Happy buddha loddon in South Norfolk

Live locally and thought about getting a take away from here. Checked out their food hygiene rating. It got a 1 star. Must be pretty terrible so went else where

Great take away food was really good and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Usefuly positioned if you are local or staying local or on a boat from the B-roads.

Amazing!! Fantastic quality, very tasty! Not a long wait. Best chinese I’ve ever had! Highly recommend. Was visiting family today and I am very impressed! Will definitely order again from here and the prices are very good as well which was a bonus. Friendly service too.

Tried this place as was recommended by another boater , the food was most enjoyable and very tasty would use again.

The mixed meat dish contained only chicken. The mixed veg was slimey and had no beansprouts. The sauce with the king prawns had a weird taste. The king prawns were full of regurgitated gloop. Probably the worst Chinese meal that we have ever had. We will go back to Indian food next time. At least it tastes good.

Staying in Sisland decided on a takeaway from this Chinese. So glad we did, parking was extremely easy and close by. The food was cooked in minutes, sounded like they have several chefs in the kitchen and back at the barn the food was still piping hot! The crispy chilli beef was the best we have ever had, try it you won’t be disappointed.

We ordered crispy chilli beef and mushroom fried rice... it was spicy and beautiful! The beef had just the right amount of chilli added to it, along with chunky onion pieces!

Food was nice, good Covid measures in place and helpful staff. Chose the meal for one which came in a round tub all together. Initially this look odd but it really was nice so would have it again. Good value.

This takeaway right in centre of loddon with car parks less than 2 minutes away in both directions. It's only 2 minutes from excellent free moorings on parish staithe. The food we had was very good and service was quick. Large varied menu and also good selection of set meals too. Will definitely use again in future.

Very poor chinese cuisine and you have to park up the road, probably one of the worse takeaways ive had!

Ridiculous waiting time. To be clear it was New Year’s Eve. Ordered food at 6:15pm and was told it would be ready at 8pm. Long wait but as it was NYE lived with it. Ordered a curry from The Raj to be ready at the same time - not all of our party wanted Chinese. 8pm comes - curry collected - Chinese paid for then told it will be another 25 minutes before it is actually ready. Unhappy but have live with it - family can’t now eat together. Return for the Chinese and then told it will be further half an hour. Best part of a three hour wait for food - without initial warning - is not acceptable. There are other customers in the take away also unhappy with their actual waiting times - I ask for my money back - I am asked to ring later as they are too busy to issue a refund - they probably are but that’s not the point. I get my refund and leave - the food is usually good here but not worth waiting three hours for. I know it was NYE but a better indication of waiting time is a reasonable expectation. The people ordering on NYE were locals - not holidaymakers - this is customer service guaranteed to annoy regular customers - just be honest about the wait, it’s by far the best policy. The young man serving deserves credit though, he was extremely polite and handled everyone’s complaints about their waits very well.

Food is excellent and service is exceptional, warm inside and a comfortable and clean area for waiting.

20 minutes for cooking our meal at our request is enough for a drink in a nearby pub. Food is tasty, hot and a great variety of dishes on the menu. I adore the crispy wontons. Service excellent

We've been here twice for food and on both occasions were greeted as soon as we were through the door. Ordering was quick and painless and the order was ready reasonably fast. There was a steady stream of customers and the phone was busy too. Our food was tasty, hot and with generous portions. A great little gem.

Think this is possibly the worst Chinese takeaway meal I’ve ever had. Ordered cashew nut dish with roast duck. Hardly any meat - mostly unbrowned fatty skin, with slimy veg & soggy cashews in a light brown completely tasteless sauce.... My husband did not enjoy his beef chow mein dish - very mediocre, again with little taste. Have ordered here in the past & it’s been good but sadly we won’t be supporting this local business again. Surely Happy Bhudda you cannot take pride in producing this poor quality food!

We do not normally eat takeaways but after a long day sightseeing decided to try one and are glad we did we ordered by telephone and collected 20 min later . There were a wide variety of dishes including Thai and English as well as Chinese. We ordered an assortment of Thai and Chinese dishes which were authentic and beautifully cooked. Good service good food and the prices are good. Another to revist next time we're here.

Unbelievable Jeff... not what you expect and as you can see i had 80% of it before I realised why it was terrible

We use this on a regular basis and it's normally good.For the first time ever (after spending lots of money here and being regular customers) my husband rang up to say that the rice was so bad it ruined his meal.Now bearing in mind that he will eat most things, even if they are mediocre at best, this meal must have been bad.The staff refused to believe what my husband said and refused to listen. So my poor husband went hungry.Sadly the whole meal was a disaster. The curry's weren't good (we also asked for one to be extra hot and didn't even get that). The egg foo young was poor and everything was VERY salty. More than normal for a Chinese.We probably would have used them again for food, but after the appalling way my husband has just been treated, we will not be returning.We will also let other people know to go elsewhere. Such a shame. But the shame is on whoever decided to disbelieve us.

The second best Chinese takeaway in Loddon, comfortable waiting area friendly staff. Ample parking within 150 metres

I have been a customer here since the first day it opened, and they have never disappointed. The food is great and packed full of flavour, good size portions and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend

First time having a takeaway from here and overall we really enjoyed it. Food was tasty. Portion sizes were very good. Food was made on time. Will we visit again? Yes.

Strangest Chinese food I have ever eaten.

Love the food here , service can be slow due to the popularity of the menu but everything is cooked to order and tastes all the better for it.

Whilst mooring in Loddon we stumbled upon this takeaway when the 3 pubs in the village didn't have the choice of food we fancied. We were so glad we did as the food was hot and tasty.

Tenía de aquí en varias ocasiones. La comida es siempre deliciosa y el tamaño de las porciones son generosas. Sin embargo, creo que es bastante caro (más de £4 para tostadas de gambas), y algunos de los platos pueden ser bastante grasienta. Además, la comida es siempre cocinada en alrededor de 15 minutos, lo que hace que me pregunte cómo fresco es realmente! Pero, volvería a comer allí de nuevo.

Usamos esta llevar unas cuantas veces y han dejado esperando 40 minutos más para comida ordenados por recogida en un horario preestablecido, en más de una ocasión. Además las solicitudes de reembolsos debido a esperar demasiado tiempo son rechazados. La comida es de calidad media y no valía la pena la espera! Yo no va a utilizar nuevamente, ya que no es la única comida para llevar en on Loddon ...

Ordered at 5 by phone for 6:30 pick up waited an hour is this acceptable no and : not the first time : not happy customer at all : I was not the only one who was forgotten another two had be same wait ; never again

Todo esto está bastante estándar para llevar comida china. El curry podría ser spicier, pero es mejor que algunos de ellos. Hay otra comida para llevar en la ciudad.

Rápido que sirven comida para llevar, sin errores cometidos. Personal acogedor. Agradable lugar para esperar, o ir al Swan cercano para tomar algo rápido

The takeaway was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The meal was the best Chinese I have had for a good while. All the dishes were excellent and portions were a good size. Highly recommended, shame we live 3 hours away otherwise we would certainly return

Ordered over the phone and collected on time cooked vey well good value for money tasted fresh and good quality wood recommend and will go again.

Went here after few beers at the pub across the road. When we had taken our food back to our boat we were impressed it was lovely plenty of chips for the 9 of us and lovely meals all round

Just had another takeaway from here. The first was't too good but we gave it another try, wished we hadn't. Dry chicken, soggy chips, kung po chicken the worst I have ever had. Will not be going there again.

We ordered a takeaway whist on a recent boating holiday. The food was good quality, plentiful and good value for money.
