We ordered from here for the first time last night have to say it was the nest Chinese we have had in a long time! Will be ordering from here again!

Ordered BBQ ribs and Singapore fried rice. The ribs were ok but the star of the takeaway was the rice and I will definitely be ordering that again.

By far, i can say this is the best chinese food i have ever eaten. The flavour, texture and everything is absolutely divine I have also gotten sushi a few times and was also very impressed. The fish is fresh, and you can tell the rice is freshly cooked. Overall, i 100% recommend Taya if you’re looking for some great chinese food.

I ordered chicken katsu, which was £8.99, got charged £10.50. I collected so I should of got 12% off. When I asked the guy he said he had given me the 12% off. Obviously he hadn't as it was advertised at £8.99. Got home the food was cold. I wont be going back again.

Will never order from them called up today to order as a new customer and was told can you call me back i am really busy mid order like I am doing them a favour by spending my money there do not every post any letters in my post box again godstone road you know who I am appalling service

The worst service I have ever received from a sushi company, I’ve ordered on Deliveroo at 10pm and called at 11pm asking where the order is and got told there was a problem with the computer and to contact Deliveroo for a refund as it was past their closing time even though my order was within their ‘open’ timeslot before 11pm closing (instead of correcting the issue on THEIR END). I had the option to order between IRO SUSHI and Taya and stupidly I picked Taya and deeply regret my decision. Now it’s late at night and I’m starving with no sushi and have to go through the stress of retrieving my refund with Deliveroo. I’ve ordered here before and I’m an avid sushi local business supporter and will never shop here again. Thanks a lot. Beyond disappointing .

We ordered online - they missed a dish but once we called the restaurant they had one delivered swiftly! The staff were extremely polite and understanding. The food was also amazing - would definitely recommend!

Had to cancel this place which is a shame my chicken balls were pink and I definitely can’t risk second chances when it comes to food. I think they take on more than they can handle kitchen is very small and they try to run two restaurants from here.

Decent food but super slow delivery. Absolute joke.

Hi,the food was not bad, just got one of the starters swapped with something else. Guys it is expensive enough not to make mistakes like that. And rice crackers aren't free anymore unless you spent over £30. Well how's that working out for you? I'm sick at home, can't cook. I'm not accounting the ice cream. So £35 for soup, some silly dumplings instead of ribs, duck spring rolls and beef egg noodle. Looking at the amount of food (not great), the ingredients... I'm a single guy on nearly £3K/month and I don't think this is gonna be a regular thing. A specially if there aren't humble enough or shall we say, arrogant enough to make mistakes and send out different food. How can you effort that?

Best Chinese food in the area! Love this place.

Amazing as always. We get takeaway from here almost every week because it’s that good! The food is consistently delicious and hot even when delivered up to our remote area. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough, especially as they offer such a wide range of Asian cuisines.

My wife has been poorly recently, so I decided to cheer her up with some tasty Chinese food for lunch. The only delivery place we could find that was open at lunchtime in our area was Taya. Oh dear. I suppose I can't dispute that it was food, but tasty or Chinese it was not. It was great to see they had a Lunchtime special, which looked like it offered a main dish and a rice or noodle dish for a tenner (ordered normally, these would come to around £15). We added some crab and sweetcorn soup to the order as well. Ordering and paying on the website was easy enough, and the delivery came when they said - although 45 minutes for a relatively small order on a Tuesday lunchtime seems a bit much. However, we found that the "Special" bit of the Lunchtime Special was to reduce it to half- portions: only 5 chicken balls, a tiny pot of dayglo orange "sweet and sour sauce", and half a portion of noodles. The takeout container was actually divided in two, to ensure they didn't actually give us enough food by accident. So we paid £10 for about £7.50 of food. This was also only luke warm, so a lot of the 45 minutes was spent with this dish sitting around, it would appear. The soup was at least piping hot, but I doubt it had been closer to an actual crab than the restaurant building has to Glasgow. Instead, we were "treated" to chopped-up supermarket fish sticks. Eating the chicken balls, I found that one of mine was not chicken at all, but some kind of vegetable - possibly swede? As a former Hong Kong resident, I know a lot about authentic Chinese cuisine, and this was as far from that as London is from China. Rest assured, I shall never be ordering food from these cowboys again, and I really hope this review persuades you to avoid them too.

I had last week sushi. That was lovely. Portion was good enough too. Price are reasonable. Im impressed. I will be back definitely. Sushi was amazing even hot food too. Thank you taya

Don’t mind the bad comments. My order was late, took 30 minutes more than expected. But it was worth the wait! Chow mein, shrimp balls, crispy beef amazing! Best chinese takeaway around! The reason of 4 stars is not the delay, but shrimp wontons. There was nothing but the dough, they were flat and not even wonton shaped. It was like a sheet of dough, which was really disappointing. But overall, great restaurant.

The manager here is a working machine, he’s efficient. I’m always happy with my food, it arrives hot, fresh & tastes the same every time. They sent the wrong dish once but within minutes the correct dish was at my house.

I was a regular customer. The quality and quantity in recent months have gone down. The dishes I usually ordered were far from authentic, but they were decent for the price. The most recent order was the turning point for me. I placed order at 12:30, and the expected delivery was at 13:30. The actual delivery was at 14:30, and I had to call them twice. It only takes 1 big mistake like this to lose a loyal customer, and I guess they probably don't care. I could've given 1 star, but to be fair there were great times in the past. The sushi was very good, with generous amounts of fish and other ingredients, well-made and beautifully presented.

Advertised on Uber Eats with a wider delivery area than the reality so you order and then they just cancel if they don’t fancy coming to you. Really poor service. Uber Eats should remove them for misuse of the platform and false advertising and time-wasting.

Some of the food was ok but the coconut rice tasted like coconut oil and candy floss - inedible!! One piece of Chicken in pad Thai.. unbelievable. Deliveroo took no responsibility either

I ordered sweet and sour chicken hong kong style & special chow mein. Both were a bit more expensive than what I was expecting, but they at least use large containers and fill them to the top unlike some other places I have tried in the area. For that reason I would say it was comparable and worth it as they both tasted great. Paid £14.something with the collection discount they offer (dont remember the exact number) and it was definitely enough for two people. I would have liked less onion as there were large uncooked chunks which weren't cut small enough for me and I ended up throwing away, but overall I would still recommend and order from here again. 5stars

My mom hated the food and had complaints. I'm bedridden and couldn't go in to see. Had someone take pics that the manager asked for. I don't have What's App and he didn't have an email address. No refund, wasted money. Mom said duck was all fat, stringy and the egg fried rice was plain rice. Very disappointing experience. Shame to lose a customer for £20.

Fast delivery, large portions and great quality. One of the best oriental fast foods I've come across in the UK.

The Duck Pancakes are quite delicious, however the Egg Fried Rice is quite dry and has no taste.

Excellent food, delivered hot and short wait time

I ordered plain chowmin which naturally comes with spring onions, carrot, bean sprouts and onions in your takeaway restaurant. In a note I mentioned no onion ,no egg .that does not mean I told you no carrot, bean sprouts, spring onion also .you delivered me a plain chowmin without anything with the price of £5.95 .how can I eat this ?I can buy the only egg noodles from the supermarket right???no need to order from your place anymore.

I placed an order on the phone for delivery and the person that took my order was very polite and nice my food arrived on time it was nice and hot and the food was lovely would definitely recommend this place for people who likes Chinese and sushi.

Best sushi I’ve had 14 pieces of salmon lover and it was very nice and tasty very fresh.

Excellent taste. We especially like and order their Chicken Katsu curry and sometimes other sushi items. They also have Chinese food outlet in same place.Friendly staff.

Just had a takeaway from Taya Oriental. We ordered it and within minutes it arrived. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was loaded with chicken and the chilli beef was delicious. Chicken chow mien was lovely too. Certainly not the cheapest around but really lovely food and not greasy at all. Loved it.

Have ordered from here many times and not had many problems aside from an occasional missed item or incorrect item. Ordered a takeaway today and quite clearly stated what we wanted over the phone. He didn't say how much it would be, we turned up and paid and came back to find a missing item. We added up our items from the menu that they had given us when we picked it up, and we realised that either we had been overcharged for a missed item or that we had received a minimal discount and they had forgotten an item. Called the restaurant to let them know and the manager couldn't explain what had happened, suggesting that all of the menu prices had changed (so the menu they had given us 5 minutes prior was incorrect and out of date) and he refused to give us our item. He was threatening and rude, and it's the most shocking customer service I have received for a long time, which is disappointing considering we are regular customers. Will not be going here again as they are expensive and apparently pretty rude, and would advise you to steer clear also.

It is 'do it all' sushi and oriental place. Service is actually pretty good (ordering take away), quite quick turn around, but the quality of food below average. I guess it kind of matches the price. It is not overly priced, but still the quality of food lets this place down. It seems that locals love it, so it has its own following.

Ordered late at night and just got the absolute dregs…. Only decent items was smoked shredded chicken and chicken satay :) beef chow mein was awful, beef tough. Would not reccomend unless ordering starters

I had some noodles from here at the weekend which I ate with a friend. Both of us have been violently ill for the last two days. Clearly could not of been caused by anything other than the food from this site. Have reported to the local health authority with what I had left in the bin and waiting to hear back from them. My best suggestion would be there’s lots of great take-aways in the area… just avoid this one

We ordered dinner from taya Singapore noddles and had food poisoning for 3 days

Ordered 2 portions of dumplings one crispy shredded chicken and a prawn in sezchuan sauce said 45 mins didn't recieve for an hour and a half food turned up freezing cold and spent all night in bed with stomach ache still can't eat anything today

Collected £45 worth of sushi and unfortunately not only the fish is not fresh the sea bass sashimi definitely was off, which in turn made us not eat any of it. Even the edamame was old and tasteless. When it come to the sushi Please stay away!

We ordered food, as always came wrong! Called the guy who took the order, he said we ordered Singapore noodles but we never did. We always order Singapore rice. Then he said he will send the rice again..As we was starving, we called after 20 mutinies and said we won’t order again as they do the mistake all the time!! He wasn’t sorry at all for his mistake..He said, he doesn’t want us to order..That’s there customer service!! By the way it’s came wrong again, as we had requested not to put leek in to the rice😂😂

Hands down the worst Chinese I have ever had. Shredded beef was just deep fried pockets of air smothered in a horrible sauce. Peng sauce was tasteless. and now the following morning i’m on the toilet.

Ordered from taya tonight & After eating a good few mouthfuls of my Hong Kong style chicken I noticed the chicken was raw and uncooked! I wrote a review on just eat but they have removed it and all the bad reviews. Stay clear as many people have reviewed it being unhygienic and uncooked food!.

Sent stone cold food and squid instead of tofu. Just made excuses... Clearly didn't care that they had made such a mistake and said no the food was not cold and argued about only sending us tofu instead of replacing the meal. Said that I must scrape the food back into the containers which I did but the driver refused to take it so I was left with a mess. Half of the new food hot... Half cold. Wrong sauce and extremely spicy hard flavourless tofu. No they will not give a refund. Nice

I started to love their lunch boxed they do 12-4 on Just eat and I order since few weeks to have it at work. Really love the cashew chicken with egg rice! Seems fresh to me and I enjoy it even when reheated so can’t tell a bad word. They have own driver who is always smiling and polite. He thought I order 2-3 portions as I have kinds but I don’t it’s just so nice to take it to work and have lovely lunch haha

We used to order for Taya a lot and the service and food were fantastic. Not sure what’s happened recently but the food took three hours to arrive of which 1.5 were with the driver. When we claimed a refund (of course the food was stone cold) the restaurant text us saying we had “robbed” them. All very bizarre indeed!

I ordered a delivery at 21 .00clock and I received the food at 21.10 the food was upsolutyl horrible the rice was black color and very very old, the cioccolat cackle was 4.25 it was small and at list 2 weeks old.I am very disappointed for sure I won’t call this place again I won’t raccomandata this place to anyone the rest of food I put all in a been I am very surprise way this is still open he deserved to close , who ever ordered food from this place be careful because can be very contaminated 100/100

Appalling service. Over half an hour late and then missing two dishes. Phoned to ask where they are. Wife told she is a “liar” and not to order from them again (like we would). Avoid at all costs as they’ve basically stolen £15 from us this evening.

Ordered sushi takeway several times and it just doesn’t hit the spot for me which is odd because I love sushi. It doesn’t taste fresh to me.

Ordered a Thai green and red curry , opens both the pots and it smelt like cheese , later to find out the chicken was not cooked and the sauce had gone off , do not waste your money here , the golden dragon about 2 minutes Down the toad is cheaper and 1000 times better then this place

This was my first time ordering from Taya Oriental but definitely not the last. The food is tasty and they give a fair portion. Mind you, I'm vegetarian so cannot say a word about the fish/meat dishes but plus point for the so many veggie alternatives.

Disgusting.. DO NOT ORDER FROM AND I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM!!! They put my raw fish with heated food and I projectile vomited at 2am when I ate at 3pm. Lost half the food before as couldn’t eat some.. late delivery, ajd tried to leave a concise review on just eat and it only allowed the stars.. seriously this place will kill you!!’

I called ahead of ordering as I wanted to change the king prawn pineapple rice for chicken. Well I did as they said. I put my request in the notes. When I got home with my order, I noticed my request had not been filled. I was told to call head office instead of dealing with my complaint. The food is FRESH no seasoning at all. Not returning mate....

Probably the worst attempt at Sushi / Japanese food we have ever had !!! It looked like it was prepared with an axe and a chainsaw and then left to sit out in the sun until it got turned to rubber Truly awful 😞 and definitely not made by someone who has any knowledge or experience in proper preparation of Sushi or Japanese food.

Just ordered Thai from the menu and its gone straight to the bin. When opened it smelt like dog food. Tasted awful. Not traditional Thai. Would never order from here again.

Had an issue with the wrong food being delivered. Called and asked to send the right food and encountered a very rude man (sounds similar to the other reviews). Long story short we spoke to the owner and he was a gentleman and resolved it instantly. Delivery man was also great. Food was delicious. Simple changes would have made this 5 stars.

Overpriced and shocking customer service.

we ordered food from them yesterday. Mushroom soup-extremely salty, when we called the restaurant the person over the phone said it is because of mushroom..He had no idea what justification he was giving. 2. stir fry chicken with cashew nuts- they used lemon chicken from their menu and add sweet sauce in it . when we asked for refund they said its not their responsibility ..the person on the phone was extremely rude chef is experimenting with half thai and half Chinese recipes ( we been to various thai restaurants as we like thai food) never had such a pathetic experience about food and customer service. this is not worth giving a star but it wont allow to post the review

Excessively salty food and extremely rude unapolgetic customer service. We ordered a crispy duck, chicken and mushroom soup and malaysian kung po stir fry. The crispy duck was ok, dont think there much to go wrong with that. The soup was so salty that after having two sips, you feel you want to puke it out. The stir fry was tasteless. When we called the restaurant, we were rudely told off as " i dont understand why you are calling us, you ordered from uber, call them ". A friday relaxing dinner completely spoiled leaving the family hungry. Best of fate to all those people who may order from them in the future.
