We ate here on Sunday 23rd March, we have used and recommended it to friends over the past 20 years. We arrived just after 4pm and having been advised that bookings were only taken for after 6pm, we turned up expecting a wait. We were seated straight away and our orders for both food and drinks taken promptly. Our meals arrived within 15 minutes of our arrival. The menu offers a fair choice but since Covid it has been significantly reduced in items and I felt the food quality on our more recent visits, was not as good as it once was. The food is more costly than at our local Chinese Restaurant but that possibly reflects the higher London costs. The most obvious and I feel negative element to our meal experience was the staff. Although they were polite they were very direct and brisk in their manner, you certainly would not come here for the friendly greeting or helpful comments relating to your meal selection. That said, I would eat here again if in the area.

Well to be fair we canât criticise the food just the inability to even get into the restaurant. This was our first visit and we booked for 6pm They give you a booked window of 1hr 45 minutes , this was fine and fitted in with our plans to finish by 8pm We were there just after 6, so at 605 we were faced with a stairwell with about 30 people queuing upstairs. We asked a couple in front and they said like us they had booked for 6pm and werenât sure what was going on. Itâs was now 615pm I went up and I could see a large queue and one person in charge at the top saying yes this is the queue for those who have booked. It was now 620pm the queue wasnât really moving so we left . If this itâs what itâs like (?) not somewhere I would ever go back to. Itâs a miserable experience queuing in a stairway in February with no idea what is going on.

went to the restaurant on the top floor tried ordering food I wanted to know if I needed to order rice as well as the dish sadly man who was serving me could not understand what I was saying because he did not speak English and the man behind the desk also had bad English so I left and to eat down stairs

Han estado comiendo en Hap Lee desde 1992. TodavĂa volvemos allĂ a pesar de no vivir cerca. Es la mejor y mĂĄs autĂ©ntica comida china. Los mismos dueños chefs desde la apertura del restaurante. A pesar de reducir el tamaño en el espacio, sigue siendo un placer comer la calidad de la comida y aĂșn asĂ una gran relaciĂłn calidad-precio. Mi esposa, hijas y otros miembros de la familia coinciden en la calidad de los alimentos. Fuimos de nuevo el viernes 20 de diciembre de 2024 y nos encantĂł ver a otros comiendo y el telĂ©fono no dejĂł de sonar para llevar. Ignora cualquier comentario negativo que hayamos comido en muchos restaurantes chinos y este tiene la mejor comida. Golosinas especiales entremeses mixtos (especialmente las costillas) , pollo Kung po, arroz frito especial, chile crujiente, fideos de langostino rey etc.

I get the take away box for ÂŁ3.95 regularly for lunch whilst at work. It isn't going to win any awards but is nice for the money.

I ordered via JustEat and it took 1h45minutes to be delivered. I rang the restaurant twice to be told the order was âjust leaving nowâ both times. When the food arrived it was cold and had items missing. I rang the restaurant again and told them about my missing items and queried anotherâs size/quantity and quality for the price. For reference this is the appetiser which is just a tiny amount of cucumber and onion with a tiny tub of hoisin sauce for ÂŁ6.50. When I queried, the owner laughed at me because I received a JustEat discount when placing the order and the owner said that it doesnât matter as I didnât actually pay for it since I got a discount. The owner also told me I havenât lived in this country for long which is why I donât understand the pricing. They laughed and showed a complete lack of professionalism. ÂŁ6.50 and some chicken balls being missed isnât that big of an issue in itself, but I am shocked and disappointed at the customer service and definitely will not be using this place again. I wish I had listened when I read the bad reviews before i ordered⊠will not be making that mistake again!

First time ordering tonight (Christmas eve) fabulous service, quick delivery, polite delivery driver. As for the food it was delicious đ, will definitely order from them again!!

ÂŁ50 of food for delivery, half of it missing. Restaurant uncontactable and app complaint rejected by restaurant. Absolute rubbish, if you have to have KFC there are loads of other branches around, or just choose another place nearby. Do not order from here.
