Bought sausage chips gravy was great but only got one sausage with it was more like chips nd gravy only but payed for extra for a sausage will not go back there

Its very nice but expensive and the meat and portions sizes are quite smal.l It would be better worth the money if portion sizes increase.

Popped in after many years and ordered Spare ribs King prawn Salk and pepper Sweet and sour Hong Kong style Soft noddles The food was fantastic, I would say restaurant standard easy Would 100% recommend this Chinese takeaway

Got chicken chowmein special chop suey and salt n pepper chips and there was literally no difference between the two mains unseasoned and bland the chips were reasonable wont be ordering from there again

Been going there since moving here 9 years ago. Go there every week or two. Dishes may not be as big as they were, but always tasty nonetheless. The owners are dead nice and polite too. I recommend!

First time and last here Chinese food that was not Chinese food it was as if anybody threw frozen vegetables and chicken in a flying pan disgusting no flavour at all except foistie chicken was chewy. Avoid if was you

My favourite takeaway. The lovely lady on the front desk is always so polite and friendly. Never had a bad meal from here yet. The food is always delicious and good value and the portion sizes are very generous. My only gripe is that they tend to underestimate the time it takes for your order. Many times I've been told it'll be 15-20 mins but ends up being 30-35. But I don't mind really as the food is always cooked fresh to order. Would definitely recommend

Chilton Chinese best sweet n sour ove had

We had a chinese from here on the weekend and it was one of the nicest ones we've had for a while. We have been here a few time and it has been nice but on this occasion it was so much nicer the chicken in the sweet and sour was delicious. The prawn crackers also went down a treat as we find a lot of places don't have nice ones. We will look forward to returning!

the food is normally really nice how ever after the meal we got last week i won't be returning most of it went in the bin after discovering what can only be described as a moths wing in my husbands curry never again never again will i go there

Memories of my childhood, when I looked forward to Chinese from this shop, unfortunately they only memories, no card payments or delivery service , needs updating, sadly when you walk in , everything feels cold , shabby , food was eaten only because I was hungry , not good , chef needs to tidy himself up, sorry but you can’t have a image like that, in today’s social media age

Love the noodles from this place. Young girl on front of house taking orders very helpful when altering food order to suit preference. Would highly recommend the munchy box and noodles with fried chicken and gravy in a pot.

Expensive meals cheaper in Spennymoor

Not as nice as it used to be. Prices gone up, portions have got smaller and don't get me started on the prawn crackers!! Really disappointed as it's always been my favourite takeaway shop but maybe it's time for a change I think 😏

Got greedy since owners changed trays never full how they used to be prices gone up food not as good swore I'd never go back and haven't in 4yrs nowhere good in Chilton for food worth travelling or pay for delivery give this place a miss

Not as good as wghen Pac and Sue had it and is hit and miss now. Smaller portions and prawn crackers went rite down hill, used to be warm and freshly cooked.

Been going here for years but wont return! Half portions of rice but full price cost! Buy prawn crackers to get 8 in a pick a mix bag! Rip off!

Out of 4 recent visits 3 have resulted on wrong meals in the bag. This is only picked up when we open the trays at home, 10 miles away. We won't be using this place for a long while when, hopefully, they have new staff.

The 2 sirloins were cheap steak full of gristle not sirloins wont go back again been customer for many years

This shop has been in the same family since it opened about 50 years ago. I think that speaks for itself.

Best chips, fried rice and curry sauce

First class, good food quick and very reasonable.

Chinese was delicious! Curry is lovely and service is fast was really nice meal for a date night :) I gone before regularly with friends and family etc never had any issues

Been here a couple of times now , not disappointing. Very fast service pleasant staff. The menu is limited but it is located on a terrace so not very big. I thought it was a little pricey compared to other takeaways in nearby areas. I would use again when passing

Unexpected treat, drive past this Chinese food outlet every day, just thought I'd give it a try. Lovely greeting at counter with big smile. Simple menu good choices, upon getting home food was hot and delightful. Will visit again, thank you ;-)

We tried this place as a friend said it was lovely...on getting our order home my husband discovered there was no egg fried rice (that he did order) the chicken strips were extremely greasy and had loads of uncooked batter in between the crispy batter and the chicken..yak! He then went on to discover that his curry was all in the bottom of the carrier bag and basically inedible. The chips we had in the bag were average at absolute best! Being starving by this point he decided to dip a chip in the curry to taste it and it was just peppered...no curry taste at all! My son had BBQ sauce to go with his chicken and said as soon as he tried it he felt sick! It was so sour smelling! I rang them to let them know about the spilt curry and the missing rice...they said we could have the money back...I rang them back to say I wanted a full refund as the whole order was inedible and had gone in the bin...Elisha said this was ok, I had to offer my details, as she was about to hang up, and arrangements were made to collect the refund the next night (it was getting on and neither of us wanted to go back out at this point...We're already having to make alternative tea for us all) When my husband went in to collect the refund he was told that ALL he could have was a free meal and basically laughed out of the shop! I called to question this and was basically told that it was free food or nothing! They checked the order before it left so that was that...it's not their fault we didn't like the food because there was nothing wrong with our order as it left the premises...I guess the fact the egg fried rice was missing and the curry was all spilt must have been our doing?? Getting absolutely nowhere with the person I was talking to on the phone I just said I have learnt the expensive way that your service is disgusting just like your food...I then thanked her for nothing and ended the call. This place is a first class joke and I would strongly advise getting your Chinese from ANYWHERE else.

We eat here regularly. This is a very busy little Chinese takeaway. However, the lady at the counter always greets us with a smile and the time to cook the meal is very, very quick. There is a limited menu, but the food they prepare is good. There are also some european dishes as alternatives to the Chinese food. At the weekend we had prawn toast, sweet and sour king prawns, vegetable curry, fried rice and chips which we thoroughly enjoyed,

The best curry by far for miles around usually shop here Mary and Pat really have got it right excellent.
