grub with our very good friend, and i can honestly say the atmosphere, food and service were all absolutely first class and we will certainly be back, as this is a proper old school chinese restaurant with proper old school service and grub!

Give a 1 star. The food was cold and they forgot some of it. It really tasted odd and smokey, didn’t really eat it. Only good thing about it was the curry sauce.

First visit for a takeaway meal. Service fast and efficient and food of high quality. Definitely will return.

Luckily for us we live very close to this restaurant and use the takeaway quite often, The satay sauce is the best ever and the rest of the menu is pretty awesome too. We have eaten in the restaurant and always found them to be friendly and efficient. Thank you for your service over many years.

This place never fails to provide a well cooked, well seasoned meal. The chicken satay is to die for - rich and flavourful sauce. Kung po chicken is lovely and crispy and the right balance of sweet and spice. Yes it may look a bit dated on the outside - but the love and attention put into the food is amazing. You won't find watery flavourless dishes made from packet sauces here.

After trying to phone to book a table for 20 minutes, we decided to turn up as it’s not far from where live. The outside looked tired and needed a good clean. We decided to go in regardless. We received frosty welcome . The restaurant was empty. Lots of takeaways leaving. Then we were told they are fully booked. I think they are concentrating on takeaways rather than man the restaurant. That’s just my opinion.

This was my first time here but my friend had been coming here for years and we went to celebrate her birthday. There were over 10 of us and most of us ordered the Set Menu B and others ordered some a la carte dishes. All of our food was brought out in good time and together so we were all able to eat at the same time. Everything was delicious and service was very good. Prices were reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. Will definitely be going back. Well worth the 20+min drive in my opinion.

This place is great. Friendly staff, fresh, hot food. The best chinese in the area by far whether you want to sit down and have a pint or pick up a take away

Our local Chinese restaurant and delivery. Food is always piping hot both dining in, and on delivery. Delivery can take a while but they are so busy, you expect that! The restaurant is authentic and the staff friendly. There is a low turnover of staff so that must say something? Anyhow, you are able to have your food cooked any way you like as it’s made fresh to order. We are vegan, and never have a problem. Enjoy.

After looking forward to a Chinese takeaway all day today, we were so disappointed. We have previously had some lovely takeaways from here but today was a real let down. The chicken was very dry and did not appear to have been cooked in the sauce. The curry sauce was poured over the top of cooked chicken and was cold and gelatinous. The Singapore rice and noodles were not at all spicy and were very bland. To top it off, all of the food was cold. Will not be returning.

Took the family for a treat as they’d been nagging to visit since we moved to the area in 2016. The service was efficient but expectedly so as we were the only people in there. The food was tasty but the dishes were small and expensive.

Poor food - takeaway and dreadfully miserable phone attitude. Noodles not mixed properly just get lumps of curry powder here and there. Nine times out of ten the order is wrong - hardly bother with this place anymore - shame there is not more competition as they would have to up their game. They have become too complacent with regular customers and expect their business rather than try to earn it! Very overpriced - again due to no competition. Try Old Town Chinese Restaurant in Stevenage - it is well worth the drive and you wont go back here unless you're starving and haven't got the time!

Esto es sólo un simple comentario para decir que la comida es buena, que es seguro, sin embargo, el camarero chino y la chica detrás de la barra, con el pelo pelirrojo están completamente miserable y pobre en su trabajo. Olvidaron una de las principales comidas fuera y le echó un ordenador. Por consiguiente tuve que sentarse allí y ver los platos de arroz vaya frío mientras aguardaba por mi comida para llegar. Al final, después de una larga discusión con el camarero, la comida era descontado de la factura por una encantadora señora quien supongo era el dueño. Si quiere que su negocio a prosperar, conseguir nuevo personal.

Vivimos a la vuelta de la esquina y nos encanta este chino. El personal es amable, la comida es excelente y una gran relación calidad-precio y que entregar! Es un lugar excelente con un servicio excelente, ya que son muy afortunados de tener a la mano. Que llevar orden aproximadamente una vez al mes y siempre están encantados.

Pase este lugar regularmente, en Navidad y NUEVA YORK decidí conseguir una comida para llevar. Era un viernes por la noche, no estaba muy lleno. Por desgracia, la comida era muy sosa. Tuve el valor para llevar comida 1. Se les olvidó el pan de gambas que estaban incluidas. Primera y última vez que conseguir comida para llevar. Mejor comida para llevar en ciudades cercanas de,buntingford,ware y Bishops Stortford.

No ha sido aquí por bastante tiempo. Decidimos que le daría una visita después de las navidades. Nos quedamos muy impresionados con la excelente calidad de la comida. El estándar de servicio de todo el personal fue ejemplar. Visitará China Garden Restaurante mucho más regularmente en el futuro.

The food is very well cooked and very tasty, couldn't fault it! Friendly and efficient staff too. Decor is good with a warm atmosphere.

Visitamos aquí una noche de buffet de lunes para mis hijos 17 celebración de cumpleaños. A mi hijo le encanta la comida china y nos costó encontrar un restaurante chino sentarse desde el cierre de la Peking House en Hertford. Tengo que decir que no esperaba mucho de no ser un gran fan de la comida china, pero me sorprendió gratamente. La comida del buffet era preciosa, comer tanto como quieras y sólo le cobran por el despilfarro que hizo más divertido ya que todo el mundo estaba decidido a no dejar nada, a pesar de ser más grande que sus ojos su panza. Nos dieron a elegir de todo nuestro favorito, seguido de pato entrantes crujiente y tortitas, y luego tuvimos una gran selección de platos principales. Me gustó mucho la comida, me pareció que el personal era agradable y relajado y muy eficiente a la hora de tratar con un grupo grande, teniendo en cuenta cómo el loco puede llegar cuando todo el mundo ha tenido un par de copas. Yo diría que este es un lugar perfecto para una celebración familiar donde están involucrados los niños, ya que muchos de ellos son un poco quisquillosos pero hay algo aquí para todo el mundo y todo lo que podíamos comer. Buena relación calidad-precio. Velada muy agradable de hecho.

My local restaurant. Absolutely beautiful food. Try the all you can eat buffet menu mon, weds, thurs and fri. £16 ish. Not sure I want to big it up too much as it might get TOO popular

Recent takeaway visit was very disappointing. Set meal was in one container, rice and chicken. Clearly a cost cutting exercise. Rice also went soggy. Smoked chicken portion size has reduced and prawn crackers stale. Severe lack of Kung prawns in chow mein. Won't return.

Had takeout deliveries from here a few times. This time they were that busy that I just could not get through to make my order so I decided to drive and get my own takeaway. The waiting time was about average for a busy restaurant and bar that do takeaway too. Was offered a drink while I waited. The bar layout was very busy and all the customers waiting all seemed happy. I got my takeaway order with SMG free and took it home nice and hot and very nice it was too. Will be back again soon.

We have numerous take out's and deliveries from China Garden. You can ask for your food to made in a way that suits your dietary requirements, which I really like. The delivery is a bit slow, BUT, they get SO many orders, if you're hungry, go get it yourself! Great menu full of veggie stuff, which can as mentioned be veganised to suit. Never had a poorly tummy. Highly recommend.

Been here previously years ago and enjoyed. We went a week ago and can honestly say we won't go back. We chose £18@ set menu for 2 and just wanted to make 2 small changes as I have a garlic allergy. Apparently they are only allowed to make one change. Our table was next to an unused door & surrounded by bags of ?? and coat hangers. The actual place needs a makeover and smelt very strongly of smoke. My husband's Guinness was bought over with it running down the sides consequently leaving puddle on table! With not an offer off wiping it. My wine was ok but when asked for water it was warm. The whole evening was a constant phone ringing with takeaways being ordered & we heard every single conversation. The food was average.

Excellent value for money buffet meal always freshly cooked. Can even order from a la carte menu for a little extra cost. Nothing is too much trouble and the owners often recommend dishes to help out. Great Fosters on draught, ice cold!

We visited China garden this evening we popped for a quick drink we noticed two items on specials menus board that we fancied so we ordered a takeaway, can't thank the chefs enough we could not fault food in anyway, looking forward to our next visit Jeremy & Maria Buntingford

Always go the extra mile to make your meal memorable. You can even order dishes that aren't on the menu and for a small extra charge add normal menu dishes to the buffet one......how great is that!!!The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I've never thought the combination of village pub and chinese or indian restaurant ever really worked and here I feel the same is true. The pub area is very small and crowded and although the beer served was quite good the sparkling water from a larger bottle hidden behind the bar was horrid and flat and didn't taste nice at all.The food was served very well and efficiently and some of it was reasonable tasty, but it was spoilt by sauces being too thick and gloopy and some dishes being too oily. Previously I have really enjoyed the food here, but on my last visit I was very disappointed - I can only presume they've had a change of kitchen staff. The wine selection is very limited, but reasonable.The staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly but I think the food let them down.

This is our local Chinese take away and we use it regularly due to the fact the menu is varied, extremely tasteful and above all, very reasonable. Three portions are fantastic and the staff and owners are brilliant. They serve a nice beer too.
