Noble House in Portsmouth

A big party of us came here last night and was very impressed with the service. The food was delicious and plenty of choice for people on different diets. Haven't been here before but would be more than happy to go again. Cant fault the restaurant.

Love it! Wouldn't go anywhere else for Chinese food in Southsea. We have been ordering from here for so many years now. An exceptional menu, with gluten free alternatives. Exceptionally fresh produce, you can taste everything. The Restaurant Manager always goes over and above to please. Nothing is too much trouble, Highly recommend "Singapore noodles", the sharing starter for a dinner party, the spring rolls, Prawn in ginger. Duck in black bean. Special rice. The list is endless! If ever a discrepancy, it's minor & rectified immediately. All the staff are well trained & smartly presented. This credit is due to the Manager & The owner. I highly recommend you try The Noble House. Eat in or take away. You can take your own alcohol as it doesn't sell alcoholic drinks. Enjoy! .

Not been for a long time but enjoyed it so much, the food and service is as good as ever. One important point is THEY DON'T HAVE AN ALCOHOL LICENSE, you can take in your own beer and wine, without any problems.

The chicken dishes and vegetable spring rolls I got were really good, but I got mushroom fried rice and it was awful. It smelt off, mushrooms tasted off had little to no flavour and the sesame prawn ‘canopies’ (toast) was really not good. Spongy and chewy in all the wrong ways. Do not order the mushroom fried rice, it’s as if they keep the mushrooms in water but don’t clean out the water. Absolutely disgusting

So this place was a very nice surprise considering me and the Mrs only went for a walk along the beach.So I’ll rewind it was a cold and very windy Wednesday evening and the Mrs was all like “I’m bored let’s go for a walk along the seafront” me looking out the window thinking she’s bloody crazy it’s gale force winds 🤔 ok a bit of an exaggeration it was a bit windy 🤣 but as like most husbands I dare say no and after about an hour or so wanted something to eat so went here and wow it was great and busy the atmosphere was nice very relaxed and friendly the staff were very friendly and informative and the food was spot on all fresh and tasty they even had a vegan section with mock chicken you will have to take your own alcoholic drinks as they only do non alcoholic beverages but not a negative I’d say if you want a nice relaxing Chinese meal then definitely come to the Noble House.

Really not happy with our meal! Duck was dry, chips were awfully dry, didn’t get one of our dishes but instead got Something else we ordered. Won’t order here again!

food arrived cold. After reheating it,our salt & pepper chicken/salt & pepper chips didnt taste of anything. Chips were stale and hard. Save your money and go elsewhere

Waited a while for the food, was dispatched and took 45 minutes to turn up, phoned because they’d missed the delivery window to be told that there’s other orders on the delivery which I get, but turning up really late and cold was disappointing, the food was as you’d expect from waiting so long for delivery, a shame

A nice restaurant but been let down on takeaways. Twice used, twice late. As a constructive criticism, please just amend your delivery times. Food was also like warm, not sure why. Whether it was due to time in delivery car or problems at restaurant.

The chips were awful and the food was late

The food was great! I had all vegetarian meals and tried things I hadn’t tried before including mock pork. The selection of vegetarian starters were great value for money and also included items I haven’t tried before and I was very impressed. 10% off my £30 meal and free delivery was a bonus. Delivered in good time by a friendly delivery driver. Very happy

beef with oyster sauce dish was absolutely terrible. random vegetables in the serving and the beef itself honestly looked like cat food. will never use again.

Food was good very quiet restaurant staff were lovely, toilets were clean and the experience in general was calming and pleasant. Reminder you have to bring your own alcohol (if you drink it) because they don’t sell it

Food arrived cold and needed heating up in the microwave. Quality was ok but nothing special. Waste of time and money.

Chips were dry, chicken balls undercooked and chowmein and beef we’re definitely not to standard. All came cold too. Paid a lot of money for it to end in the bin. Very disappointed.

I'd just like to make a complaint about my delivery in Saturday. I ordered via the website and it said the food would arrive by 19.04. At 19.19, I rang and was told that the food was with the delivery driver and it would be there soon. It arrived at 19.50 and had to be microwaved because some parts were cold. I'm type one diabetic and had to eat some toast at 19.30 to keep me going because food had not arrived.

Usually okay maybe the dishes we chose but sauces very watery and not much taste compared to other restaurants we use for Chinese takeaway, fresh vegetables however, would not rush to re-order, sorry

Was expecting the order at 1855-1915hrs, then nothing came. I then contacted the premises and was told it was running late and that it would be at my house for 1940hrs. It turned up 1937hrs, cold and unappealing as well as unappetising. Nothing was hot, piping all the way through, chips were open upon arrival too, maybe the driver was hungry on his round the world trip to our house. Had to throw it away, waste of money and ended up cooking beans on toast. Not a great first time ordering from Noble House. Nothing noble about it.

Went in on the off chance after the theatre and we're lucky enough to get a table - they took the trouble on a very busy night to seat us away from a noisy birthday celebration. The food was really good and plentiful, with an unusually wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options. No alcohol licence but a wide range of alcohol free wines, beers and mocktails! The service was lovely, attentive and friendly without being overwhelming. And at the end we were even offered a free drink to apologise for the noisy experience!! Will definitely return.

Not good. Nothing like Cantonese food

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. Ordered £40 worth of food for a birthday celebration. Everything was cold, the noodles tasted like soap. Will never order again and am ensuring friends and family don't either.

The chicken balls were all ball no chicken. The chow mein tasted and smelt like it had had sat in the bottom of an old wardrobe for days then reheated. The beef in the chow mein was soft but Impossible to chew. Completely vile. Never ordering here again. Sorry.

This was the worst Chinese I've ever eaten the duck looked like it hadn't even been cooked properly and the prawn crackers had gone off and you could build a house with the chips, my advice is if u want food poisoning or ur tryin to build a cheap house I'd stay well clear

The chicken was of poor quality it didn’t look or taste real. the chicken fried rice had no soya sauce and the same poor quality chicken I also couldn’t taste any MSG or flavouring. It arrived on time, and the sweet-and-sour sauce and chicken balls are great, but I wouldn’t order again. I wish just eat had a block list.

Food all cold chips so dry it’s awful

Was a little cold, some of the items tasted like they'd stood around for a while. Prawn toast was tough. Wrong noodles used for chow mein. Ours were more like vermicelli noodles than Egg noodles. Nothing special for the money we paid

Not so good takeaway .popped in for a takeaway but frankly it was awful pork char sui was just old roast pork in a tasteless gravy. And noodles with beansprouts tasted of tobacco it was rank to be honest

A group of us booked the whole restaurant for a meal together and all agreed to have a set menu. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, hot and just the right amount. This restaurant doesn't have a drinks licence so you can bring your own drinks and they will provide you with glasses, they don't charge you for this.

5 stars extremely well deserved! Had a family meal here tonight. 4 adults, 2 children. Sat next to the window which was great for people watching. Service was impeccable. Very friendly and helpful. We ordered the All you can Eat option. We certainly were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. Would thoroughly recommend! We will be back. Thank you

The delivery time delay was understandable as it is bank holiday weekend and Victorious festival, but we still did have to wait a long time for our food. However the lady on the phone when I called to chase was lovely and very helpful =) The delay we could have overlooked if the food had been good, however the food was very disappointing and I didn't even finish my meal, which is rare for me. The chicken curry was far more massive chunks of onion with very few bits of chicken; the chicken balls were very small and with very little, chicken in them and what chicken in them was very dry and tough; and the chips were cold and very stale; and the sweet and sour sauce was very thin and cold. The noodles and beansprouts, and the rice however, were all very nice. Sadly won't be ordering from here again.

I really hate to leave bad reviews however when half of our food was inedible I have to put something. We got chicken and beef curries and both meat in the curries was slimy to the point after half a bite we had to spit it out and remove it from our plates. The bbq ribs were so dry and had no bbq taste what so ever. The chicken in the fried rice again was slimy we had to pick around it. The chicken chow mein, chips, spring rolls, and the actual fried rice itself were okay at best but when the majority of your meal has to go in the bin I had to say something. Again sorry to leave a bad review but unfortunately will not be going back, especially for the price.

The order arrived 15 minutes after the latest given arrival time and items were missing from the order. This site will not allow me to select any more than 5 minutes late. Tried to call restaurant about order but line kept ending call. No other way of rectifying order on just eat.

The staff were friendly and polite. I had vegetable soup no flavour at all. We ordered starters for two it was colourless and tasteless would never go there again. The chef is not even Chinese!
