We, who love barbecued pork, were very happy just to see the dishes being served. We were even more excited after we started eating. This is the taste. Barbecued pork, fried chicken, roasted duck, roasted pork, everything tastes right, the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. With the addition of scallion sauce, it’s so delicious!

If you rate your comments on a scale of 0-10, with 5 being qualified: Barbecued pork 5 points; roasted pork 6 points; fried chicken 6 points; roast duck 7 points; smoked hoof 9 points; noodle soup 3 points; regular soup 3 points Summarize: It's a nice restaurant, but it doesn't have any outstanding siu-mei, and there's no reason for me to go back. Originally I didn't pay attention to other negative reviews, but seeing your rude reply, I took a look at it. It's okay not to look at it. I saw that there were so many negative reviews, 👎👎👎, from the ratio of positive reviews to negative reviews Come to think of it, your hotel has quite a lot of negative reviews. I'm waiting for everyone to comment on whether the roasted pork is fat or not! There are many old stores in the UK that have been operating for decades. Is it easy to settle down? You will know by reading the comments! Your store's Customer Management rating should fall below 4.0 soon 🤔🤔🤔. I bought a barbecued pork rice and a barbecued pork double combo. The rice was okay, but the roasted pork double combo was too fat. It was the same as the last time I helped you. So you are clearly calling me stupid and you are doing business. So honest! Want to ask 🤔 why we only accept cash💰? ? ?, the important thing is that there is no receipt for customers, the price is too high and the quality is poor, the important thing is that the food is not good 👎👎👎, the price is expensive, you are doing business with low-end goods, do you have any conscience 㗎⋯⋯! Shame on you!

I'm genuinely astonished by the contrasting opinions in the other reviews. Over the past two years, I've made it a habit to visit this place twice a week during my lunch break, and I've consistently been blown away by the experience. For anyone seeking genuine, authentic food, this establishment is unparalleled. The taste and quality of every dish are simply divine, the portion sizes are incredibly generous, and the service embodies the essence of an authentic restaurant experience. Their crispy pork belly is out of this world, the Singapore fried rice is a true delight, and the chowmein is simply irresistible.

Good-ish Chinese restaurant, the food was not bad, but not amazing as well. The won ton soup it is quite average, the mix chow main could be much better if they would cook with a bit of live, it was bland, no flavours, almost like the cook didn't use any sausces. The 3 rost wirh rice was ok ish as well, the pork belly was only fan, no meat and they been ok to change it, the whole dish was cold and extra salty. Another good meal at Peach Garden. Tasty, authentic Chinse food, which reminds me of things we would eat at home. My go to dish recently has been the 4 meat on rice (char sui, crispy pork belly, poached chicken with garnish of spring onion (maybe ginger) and oil, and some roast duck. And yes, perfectly acceptable to eat the meats cold. I also love the roast duck rice, beef ho fun (done without sauce) and the sweet and sour dishes. Some things are obviously done for non-Chinese customers (e.g. the pancake roll, not dissimilar to what we use to sell in our Chinese take-away in a small Northamptonshire town. There are no frills and it's not a place to hang out in. Always has Chinese customers, I notice lots of Chinese customers and lots of people eating on their own, which I do sometimes. Glad to have introduced my friends to it on this occasion.

Last Saturday (15th April) we had a massive portion of rice with meat/sauce and rice with veggies/sauce washed down with our best (non-alcoholic) beverage. You can even help yourself to the menu and cutlery/chopsticks by the entrance, order by the serving hatch and pay there before leaving (although they do have a waiter/waitress doing the rounds). And we got served within 10 minutes from ordering. Quite spacious interior although you may need to squeeze between certain tables when it's busy. Each table has a small range of seasoning and condiments. The chilli oil is great for giving your food extra heat (we had 3tsp each). Great value for money at just under £25. You won't need a starter, because the servings are massive. I noticed a few plates of leftovers from patrons who had eyes bigger than their bellies. Even walking to the bus stop afterwards was a struggle.

I’m a regular customer here in Peach Garden and the salt and chilli king prawns weren’t as good as i had it before, i felt like it didn’t have much salt and chilli kick to it as it normally did which slightly disappointed me. Furthermore, owner must rearrange the tables and seats due to the very limited space. it gets way too crowded and noisy when it gets busy, and as a chinese person i feel that they need to work on their customer service as some people may take their attitudes the wrong way.

The restaurant is bristling with regulars who clearly feel the authenticity of the food offsets the truely appauling service and attitude of the staff. The food is fine - nothing special but adequate. Its not particularly cheap and annoyingly they only take cash. The lady behind the till seems to have complete disdain and contempt for the customers. This is the only time in my life I can recall being shouted at by a restaurant owner and merely for asking politely if I could order more food. It seemed to stem from her annoyance that I was the only person on our table ordering more food and therefore raising the prospect of slowing down the fast turnaround of the tables. If you like to eat average food whilst being shouted at then this is the place for you. Otherwise try the place next door where they have an extensive array of homemade fruit teas and amiable staff.

Wow, not sure what has happened to this once wonderful restaurant; my go-to place and took visiting colleagues there for 8 years, the food once plentiful and tasty. Todays visit, first time with the wife was a shock, the food was nice, not delicious but the portions were minuscule. The spring roll has shrunk by about two inches (despite a price rise) and was woefully greasy, swimming in fat which is not the standard expected. I took a friend in there a short time ago and the portion we received today was about 1/3 of that but the price has jumped to well above. No wonder it wasnt as full as a normal lunchtime, I did wonder. Think the management have got the model a bit astray, this is chinatown and the competition fierce, bigger and better portions await elsewhere and regrettably, it is to elsewhere I will take my custom, there are plenty to chose from. Amazing drop in size and standards. It was heavenly while it lasted.

Came to Birmingham for a couple of days to sample Chinatown cuisine as I have been missing it. Normally I come once a year following attendance of a conference at ICC but haven't been able to come for obvious covid 19 reasons. On my first evening I ordered duck and soya chicken with rice which was ok - I enjoyed the duck most whilst the soya chicken wasn't particularly special. I was prepared to give Peach Garden a second chance however having in the past really enjoyed their food. On top of this, I had been tasked to take home some goodies and wanted to make absolutely sure I was choosing the right establishment to buy my roast meat from. This evening I went back and ordered duck and crispy roast pork with noodles in soup. Whilst the duck was tasty enough, the pork tasted odd and I ended up leaving slices of the pork. Additionally for £9 the portion size was small. Having given Peach Garden two chances on my two day visit, I'm afraid I wouldn't come back here. The service and staff were reasonable enough but the quality of the food I had yearned for was missing. I will be buying from another diner selling Chinese BBQ / roast meat which I sampled for my lunch today (my second day). Although the meats were a bit salty at this second establishment, the food was considerably better.

Popped in as we were walking by, not before checking the TripAdvisor score. Bad idea. It goes to shows how little people know about Chinese food, as this place gets rather good reviews. My expectations crumbled as I realised that the menu is bog standard British-Chinese buffet: lots of anything-on-rice, the usual beige looking chow mein and very few authentic dishes displayed on the wall for the restaurant's few Chinese customers. We went for jasmine tea, which was bitter and not very warm. Food was brought suspiciously quickly as it was barely microwaved. The pork was lukewarm and as hard as a leather boot. The excuse for a duck that they served was cold and grisly. The rice impossibly dry, the cabbage overcooked and soggy but still not that hot. We complained but the lady refused to take it off the bill. Had to decline the offer to have it microwaved (for the Nth time?) as I didn't fancy salmonella with my dinner.Absolutely insane that this is ranked so high in Birmingham, when Chilli Kitchen just down the road is infinitely better, serves actual Chinese cuisine and is in the same price range.

Cunning and dishonest for takeaway bill! Ordered 2 whole roast duck and 1 whole soy sauce chicken cost £64, requested 1 roast duck & 1 chicken cut in half and put in separate bag, charged me £72, £8 extra. Overpriced ! So disappointed the management.

Proper Chinatown joint with all the locals recommending it. Bang in the centre of CT Birimingham, I'd advise a takeout rather than eat-in. Its more of a Coffee shop vibe going on that restaurant. But the Char Siu Pork was great.

A friendly welcome greeted us at this busy Chinese eatery in the heart of Birmingham. The food was served quickly and the portions were generous. Was it just me? I just didn't love it. So sorry.

Visited on a Thursday evening before going to O2 academy which is a 5 minute walk away. Ordered 2 dishes, chicken with lemon sauce and chicken Szechuan style. These were both the best I have ever eaten. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for some excellent traditional Chinese food the look no further. But it’s a very busy little restaurant which serves not only at tables but also does a brisk take away service. Excellent roast meats which we always order, very good prawns in a large very traditional menu with something for everyone.A fast and efficient service though it can occasionally be a little difficult to order without indicating your choices on the menu.Very reminiscent of many restaurants in Hong Kong and very much worth a visit.

We have visited The Spice Exchange many times and never been disappointed. The restaurant is spacious, the tables elegant, with freshly laundered cloths. The food is always delicious: well cooked meat, fish & vegetables, with tasty sauces flavoured with different spices. On top of that, the service is amazing: professional yet friendly; individual yet detached. We always feel like welcome guests, in a huge family home where they remember our names and preferences, and offer the best advice when we can’t decide what we want. Definitely we recommend this restaurant 100%.

The people that work there are super nice, giving me extra food on top of what I got. Considering how amazing all the food is this is there is no real room for complaint.

I spend £25-£35 weekly with this takeaway and they refuse to add a bit of sauce on my ribs. They are not worthy of my custom. They don't give anything to anyone , not even a glass of water if you're choking, it all comes at a price. Loyalty gets you nothing. Well done Hong Kong another dissatisfied customer.
