It's gone down-hill foodwise but the owner still remains as rude as ever. Peking sauce and curry sauces both thin and made with uncooked spice powders.

Good ratings in the past but tonight's Chicken Chow Mein was completely devoid of any Chinese flavours. Very basic thin gravy over quite a lot of chicken and mushy beansprouts. Won't reorder.

We have food from Dragon City previously and it was not good, what a surprise when we ordered last night and the food was excellent, rumours were going around that food was delicious, the rumours were correct , the best Chinese takeaway food in the north east, keep it up

Standards are usually high ...but not on this occasion. Maybe time to try elsewhere. I would still recommend this takeaway

This is probably the best Chinese in Spennymoor, but there isn't very much competition, as I have tried the others and they are really poor.I Was recommended this one and the food was ok, but wouldn't say it was anything over and above reasonable. The chicken curry was good, beef and black bean sauce good and the chow mien average. Reasonable fried rice, poor chips and the starter spring rolls were poor. Overall, it is reasonably priced and tasty enough to fill up with, other than that, nothing special.

Heard good reviews recently so we gave the Chinese Dragon a go, good Friendly service very helpful, arrived early piping hot, But....and it’s the most important part the taste or lack off, Vegetable and King prawn Curry tasteless, no spice just tasted like powder and water, really very disappointing, and I feel guilty for writing this review, is there a Good Chinese Takeaway in the Spennymoor area, so far we haven’t found one

Best in the area. Great portion sizes. Originally started to use the Welcome Inn when we found out the previous owners of the Evergreen at Fram were here, they have since retired but the food is still great. Recommended

The chips with batter were great; one portion would easily feed two, service was quick and friendly. I’m told the spam fritter was delicious, the batter lovely and crisp, so I assume the same would be true of fish. Avoid the pies, however. Microwaved to such an extent the pastry was like titanium. Except for one small spot in the middle of the lid. Literally inedible. I would likely have given this an “Ecellent” had I ordered something other than a pie.

Payed 25 pound for absolutely nothing. Worse Chinese I’ve ever had. Portions sizes for price wudnt even feed child. Cold. Hard. Resembled cardboard. Missing items. Rude unhelpful argumentative on phone refused to solve any issues
