The place has changed name. The food was poor. In fact starters looked like something you would buy from Iceland! The mains were slightly better but still not great. It used to be lovely so I’m presuming different people as they have had a name change. The place stunk of fat too.

Major problem: 100 degrees east is now the Garden Moon, so driving past you haven’t a clue where it is. Once you get there it’s like entering a transport cafe as it’s main buses is take away. Bare wooden tables, cheap chairs and old decor. Not a green first impression. Toilets poorly maintained with no loo roll. Indeed, we were the only restaurant customers on a Saturday evening: not a good sign but many take away orders whilst we were there. We went on a Groupon deal so the menu was very limited, annoyingly. Starters were OK : a nice yuk sung and tasty chicken wings. We ordered two spicy dishes for main: chicken kung pao and Szechuan beef. Both over spiced with little subtlety and no other flavour. If we lived in Moseley we may use it as a take away but will not revisit the restaurant.

Terrible customer service ordered food payment was taken from deliveroo the restaurant claimed the food was delivered which it wasnt. They are saying no refund will be issued but no food received. 0/5 rating

100 degrees east/golden moon/the jade is the worst place ever. We have eaten here many times but tonight we ordered a delivery from them at 7.45pm. It said 55 minutes. At 9.15 I rang and spoke to them and was told it was out for delivery. At 9.45pm still no delivery so I called them back. I was told it would be with us shortly. I told the man I spoke to it had been out with the driver for over half an hour and it would not be hot to eat and that it shouldn't be out for delivery for that long. He said to me if it was not hot they would sort it out. We saw a car pull up and they took food to one of our neighbours. He had gone to the wrong house - it was our food. Once we got it in the house we found our starters were cold and the rest of the food was not warm enough to eat. I then contacted them again. I told them the food was cold and would have to be microwaved to be eaten which I was not prepared to do as one of the dishes was rice. I also notified him that the starters were in a polystyrene box and looked as though someone had dropped hot rocks off the end of a cigarette as parts of the box were melted. I asked him to replace the food or refund us. He dithered about but then told us he would send us fresh food. At 22.40pm I called again as the fresh food had not arrived. He told us he hadn't replaced the food as he had now spoke to the owner who said to refund us. No one had notified us of this and we were still waiting for food. He then asked if the food had been touched and that they were sending a driver out to collect it immediately. It is now 11.30pm and still not collected. I am absolutely disgusted at them. This is a terrible way to run a business and they certainly do not look after their customers. I would never recommend anyone to order a delivery from here.

Ordered a take away for delivery and despite ringing numerous times over an hour after ordering (and every time being hung up on without any answers) the order did not arrive. The order eventually showed on app as being delivered (it was not) but thankfully Deliveroo are issuing a refund. Will not use again. Poor customer service and very unreliable.

We have visited The Spice Exchange many times and never been disappointed. The restaurant is spacious, the tables elegant, with freshly laundered cloths. The food is always delicious: well cooked meat, fish & vegetables, with tasty sauces flavoured with different spices. On top of that, the service is amazing: professional yet friendly; individual yet detached. We always feel like welcome guests, in a huge family home where they remember our names and preferences, and offer the best advice when we can’t decide what we want. Definitely we recommend this restaurant 100%.

Got the Special Curry with rice, Large portion of the Four Meats and a side of egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips. The Special curry was easily the best ive ever eaten, The four meats yet again were top tier and despite the angry reviews about people saying it's served cold, that's how it is meant to be served and that's how it is best eaten. If it had been heated up it wouldn't have been as nice as it was so just accept that fact and stop complaining. Salt and Pepper chips were fresh and tasted perfect, aswell as the rice. Top notch👏

The waiter was rude. I asked for an unused chair at the adjacent table to place the fresh vegetables I just bought at the market. This simple request was immediately rejected by the waiter. A four-person table cannot have five chairs. Four guests must sit on a four-person table. Even if there are other Jitaiji chairs, they are not available. The solution is to put fresh vegetables on the ground or on the table. We chose to use half a table for four to place the fresh vegetables we just bought. The food quality was also worse than before. I ordered a dish of roasted noodles with dried crab meat, but what I got was fried noodles with shredded crab meat and onions.

Food is great, but a few of the staff can be really abrupt. Delivery is a good option but can take well over an hour at times. The prices have gone up a fair bit too!
