The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

Two different dishes had the same ingredients with the smallest amount of meats in them. Real shame as I have been using this place for years. Will no longer use

20:40 Ordered for a delivery. When turned up there was a dish missing. So called to say that a dish was missing. Was told over the phone that we hadn't even asked for this. My daughter heard me order and said to the guy on the phone that she had heard her father ask for the dish. He said he was the owner. He then turned up on the doorstep 10 mins later with the missing dish and was more or less squaring up to my 20 year old daughter. Arguing with her. Must say my daughter never complains or argues. So certainly did not instigate this or was rude. Been ordering from here for a while now. And there was a missing dish last month. But just put it down to a one off. But to be confronted like this, by the owner, by his own admission, disgusting service. Food wasn't up to standard either. Most went in the bin, I always try and support our local businesses. This one however, will not be given another chance. My advice, to customers, avoid. My advice to the owner, get some training in customer service.

We use this chinese regularly and the food is always absolutely delicious - it's our go to after a late swimming lesson! Thank you for saving our Thursdays!

Takeaway, previously was okay, and a favourite of the adult kids who are fussy, but very disappointed in the meal, szechuan chicken, Chilli chicken ordered, very gloopy, thick sauce but more vegetables than meat, Black bean Beef, hardly any beef and just not cooked the normal way, again all very yukky texture wise, not enjoyable at all, the chicken balls sweet and sour, greasy, not enjoyable, we placed order for a couple of hours into the evening and still had to wait 20 minutes when we got there which seemed pointless ordering, but you think okay busy night, its a Friday, and would have been forgiven if food was half decent, the special rice was okay but again limited to the 'special' extras in there, they have done much better rice before, even the crackers were tasteless, Tescos own brand more flavour and will not want next time, in fact, as a treat night this was a let down, so sorry will not be going again just in case its the same.

This place absolutely demolished the art of Chinese food and the beautiful culture that goes with this. Thoroughly disappointed and should be ashamed.

Disappointing. I gave them a second chance as they used to be fantastic. Unfortunately still not good. I have no words for the vegetable mini rolls 🥺. Now looking for a new Chinese takeaway.

Only one word. AMAZING! All of the available dishes were tasty and also a lot of choices for vegetarians. My personal FAV is definitely the Special Fried Rice

Food is great. But it takes sooo long to place an order. And it takes even longer to get it delivered. Started phoning st 5pm. It’s now 7:32 and still no food. Do yourselves a favour and don’t bother. Get a curry - Indian Summer are great.

The other day me and my family had some food from here. I had chicken balls with rice sweet and sour sauce with bamboo shoots my grandad had spare ribs and noodles and my nan had BBQ pork with fried rice. We drove here to collect the food and it was nice and warm and it was delicious. I highly recommend here to go for a Chinese takeaway.

I am regular here and have tried lots of dishes. No its not restaurant grade as expected as all chinese takeaway places arnt! Ignore all the bad reviews about this place. People just love to dish it out dont they.. its good tasty food. 😋

My granddaughter wanted to come here for her birthday. This was really awful food. If you want quantity rather than nice tasty food then it’s ok . There is so much msg in the food . None of us ate hardly anything and ate when we got home . Expensive mistake.

I’ve been using this Chinese takeaway for many years and they are yet to let me down. Their food is always delicious and cooked to perfection.

Never will order from them again it disgusting a waste of £36.. the beef friend rices tasted funcky and the beef was chewy. The chips had been cooked again and the pancake roll I orderd came as mini spring rolls and beef curry was disgusting and chicken ball was dry n chewy

I have used this takeaway since mid-90s. It has been fairly consistent and reliable over time. Since the management changed last year the business has declined noticeably. Last visit a few weeks ago. Premises is shabby and neglected. Employers Liability Insurance certificate out of date. Half the chairs are missing which I guess is no issue now as no other customers at 6pm on a Thursday. The guy behind the counter couldn't be less interested if he tried. The business has reverted to cash only which tells its own story. Food was ok but not as good as before. And they've marked the business on Google as 'permanently closed' so you can't leave reviews. Oh dear.

If you want food poisoning go here. Chicken was raw, duck was hard and wet in the bag. Absolutely disgusting talked to many people who got ill there. No management so you wont get a refund
