Updated review ..Used this takeaway for 20 yrs.The food has been very very nice(until about 3yrs ago).. Looks like recent change of staff late 2023. They have modernised it with new menu. Some items are great (eg pizza box) . Just had special fried rice and 9" box which was nice and the gravy is very nice. Also the garlic mushrooms are nice. They make my favourite Peking sauce(nobody else comes close)Dropped 1 star 3 years ago but now back to 5 stars. Staff very friendly and give free gifts all the time. My new favourite meal is the salt and pepper box. And they make the best prawn crackers.

Been going here for years and food and portions are getting worse every time , one of the girls on phone doesn't listen to anything you say , i asked her time after time are you sure you got my order right and she said yes only to find things missing off order . They never do your food as you request them to, quality of food has really deteriorated and im not a greedy person but the quantity is half what it was and costs much more . Just got about a dozen chips in a portion and basically the quality was awful. Got egg fried rice with not a specimen of any egg at all , i haven't had their food for a few months after not feeling too good last time after eating it , But after food i just had tonight im personally barring myself out the place for life , Terrible food avoid this place at all cost !!!

We were in Newcastle for three days and wanted to visit one of the Chinatown Restaurants . I did some research online and decided to visit The Landmark Restaurant. When we arrived to my surprise at 6.45 pm restaurant closed and in the dark . We looked in at the Amaysia restaurant and it looked busy with a complete mix of diners eating . We decided to go in and luckily we were able to get a table. We ordered a Sharing Platter and for main courses , Lemon Chicken and a Chicken Breast Curry. The food was excellent and the service great and all reasonably priced

PROPER DISAPPOINTED I think the owners must have sold out which is a shame as Dragon City was superb. First warning.... food arrived in these new shallow plastic dishes rather than the deeper tin foil. - Much less food. Second warning.... Chips were not the usual and famous Chinese chips, they were oven chips.... sad. Third warning.... Their historic and famous spare ribs were huge and fell off the bone, now they are mini ribs. Last warning... The special chow mein was watery, one prawn and just ordinary. What a shame... I now have to find another alternative in the Spennymoor area. Such a shame, but did the owners sell out?

Very very poor with horrific customer service, delivery time of over 2 and a half hours, restaurant wont answer the phone after orders are placed. Ive received multiple wrong meals from here and they wont exchange or replace them. I received raw prawn batter balls, the batter was literally stone cold LIQUID BATTER inside not cooked at all, extremely dangerous!!!!! I have given them the benefit of the doubt to many times now, the wasted wrong, tasteless, late, cold ,raw meals are not worth the risk.

I visit the lunch box regularly. Staff are always pleasant and attentive. Food is fresh and tasty. Plenty of hot and cold choices. Would recommend for a quick bite.

We have used this restaurant for many years, and this is the first time leaving a review! Possible an injustice on my behalf. Tonight we had a considerable delay in delivery - which was an inconvenience, however it is too easy to forget about the years of good food and consistency we have had in the past. It's very easy to shatter a reputation on one bad experience - which I why I felt compelled to write this. We will definitely be re ordering as no one is infallible and I appreciate things happen.
