The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South East

I was absolutely disgusted with the quality of the food. £46 spent & only a few items were passable. The chicken chow mein was vile & had a nasty taste. Didn't smell to good either when opened container. Definitely do not recommend....

We compared prices and availability times for various deliveries online and John Lee, although they don’t deliver that I’m aware of, came out best in terms of price and quick service with collection in 20 minutes on a Friday evening. The food was clearly freshly cooked, had lovely flavour individual to each dish and the man who took our food order was polite, double checked each item and was helpful. A highlight was the chicken satay skewers. 100% will only order Chinese from John Lee in future.

One of the best I have experienced very helpful, delivery on time, food was A1. Definitely recommend this place.

Asked what they had that was vegetarian. They offered vegetable curry. Turned out to be curry sauce with diced carrots and peas. Nothing tasty about it. I will not go back.

Ordered a takeaway with high hopes based on other reviews. There was nothing really wrong with the food but it was quite bland - I like to be excited and to be frank, I wasn’t. Shredded beef with chilli, normally a favourite, lacked any chilli and didn’t have much sauce. Lacking magic.

Great food and service at a great price . Second time this year and faultless meal . Third time today was great too

I participated in a 9-day tour group tour of the UK. Qianzhuang Restaurant was the best restaurant on the trip. The owner was polite and wore a tie. The main reason was that the food was good and it went very well. It was a very satisfying dinner!

This has to be the worst Chinese I have had sold to me, there were no flavour, no prawn in the prawn chow mein, the chicken sweet corn soup had sugar added to it … and sweet/ sour chicken was just sour. Our garden animals will enjoy it …. We hope

Faultless service, pleasant atmosphere but just a bit too noisy due to the volume of the background music. I'd give the food five stars had the meat in my first course not been overcooked.

Expensive for what you get. The portions are really small. Prefer the grand imperial palace around the corner which seems more authentic
