The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Thurrock East of England

Ordered chicken with vegetables, Chicken balls with barbecue sauce, Egg fried rice and plain chow mein. The egg fried rice was obviously microwaved and it wasn’t done very well as it had lots of cold Spots Which is actually quite dangerous and can make you seriously ill. The chow mein smelt burnt like it was cooked on a dirty wok, And the chicken balls were very greasy and was obviously cooked in oil that hasn’t been changed in a long time. Even the chicken in the chicken and mushrooms dish was very rubbery. This was to feed me, my partner and our two young children this just made it stressful ! I did call up the shop and thankfully they did offer to replace the food but certainly didn’t want anything else to eat from the shop. I ended up going back there with chow mein and the noodles and they gave me £10 back out of the £20 we spent, But it was still a waste of £10 and a total waste of time. Nice enough to give some money back, but you shouldn’t be selling food like that or microwaving rice! I don’t understand how some food establishments cook food to such a low standard and deem it to be acceptable. It’s no good blaming the chef because everyone is at fault, He is not the owner of the shop and all staff members have a responsibility to ensure the quality of food is good.

Been here my whole life but just can’t afford to keep going anymore, the prices are crazy, yeah you can blame inflation but drive a town or 2 over to tilbury and their Chinese takeaways are giving you a full box meal for like £7, can’t spend less than £15-20 here on what I’d consider basic menu items Lovely food and staff, but overpriced themselves from others with same quality

No longer a restaurant - just doing takeaways now, but always a friendly welcome and a good "special offer" to chose from too.

They improved their services! Their food is soooooo good! Try the Sweet Chilli ribs and Singapore udon noodles! Thank me later 💗

I ordered lemon chicken the sauce was like a blob of jelly and the chicken was dry because of not enough sauce won't be ordering again only ordered after reading the reviews and my nearest one was closed

If you want good food, a good atmosphere, and to be treated like a customer, then get in the car and go somewhere else. This place is a throwback from the 70’s, with rude staff, poor facilitates, and dated look altogether. The only people that ever go here are the “natives”, and that’s because fly never strays too far from the turd

Great restaurant, food fantastic. The manager did a drink and food deal for £40. He kept bring the food out. Great deal. Food was lovely. On the drink menu there were even cocktails. The house special was lovely. Highly recommend this place. Been 3 times now in the last 6 wks.,

Thank you for a delicious take away meal this evening. Hot crispy pancake roll packed with flavour, and very enjoyable special chow mein. Also thank you for staying open late.

As I walked in, already greeted by a young man! Bright smile all the time, even quickly moving out from behind the reception and opening the door widely to let a electric scooter driven by a pensioner into the shop, very helpful. After we ordered, received a voucher and he explained to us what it’s about, shortly our foods is ready and we noticed free crackers as well, if you ordered over £20. Everything freshly cooked in an open kitchen, quickly and professionally. My favorite Wall Siu Chicken was lovely, sweet chili sauce over sliced chicken breast meat. Definitely worth recommending this place. Service is second to none!

Food is good but if they get the order wrong and you question it they are beyond rude and absolutely no help. Apparently I ordered crispy seaweed instead of lamb never would have as we hate seaweed.

Got a takeaway from here last night , what a disappointment , cold bbq spare ribs with no meat , s/s chicken balls were off you could smell the eggs were off in the thick soggy batter. Thought it might be nice to try a different takeaway and wished I hadn’t bothered , I will not be returning!!!!!

This is the best Chinese takeaway we have nearby and the food is always amazing. Only annoyance is having to wait to get through but I appreciate everyone locally wants to get an excellent takeaway x

Always earlier than time given. I only order for myself but always delivered hot and delicious by a friendly driver. Cannot fault them!

Food is great, but the service is exceptional. The young girl working at the counter was incredibly helpful and kind while maintaining professional and being able to multitask underpressure well. swallow
