Wok Inn Express in Croydon

Never had any issues. We like to mix it up when ordering a Chinese takeaway and we've ordered from here a few times. Yes I think its quite pricey but it's all delivered quickly, food is hot and never had any problems with anything. Don't think we've ever waited longer than 40 minutes for a delivery. Would defo recommend

Excellent food very tasty good prices and they even gave free prawn crackers. Delivered on time and lady speaks good English on phone. Very tasty food

Excellent food and generous portions and delivered quickly. Would highly recommend. Delivered to the door and even received free prawn crackers which was very nice of them. Will definitely be ordering again. Ordered directly with restaurant as that’s cheaper than Justeat and deliveroo. Lady on phone was able to take down my order very quickly.

Absolutely amazing food no problems

Ordered two special fried rice at £14 and I can honestly say I’ve eaten Pot Noodles with more flavour. I found myself sifting through the meat in an attempt to provide my taste buds hope of flavour but that didn’t work. I won’t be returning…. I’ll stick to Pot Noodles, the disappointment is cheaper!

Food was cold. Over priced. One Of the worse Chinese takeaway I ever had. I will not be going back there again. The phone person did not listen.

Great food delivered really quickly

I ordered special fried rice in which it was tasteless, rice was overcooked, there was barely any meat and if you thought that was bad enough I also found a small piece of plastic in it, when I called in to tell them the woman exclaimed that it was chilli flakes... Funny that, I never knew chilli flakes where solid and wouldn't brake even if you pressed a knife against them. She also refused to refund me.

Waited over an hour for the food which was cold, over cooked with stale prawn crackers... the vegetable spring rolls were so over cooked they had no filling inside, I could of banged a nail in wood they were that hard... If I could of awarded this place minus stars I definatly would have. AWFUL FOOD, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON COLD FOOD WHICH IS FIT FOR THE BIN AS IT IS NOT FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION...

We never use any where else prices are reasonable and the food is always tasty never had a bad takeaway usually have a delivery very quick service

Tried food from here four years ago and was disappointed haven’t been back since. Thought I would give it another go today to see of It’s change and was disappointed again. I found the food bland and lacked flavour. Sadly the best one in coulsdon Szechuan Garden has permanently closed down.

Ordered a takeaway this evening and I am shocked at how bad it is. Whoever is in the kitchen clearly doesn’t care or know how to cook. Save your money and taste buds.

Use this place regularly, food is always piping hot, often comes before time stated, food is of a high standard. Have tried many others in the area and always come back to the Wok inn

This has literally become a family staple, delivery is a tab bit expensive but its worth it, their food has been consistently fantastic. They honestly have the best won ton soup ive ever had.

We have just received a meal from the WOK IN EXPRESS in Coulsdon. We asked for large meals and only got small, there was sauce missing from another meal. Tried to call them and there were constantly engaged. After 30 minutes we decided to go down there and get the missing food but all we was offered was £10 off our £64:60 bill we had paid. Before anybody's orders any food from the above then be warned. WE WILL NOT USE WOK INN EXPRESS AGAIN.

Extremely bad service tonight, mixed up our order so I rang to get them to correct it but after 100 redials I couldn't get through! So off we go to get them to fix their mistake but when we get there they wasn't in the least bit bothered, they were more interested in answering the phone or dealing with the delivery driver. At this point we are angry, our daughter and family are at home waiting for us to continue the birthday celebrations, but we are stuck with dealing total idiots. We told them to come and collect all the food but they refused. We will never use this place again, very disappointed.

awful experience tonight, will never use these people again. Totally mucked up order and customer service really bad. They didnt want to know about their mistakes, ruining my daughters birthday tea!

Dreadful food after a wait of 45 Minutes whilst one other person came into the shop and one Other person to pick up a take away. Good was inedible, overcooked, reheated and burnt. On going back to complain they basically did not want to know - I had about 5 dishes costing about £25 and was offered a portion of noodles as compensation (why would I eat them anyway as the first lot had black burnt bits in and tasted foul).

I was looking for a place to buy dinner, on a Sunday night. Having driven past this place numerous times, over the past couple of years, I decided to try the Wok Inn Express. Most times I have looked at it while passing on the bus, it's been closed. It turns out they are only open for lunch, between Noon and 2PM, Monday through Saturdays, and 5PM to 11PM for dinner. On Sundays, they are just open for dinner, 5PM to 11PM. They are also closed on Tuesdays. This is strictly a takeaway restaurant. I decided to have my usual Chinese dish, beef fried rice. They offer rice dishes in regular and large sizes. Observing the prices on the menu, I elected to have a regular size. Their price was 10 pence less than the Chinese takeaway I usually go to. So far, so good. The staff were pleasant and polite. I asked for some chili oil on top, to make it spicy, and the lady taking my order nodded that it would be possible. My food was cooked to order, quickly. I took the package outside, to eat in my car. That's where the disappointment began. The serving size was much smaller than the place I usually go. Furthermore, there wasn't chili oil on top. It looked like a few hot chili slices were cooked in, but that wasn't the same and not what I asked for. I don't know where the confusion was, whether the person who took the order misheard me, or the cook didn't understand. Aside from these two disappointments, the food was tasty and seemed to contain fresh ingredients. My usual Chinese takeaway is in Streatham, not much good if you find yourself in Coulsdon. Also, my usual place isn't open on Sundays. One other plus for Wok Inn Express is that they take credit and debit cards. I don't live in Coulsdon, so I don't have to order food from here. If you do and choose to order from Wok Inn Express, it seems the food will be of decent quality. They also deliver. The food quality is very good, only let down by the price/serving size ratio.

A very pleasant discovery. Called in one night out of hungry necessity, and was more than delighted to stumble across this culinary delight. The food was excellent - NO MSG - and beautifully cooked. A regular haunt from now on.
