Delicious food, no waiting to collect, friendly service, complimentary prawn crackers and situated in a quaint village. Excellent value for money too. Cannot fault, highly recommend!

My partner and I are always happy when we get a takeaway from Kings Garden. Great food, some really good veggie options, our go-to chinese.

Our last l takeaway was really bad but thought we would give it another try as this last year food has been decent. But it’s a no no no! Chicken chow mein had 3 slithers of chicken, dry no flavour. Hard to swallow! The curry sauce too sweet inedible. They are cutting costs which is totally obvious. Will never get food from here again. Would give a zero if I could!

We ordered a Chinese takeaway this evening, It all went in the bin. What an absolute catastrophic thrown together mess, turned up practically cold, Do not order from here, it looks awful and tastes worse. If you do decide to order from here, I strongly advise against ordering the duck pancake rolls because all that’s in them is chopped up onion and a shred of what is supposed to be a bit of duck. The ribs didn’t taste right at all , very tough and over dry and after one bite I could tell they tasted pretty odd, couldn’t even get something as simple as chips correct, wet and soggy and cold in the middle. Absolutely disgraceful. Not one dish we ordered was satisfactory. The one star is for the broccoli dish that was a begrudged pass, not great but not as awful as the other dishes although it still went in the bin after tasting it as by this point I was put off. Complete Waste of money.

This used to be a very popular place, having not eaten here for many years dropped in for dinner recently. The place was quiet being a weeknight, a few people in and out to collect takeaways though. Service was friendly and efficient, food wasn't bad but I've had much better. It's not the cheapest either.

Don’t bother ! Years ago this takeaway used to be the best in town, since the 70’s it’s changed chefs/management various times and you’d expect a little variation but this evening’s takeaway was awfully bland, poor quality and we were given the wrong dish, despite the girl repeating our order at the counter. The Sweet & Sour Prawn Balls we ordered turned out to be tough dry Pork Balls at home, we couldn’t eat them they were so dry and tough (see pic). The Special fried rice had nothing special about it. It was dry, flavourless and uninspiring with tiny chopped bits of meat, egg and peas. (See pic) The House Chow Mein used to have slices of Char Siu, beef, jumbo prawns and chicken bursting with vibrant flavours with spring onion and garlic BUT not anymore, the noodles tasted like they’d been stored in an old plastic container as the dish had that tainted flavour. The Chicken Satay was clearly factory produced and brought in, it was stringy breast moulded into shape densely coated with the sauce. It really wasn’t nice at all. I gave them 1 star because my son was able to eat the free prawn crackers, not bad for £25.70, never again. Tasted so bland, we left 90% of it !!

After trying a few Chinese takeaways in the area and being disappointed , we have finally found one we will be using regularly. This for me is by far the best in the area . The food we ordered was very nice , not greasy and you could taste the difference between each dish . You also get a friendly welcome when you arrive. Thanks Tim Ley , see you again soon .
